Dear Diary,

Hmm, well I’ve only written in here three times since Garret has given it to me so I figured I should write some more. Dwayne is out the whole day to change one of the regulations. I don’t know what it’s about, but I suppose it’s about time I learn what the regulations are. It would be helpful considering I’m a queen. Dwayne says he doesn’t want me to do anything until the babies are born.

We have decided on names, finally. Evelyn hasn’t changed since December, but we added a middle name to it to make it Evelyn Macy. Dwayne and I can’t seem to figure out what to name our boy, though. We’ve finally narrowed it down to Elliot Harlow and Ashton Gerald. I told Dwayne it’s up to him because I like them both equally. I actually prefer Ashton Gerald, but I sort of chose Evelyn’s name, so I’ll let Dwayne pick. I’m sure whatever he picks will be just as well.

Mother is outraged that I’m not naming it after her. She says it’s unjustified, but I never really cared what she said anyway. I know it’s a horrible thing to say, but she’s never been like a true mother to me, so why should I be a true daughter? I sense that Dwayne’s parents are just as mad, but they haven’t said anything about it.

The doctor said that the babies are very mature considering it’s only been eight months and that the due date is April fifteenth. Dwayne promised me that after this today he won’t leave my side, which I guess he’s trying to be comforting. To tell you the truth though, it’s not. It reminds me of the time I was kidnapped.

Oh Garret. I haven’t heard from him since Christmas, but overall I bet he’s okay. I can’t help but wonder about his girlfriend Sheena. I wonder what she’s like, but I suppose it’s not of my business. I think about him sometimes which gets Dwayne tense. I just miss him as a friend, you know? I guess you don’t because you’re a diary.

Anyways, moving on, yesterday Dwayne and I spent the whole entire day at the movie theatre. We just watched movie after movie. Then we went up to our room to watch another movie in the DVD player. I’ve taught him how to use it and he’s been in love with DVDs now. I can’t blame him. He grew up without them, he has every right to be excited by them.

I don’t go out of the house much, considering I’m to lazy to get up unless it’s to go to the bathroom. Besides, then I’d have to get out of my pajamas and it’s too hard to change clothes now a days. No matter how much I hate being pregnant, I couldn’t be happier. This is the only chance I’ll get to be pregnant, so I might as well live it up, you know?

Hmm, well I think I’m done writing for now. I wrote quite a lot. I see now why Garret gave this to me. Because even though I can’t talk to him, at least I can tell somebody (or something) how I feel.’

“What are you doing?” Dwayne asked.

I had placed my dairy in it’s spot and walked over to the couch. He interrupted my thoughts when he walked in.

“Nothing.” I answered truthfully. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that. “How was your day?”

“Great. The regulation was changed easily and nobody said anything about it. People probably weren’t happy with it, but whether they like it or not, there are going to be some major changes.”

“Like what?”

He took off his tux coat and threw it onto the bed then joined me on the couch.

“Hmm, well there is a regulation saying you can kidnap somebody if you have a liable reason. That one’s defiantly going to be edited. Also there’s one that basally states you can kill up to twenty cows a month for blood per vampire, so that one is going to be changed.” He kept rambling and I could tell he was excited about all of it.

I just scratched his back with one of my hands and listened to him. I didn’t have the energy to actually commit to the conversation, or to try and understand what any of it meant. Occasionally I nodded to let him know I was still listening.

“Like I said, there are going to be some major changes.” He finished.

“It sounds like it.” I said tiredly.

“Do you want to go to bed?” He asked referring to my tired tone.

“No, I want to talk to you. I haven’t seen you all day.” I said feeling for my necklace. I held the heart softly and Dwayne put his hand over mine. With his thumb he massaged my hand which made me blush slightly. I don’t know why, but I gave up trying to understand my emotions a few months ago.

“What have you done all day?” Dwayne asked.

“Nothing. I mostly just watched TV, read, and thought about stuff.”

“Thought about what?” I looked down to my stomach. “Are you scared?” He asked. I drew my hand away from his and looked down towards the ground.

“Well, yeah. Wouldn’t you be?” I asked.

“I guess so.” He said uncomfortably.

“Sorry to bother you with this, but I-I just want everything to go right, but that’s going to be hard considering all the stuff that could go wrong. Plus, turning into a vampire, that’s going to, well, hurt even more, I guess.”

“Keaira, nothing will go wrong, I promise. And we’ll have you on all the best medication so nothing will hurt too much. Trust, me okay.” He said grabbing my hand again with both of his,

“Okay. I’ll trust you.”
