Revenge Isn't Always The Right Thing
Chapter 19 : Revenge Isn't Always The Right Thing
Hey it's Ambie! I have returned once again so you can enter my crazed imagination! HeeHee, sorry about that...I had a moment. Anyways I have chapter 16, and like I said previously, there's not much left. I DON'T OWN THE 'NARUTO' SERIES AND I NEVER WILL. But Tessaria, Tiamo and Zani are mine, and Mikia belongs to my sis. Have fun!
Kankuro walked away from Tessaria. Why bother trying to get her to return to the village now? It was obvious that her mind had been made up long ago...but why did he feel so desperate to stop her? He shook his head…he didn’t know what he was thinking.
Big deal…it IS her choice after all. It has nothing to do with me.
Kankuro sighed. "I have no place to talk." He said to himself and sat on the ground; Indian style. He let out another sigh and started to mess with a blade of grass on the ground next to him.
His amusement was short-lived though. His peace of mind was interrupted when he felt somebody kick him in the back. "QUIT SULKING!" Came Mikia’s happy voice.
Kankuro turned to his cousin angrily. "Who’s sulking? I’m just THINKING." He said and stood up from the ground. He rested his back against a nearby tree and crossed his arms. "What do you want?" He asked.
Mikia rolled her purple eyes and crossed her arms as well. "What do you think!? I want you to tell me what running through that empty head of yours." She said and dropped her arms casually. "So…?"
Damnit…she’s not gonna leave until I explain everything to her.
Kankuro sighed in annoyance. "I’m pretty damn pissed at Tess right now…that’s all." He answered; for the most part truthfully.
Mikia nodded. "Ok…I get that." She answered and re-crossed her arms; she threw Kankuro a skeptical look. "Why are you pissed at her? Is it cuz she’s still aiming for revenge?" She asked.
Kankuro sighed. "Yeah…pretty much." He said. "I just think it’s pointless to go after Dianatu…and I think that Tess should—I really don’t know what she should do. I—"
Mikia held up a hand; stopping Kankuro. "You think she should return to the Hidden Sand, right?" She asked and Kankuro nodded. "Alright…you ARE aware that she’s now a Rogue Ninja, correct? And being Rogue means that you’ve betrayed the village and you’re not allowed to return there." She explained.
Kankuro rolled his dark eyes; all this was repeat information, he already knew all of it. "I know Mikia." He said calmly. "But Tess didn’t actually BETRAY the village. She just ran away and—"
Mikia arched an eyebrow. "AND she killed alotta guards; which means she betrayed the whole Hidden Sand Village." She said and sighed. "Kankuro…I know that you love her, but she’s not gonna be able to return home. You should know that, too."
Thanks a lot Mikia! You sure as hell made me feel better…Damnit!
Kankuro clenched his fist tightly in an attempt to hide his anger. "Mikia…exactly what are you doing here?" He asked; his fists still tightly clenched.
Mikia seemed insulted by that question; she glared angrily. "Where are you getting at? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY!?"
Kankuro returned the glare he had received from his cousin. "If you’re not gonna try to get Tess to come back, then asking for your help was a complete WASTE OF TIME!" He yelled and punched the trunk of the tree he was leaning on. Mikia kept the glare on her face, but she turned around and walked away without a word.
Why the hell IS she here!? She isn’t even helping us bring Tess back…she’s against the whole reason!
Kankuro once again punched the tree trunk, but it was harder than it had been before. This time it drew a rather large amount of blood from his knuckles. Kankuro did nothing but stand in silence for a few more minutes.
"Kankuro…come over here." Temari said. Kankuro turned his head to face his sister; he slowly walked over to her.
"WHAT!?" Kankuro snapped angrily.
Temari glared at him. "Get your ass over to Tessaria! She’s in the midst of crying…go talk to her." She said and placed one of her hands on Kankuro’s shoulder. "Go talk to her…but calm down first."
Kankuro looked down; slightly ashamed in himself. "Sorry Temari…I’m pretty pissed at Mikia…AND Tess." He explained.
Temari sighed heavily and rolled her dark, green eyes. "Ok…I understand why you’re mad at Tess, but what did Mikia do?" She asked.
Kankuro shook his head. "To put it simply: she was a waste of time to bring along." He explained, but saw that Temari wanted a more thorough explanation. "You want me to explain, huh?" He asked.
Temari nodded, "Yeah. So why is Mikia a waste of our time?" She asked.
Kankuro sighed. "The main mission was to get Tessaria to return to the Hidden Sand, right?" He asked and received a nod from Temari. "She acts like she doesn’t want Tess to come back. She’s been saying all this stuff about Tess not being accepted back to the village…since she became a Rogue Ninja."
Holy shit…when it gets right down to it…the reason sounds really childish and immature.
Temari shook her head. "Kankuro that’s—"
Kankuro cut her off with a smirk. "I know, I know." He said. "That’s pathetic."
Temari smirked and nodded. "Yeah." She said. "Pathetic…but I’ve noticed it too. When she saw Tess the first time…I dunno, there was a lot of tension between the two of them."
So Temari’s noticed it too…huh?
Kankuro shrugged, quickly getting off the subject. If he didn’t, he might’ve made false assumptions. "Drop that for now." He said and made a subject change. "Why’s Tess crying?" He asked; one eyebrow raised. "It seems kinda off…what’d you say to her?"
Temari shook her head, as if not wanting to answer. "Nothing. Just go over there and talk to her…she seems like she’s going through a tough time." She said.
Kankuro nodded. "Kay." He replied and slowly walked over to the tree he’d seen Tessaria sitting under. When he got there he was shocked at what he saw…or what he DIDN’T see. "Hell no…what the shit Tess!?" He yelled angrily. Tessaria had disappeared…but this time it was without a trace.
********************************************************************************** After Tessaria’s pathetic crying session, she wiped her eyes and stood up. She looked over at Kankuro and Temari; they seemed to be in deep conversation. Tessaria shook her head and quickly dashed away from her friends.
Oh well…if they don’t support me on this, I don’t NEED their help! I’ll finish the job myself.
Tessaria continued to run through the large woods, in hopes of finding Tiamo or Zani. "Where did they go any way?" She asked herself and stopped running when she approached a lake.
When she got there she arched a black eyebrow; she saw two people laying unconscious on the ground near the lake. She immediately recognized them as Zani and Tiamo. Tessaria smirked at the irony. "What are they doing here any way?"
Suddenly Zani moved her head back and forth; she opened her stunning blue eyes. "Huh…? What happened?"
Tessaria bent down to the girl’s height. "I dunno…you tell me." She said and stood up straight.
Zani placed a small hand on her head and picked herself up from the ground. "Whoa…I don’t remember anything. One second we were flying peacefully on Wayli’s back…then the next, Ti-Ti and I were unconscious." She said and turned to her fainted brother. Zani put her hands on her hips and kicked Tiamo on the side. "HEY! GET YOUR LAZY BUTT UP!"
Wow…Tiamo has it rough. How does he put up with her?
Tessaria shook her head and sighed. "Zani…you’re more of Tiamo’s mom than his sister."
Zani giggled and shrugged. "Someone’s gotta teach him. He’s pathetic…" She said and kicked Tiamo’s side again. "WAKE UP!"
Tiamo opened HIS blue eyes and placed his left hand on his head. "Where am I?" He asked nobody in particular.
Tessaria sighed loudly and crossed her arms. "You’re in the middle of the woods…but that’s all I know." She answered.
Tiamo turned his head to Tessaria and smiled at her sweetly. "Hey Tess, where’d you go?" He asked and pulled himself up.
Zani nodded Tessaria’s way. "Yeah…where DID you go!? Were YOU the one who knocked us out!?" The little girl accused. "How dare you!?" She yelled and lunged at Tessaria.
Tessaria arched an eyebrow and casually dodged Zani’s "attack." "What are you doing?" She asked simply.
When Zani noticed she had missed Tessaria she looked blank. "I’m ATTACKING you! What do you think I’m doing!?"
I think you’re being a dumbass. God Zani…you’re so dumb…
Zani began to lunge at Tessaria again, but Tiamo grabbed the back of his sister’s Yasuke coat. The sudden tug caused Zani to fall on her butt. "Stop it Zani." Tiamo said.
Zani glared angrily and crossed her arms. "Fine!" She exclaimed and looked away from the two older ninja.
Tessaria sighed and shook her head. "Anyway…I was flung somewhere AWAY from you two." She explained, answering the question Tiamo had asked before.
Tiamo nodded. "Did you see anybody else around?" He asked.
Should I mention Kankuro, Temari and Mikia? I’m sure he’ll ask about them. No doubt, Zani will bombard me with millions of questions about Kankuro…
Tessaria shook her head. "No." She stated simply. "I just woke up alone. Where’s Wayli?" She asked, changing the subject quickly.
Tiamo shrugged and Zani stood up. "I dunno…she disappeared shortly after YOU fell unconscious!" Zani said and dusted herself off. "Ti-Ti and I ended up here after Wayli randomly disappeared."
That’s weird…why would I fall unconscious? There isn’t a reason for it…
Tessaria shook her head and started to walk away. When she noticed Zani and Tiamo weren’t following her, she turned her head to them. "Aren’t you guys coming?" She asked.
Zani and Tiamo exchanged looks and Zani ran to catch up to Tessaria. "Where are we going?" The little blonde girl asked happily.
Tiamo was still pretty far away from Tessaria and Zani; Tessaria smirked. "To get our revenge." She answered and continued to walk. "Where’d you THINK we were going?"
Zani scratched the back of her head and giggled oddly. "I was kinda hoping that ice cream would be involved…" She answered childishly.
‘Ice cream?’ What the hell!? She’s such a child…
Tessaria, Zani and Tiamo kept quiet for a long while. The group of three had been walking for about 45 minutes, and they had JUST found an exit. None of them knew where they were going to end up…so they remained on guard at all times.
