You walked into your room and Lindsey practically jumped on you and hugged you.
"Whoa girly what's this about"You said laughing.
"I wanted to thank you again for hooking me and josh up!"She screamed.
"Haha Lindsey it's no problem you are my best friend after all"You said getting up off the ground.
"Yeah our date was perfect!"She said with the biggest smile.
Your heart was breaking,But you remembered what your mom said and you forced a smile.
"Tell me all about it"You said fake smiling.
"Well we went to see Shutter"She said smiling.
You nodded for her to go on.
"He held me the whole time through the movie and held my hand when I got really scared,Our hands go perfectly together!"She said smiling.
I smiled and nodded.
"We even had the theater all to ourselves!"She squealed.
"Haha sweetness!"You continued to fake smile.
"Then....We kissed"She said cheeks getting red.
"OMG HOW CUTE!"You pretended to get excited,But you could feel your ears turn red from anger.
"I know when i'm with him it feels so right Star,I think i'm in love"She said seriously.
"Thats wonderful Linds!"I said still pretending.
"Yeah well i'm going to take a shower,See ya Star"She said walking into the bathroom.
Of course I feel absolutely horrible.For 2 obvious reasons.OneI did this to myself.He could've been mine but no I had to be a good friend and put her feelings before mine.When am I gonna toughen up and stand up for what I want! But then again I can't be mad at her.After all this is my fault.Although I guess I don't like to blame myself.She did like him before I even knew who he was.Plus mom's right.So I might as well be happy for them while it lasts.Then the 2nd reason i'm such a hypocrite! Lindsey is my best friend I should be able to talk to her about this sort of stuff.I keep pretending and faking.I'm such a good liar.I don't even like it either.Then again if I told Lindsey she would get so angry with me.She wouldn't want to beyour friend or talk to me ever again.With all these thoughts running throughyour mindyou fell asleep still worrying what to do.That nightyou had a some what good dream where Lindsey moved up here.The only problem is her and Josh got married.You woke up the next morning before Lindsey surprisingly andyou decided to take a walk to clear your head.So I got up and put some running pants on with a tank top and flipflops.I turned on my Ipod to My Immortal by Evanescence it was so soothing and helped me.I was doing quite well with clearing my mind until I ran into something.I fell to the hard ground knocking my Ipod out of my hands.I layed there for a minute not really caring.
"Omg Star i'm sooo sorry are you ok!?"The familiar voice came haunting you.
"Yeah Josh i'm fine"I said ignoring his helping hand and getting up to walk away.
"Star are you ok,You've been acting different since your friends been up here"Josh said.
"Yeah i'm fabulous"You said walking off,Josh grabbed your arm.
You turned around giving him an evil look"What do you want Josh!"You said angrily.
"We need to talk"He said.
"WE don't have to do anything together"You spat.
"What is your problem i've been nothing but nice to you Star!"He spat back.
"Your my problem ok,So just leave me alone!"You said yanking your arm away from him and running.
To your luck you were wearing flipflops and you fell in a hole and twisted your ankle.That was nothing compared to the pain in your chest.You just sat there crying.You threw your Ipod not even caring and just sat there.
"Ooof"You heard someone say.
Josh came over and bent down infront of you.
"I believe this is yours"He handed you your Ipod.
"I told you to leave me alone Josh"You said hiding your face.
"Yeah but now you have no choice but to let me help you"He said smirking.
"Yeah right I'd rather sit here and wait then to let you help me!"You spat.
He picked me you up bridal style anyways.
"Let me down!"You said attempting to get down.
"I don't think so"He said.
He carried you to the park and sat you down on a bench then sat down beside you.
"Look we really need to talk Star"He said.
"Theres nothing to talk about Josh"I said looking away.
"Starla Aarons you know well as I do that there is"He grabbed my face and turned it so I was looking straight at him.
I began to cry even more.He took me and held me.
"Star tell me whats wrong please"He begged.
"Josh I can't it's too complicated"You said crying.
"I will understand Star"He said.
"No you wouldn't,Plus I did it to myself,Don't worry about it"You said.
"Star how can you tell me not to worry your my best friend"He said looking at me.
You began to cry more.
"Star please tell me!"He yelled.
"I can't Josh!"I got up and limped away.
~JOSH'S P.O.V.~
You walked home worried to death about Star.I don't get it what is wrong with her.Why won't she tell me.She tells me everything.I said to myself.
"It's because she likes you retard"Connor said walking in.
"Excuse me?"You said to him.
"She obviously likes you"He said sitting on my bed.
"No way she doesn't like me"You said.
"You didn't see the way she looked at you and Lindsey when you guys kissed,You don't see the way she looks at you guys when your together,You didn't see the way she looked when she heard you guys were spending the day together without her"Connor said seriously.
"What do you mean Connor?"You asked.
"She looked hurt everytime"Connor said.
"She doesn't like me,She never told me"You said.
"Maybe that's cause she didn't like you until now"Connor said.
"Then why did she set me up with Lindsey?"You asked.
"It's her best friend,Of course she wasn't gonna say no"Connor said.
"Well how do you know so much about girls Connor?"You asked.
"I'm a ladies man"Connor smirked.
"Yeah sure!"You laughed.
"Boys!"Mom knocked on the door.
"Yeah!?"We said.
She opened the door.
"Well your father and I are going somewhere for the night and our darling neighbors the Aarons said you could stay with them"She smiled.
"Oh"You said.
"YAY!"Connor yelled.
"Yeah so get your stuff packed"She said leaving.
Well this is just great I thought to myself.What am I gonna do about Lindsey and Starla? This is so hard.I liked Star but I like Lindsey now and I can't just break up with her.God why are girls so confusing!
