"Augh, I don't get it," Ichigo said. I smirked at him. "You don't get anything," I pointed out. He smacked me in the face with a pillow. "I'm with Eyebrows. I don’t get it either," Renji agreed, kicking Ichigo.
"Maybe I didn't explain it well enough," Orihime said worried. "No, Orihime, you explained it just fine. I understood it," I said. *Top of the Class* Tatsuki coughed. I laughed. I turned around and looked at a wrestling Ichigo and Renji.
"All right guys. It is basically Spin the bottle/ truth or dare with a hint or 7 minutes in heaven," I said. "I got that. How do you play?" Renji said. Ichigo laughed. "You didn't understand that much either," he said.
"Yes I did!"
"No you didn't Renji, you're an idiot."
"I'm an idiot? What do you think you are then?"
"Brillant!"
"Ha, if that is brilliant, then I hate to see what stupid is."
"Boys, that's enough. Kei, why don't you start the game," I suggested. He nodded. "Sure, Say. So I spin the bottle to see who I ask?" Keigo asked. I nodded. "Yeah, I made the rule because everyone always dares Ichigo and Sayo to do stupid things. This way it is fair," Orihime said. I looked at her. "That's not fair. One time I dared you to make me a normal meal!" I said. She frowned. "But you didn’t like your food," she reminded. "Hime, fish and jam is far from normal," I reminded. She laughed. "Maybe," she agreed.
Rukia bursted through the door. Renji's eyes got huge and he squeezed my hand. "What's wrong with you?" I asked him. Renji turned to say something, but Ichigo punched him in the face. "Let go of her," he commanded. Renji turned and looked at me. "Who is that?" he asked. I looked at him. "That's my cousin," I said. Rukia nodded. "Sayuri, Chad, we need to talk," she said. I nodded.
"About what?" Tatsuki asked. Rukia rubbed the back of her neck. "Oh, it's Daichi's birthday soon," she said. Renji stood up. "No, it's not. It's not his birthday," he said. I looked at Rukia. "All right, fine. Her side of the family is having a family reunion, and we have to figure out a way to trick Daichi into going," I covered. Chad looked at me.
"But he's Daichi's best friend. Shouldn't he come along too?" he asked. I closed my eyes. I forgot that I didn't tell Chad what was going on. "Woah, you are best friends with Daichi!" Tatsuki yelled. "Uh, yeah," he said Tatsuki jumped next to him and gripped on. "That is so cool!" she said. Renji smiled. "Oh, you are the girl that has a crush on Daichi," he said. Ichigo laughed. "That's Tatsuki all right," he said. "Shut it eyebrows!" she yelled. I looked at Rukia. "Let's go," I said.
We got outside. Rukia turned to Chad. "Don't let anyone come throught those doors. I don't care who it is. This is a life or death situation," she warned. Chad nodded.
"Sayo, we need to move. I have to tell you something," she said. We ran over to a tree and sat down. She looked worried. "Rukia, calm down. Take deep breaths," I said. She held her breath and looked at me. "That boy, do you remember anything about him?" she asked. I laughed. "Renji? I know a lot about him. Why, are you interested?" I joked. On the inside, I felt jealous. "Sayo, not now. Listen, do you have any other memories of him, ones that don't seem to fit?" she asked. I thought about it.
"Yeah, I have this memory of running through these streets of an old town. I was about 5 or 6 and I was with, I was with you," I said stunned. She nodded. "Yes, I remember that day. That was the day we met Renji. You two clicked instantly. You were heading our little band of bandits with Renji," she said. I thought somemore. "That's all I really remember," I confessed. She nodded.
"Sayo, I can't tell you much. I am forbidden from saying to much," she said. I looked at her. "What are you taliking about, Rukia?" I asked. She smiled. "I haven't seen you this worried about me in a while," she said. I scowled at her. "Ha, yeah, you gave me that look a lot too," she siad. I pinched the bridge of my nose. "And now you are stressed out with me not answering your questions and that I am getting a good laugh out of it," she said. I peaked out at her. "How do you know all of that? We just met a few months ago," I said. She sighed. "Sayo, we have known each other for a long time," she said.
I rolled my eyes. "Ha, and next thing you are going to say is that we have known each other for hundreds of years as a matter of fact. And that you knew it was me as soon as you saw me," I said. She didn't say anything. "No way," I said. She laughed. "You always knew what I was thinking," she said. I flopped out on the ground. "What is going on Rukia?" I asked.
"Renji is an old friend of the both of us. He is actually… well he can tell you that part. I wasn't sure why he was here, nut Kisuke informed me that Renji comes every year or so to check in on yo uto make sure that you are doing all right. But now he has seen me, and he will know that I am not a soul reaper anymore. He will have to report it to Byakuya," she said. I nodded. "Your brother," I said. "Your friend," she said. I sighed.
"So, you are saying that I was part of the soul society and I had to leave. So what happens after that?" I asked. She sighed. "It was a complicated process. Kisuke set it up. I don't know what exactly happened, but the leader of the Gotei 13 formed this plan," she started. "Ol' Man Yama," I said. She nodded. "He thought that you were in danger, so he formed this plan to take your soul, which is what we are, and have you reincarnated, sort of. So when you die, your spirit goes to another person. They like give birth to you, but you are still you. It's complicated," she said. I nodded. "And disgusting," I added. She nodded. "But, Daichi always follows you. That was one term to the agreement," she said. I nodded.
"So, these dreams that I have, what are they?" I asked. She shrugged. "I can only guess that they are memories," she said. I sighed. "You guess?" I asked. She nodded. "Yes, this is the first time that anyone has talked to you about this. We were forbidden from telling you too much. Your memories were supressed when you were put into your first body," she said. I nodded.
"So, what is this danger that you were talking about?" I asked. She stood up and kicked me. "What are you talking about! Weren't you listening to a single thing that I said! All of your memories are coming back, you have little spies looking after you, and your powers are returning for the first time. It means that the Soul Society needs you back," she said. I heald my breath. "The people want me back, or the soul society is saying that I need to come back?" I asked. "You wee floating around and fighting giant monsters, but yet you find it hard to believe that our spirit world could not say that you were needed back?" she asked.
"When the world starts talking to me, literally, I start to draw the line there," I said standing up. "What are you doing?" she asked. I sighed. "Renji about blew a gasket when he saw you. He's probably going crazy now, and I can't let him be stressing out that much," I said. She nodded. "Yeah, he tends to break things when he gets stressed and angry," she said. I laughed. "Yeah, I've learned that one the hard way," I said.
We got to the door. Chad had walked inside ahead of us. "Look, what if I give you my powers, or even half?" I suggested. She shook her head. "You're too strong. You're the strongest person in the whole Soul Society. And, no offense, you're powers are a little wacky. I could very likely die if we tried that. Plus, you need to stay strong," she siad. I nodded. "I just wish that I could help," I said. She stepped inside. "That's the best friend I used to know," she said. I rushed in after her.
"Best friend? What are you talking about?" I asked. She laughed. "I'm not nice enough to rush out of my way and help someone that I don't even like. Of course we are best friends," she said. I laughed. "Okay, if you say so," I said.
