A Hiei/YYH Series-Meeting the Crew

[Blythe's P.O.V.]
"Hiei," Blythe said shakily, "Did my brother make it?" Hiei looked down at the ground and shook his head slowly. "No, Blythe. He didn't make it." Blythe shook as sadness and disbelief consumed her. "No, no, it can't be. No, he can't be-he can't be gone," she almost whimpered but whimpers turned to growls as her energy flared around her, rage taking over. She punched a near-by tree, splintering completely. She felt her energy race through her, and for once she didn't try to control it. "Blythe, calm down," Hiei said firmly but she hadn't heard him as she started to change to her demon form. Her hair became streaked with blue and white and silver ears and tail came into view. Her eyes had turned a bright, angry red and the tattoo of a tiger swirled around her left arm and over her shoulder blade. She pointed her hand at a large mountain side, aiming a large blast at it when Hiei appeared infront of her. She forced her energy down, not wanting to hurt him and slowly, pulled the rest of her under control. She shifted back into her regular form and suddenly felt dizzy. For the second time, Hiei caught her in his arms and he was again the last thing she heard. "I know how it feels to lose someone important."
[Hiei's P.O.V.]
Blythe had drained herself and Hiei sighed as he picked her up fully to carry her back to the palace. He groaned inwardly as he thought of what the idiots would say if he walked in with Blythe in his arms. He jumped up to Blythe's window and quickly found it was locked. He growled as he looked around and found a large near-by tree. He jumped into it and situated himself with his back against the trunk and Blythe was in his lap. She sighed softly in her sleep and shifted so her arms were around his waist.Like a lover. He growled and pushed the thought out of his head. He wouldn't let himself be weak enough to allow that to happen. He stared down at her shivering. Go figure, the only thing that wasn't in the hybrid's blood was ice demon, so cold got to her due to her fire demon blood. He sighed and wrapped his arms around her, knowing cold would drain her and with time, kill her. That's the only reason, he thought to himself. You're lying to yourself. You know you crave to know what it would be like to have a mate, Another voice reasoned. He growled as she shifted again and nestled her head under his chin. Love is weak and pointless. It doesn't exist. He watched her sleep peacefully for the next few hours while deep in thought.
[Blythe's P.O.V.]
Blythe came awake to a very warm, something- she had no idea what- and a cool breeze. She opened her eyes and froze. She was in a tree; A very Tall tree. She clung to the warm thing, that she soon figured out was Hiei, for dear life. "Hn, don't tell me you're afraid of heights, Onna," he said tauntingly. "No, I'm afraid of Falling from heights," she said, eyeing the ground wearily. She looked up towards Hiei and froze. Their lips were barely and inch apart. She stared at them for a long moment, wondering what he tasted like and slowly looked up to meet his eyes. Her breath caught in her throat as his crimson eyes stared back at her curiously. "What?" he said, looking almost surprised that it didn't come out as cold as he'd expected. "Your eyes," she started breathlessly, "They are amazing." Hiei looked away blushing heavily. He looked back down at her, their lips practically a hair apart when a large crash came from somewhere in the forest. Peanut ran past the tree with three or four men in tow with guns and two tanks that brought up the back. "Who is it this time, Peanut?" Blythe shouted over the loud racket from the tanks. "Fuckin' army. Fire in the hole!" she shouted back and threw what seemed like sixty grenades. "Oh, shi-" a huge explosion cut Blythe off and shook the entire forest. When the dust cleared Blythe opened her eyes to find she was flat on her back with Hiei on top of her. He was practically straddling her waist when Peanut came up. "Whoa! Damn! Blythe! Restrain yourself! No public shows, remember?!" she said covering her eyes. Hiei growled and got off, starting after Peanut, no doubt with the intent of tearing her limb from limb. Blythe jumped up as Peanut backed away from Hiei nervously while glancing at Blythe. In the blink of an eye, Blythe was directly behind Hiei, her sword at his throat. He froze and turned to her. "What the hell are you doing?" he growled and Blythe didn't even flinch. "No one messes with Peanut. I could care less if you tore the rest of them to shreds, that's Peanut's job to protect them, but you won't lay a finger on Peanut," she said darkly. Hiei growled again and disappeared, no doubt to go back to the palace. 'I thought you didn't have any other allies.' he said in her mind. 'I don't. Peanut is my sister.'
