David's POV

I'm almost afraid to let go orf her right now, I'm afraid she's going to literally fall apart in to tiny pieces. This is the worst thing that could poosibly happen to her. I mean, she was so close to Jerry even though they didn't see each other that often but they kept in touch as much as possible from my understanding. Wow, this I literally can't say 'I know how you feel' because I don't know how it feels to lose a sibling. Man...I really don't know what to say to her.

"Why don't you get dressed and I'll make you coffee." I whisper to her.. my hand still stroking her damp hair.

She pulls away from me and nods her head, not saying a thing, wiping the tears away frok her eyes. I got up and left the room to make her coffee.

Third POV

Charlie feels like shit. She's feels as though someone to hald her heart and ripped it out of her and left the other half to suffer and bleed. She feels the pain, too. Not just emotionally but literally, she felt it. She feels that ache spread through ehr body as she slipped on gray sweats and a long sleeved blue Abracrombie shirt. She walks back into the bathroom and wet a washcloth, rubbing the smeared make up off her face. She proceeds to just look at her self in the mirror. Guess Dane Cook was right, sometimes you look at your self when you cry.

Charlie sighs and walks out of her room and into the living room, plopping on the couch, hugging her knees, resting her head on them. David walks over and sets the coffee on the coffee table and sits down next to her. It's silent; both couldn't say anything. Charlie picks up the coffee mugs and takes a sip and lets the hot liquid run down ehr throat. She smiles, taking in the taste. David still knows how she likes her coffee.

"You're smiling." he comments, breaking the silence.

"because you still remember how I like my coffee." she answers, looking at him.

David smiles back at her, putting his arm around her and pulling her to him, "Kind of hard to forget when you had me get you coffee everyday before school. It's imprinted into my brain." he says, looking at her.

A beeping sound pierced the air and Charlie looks at the coffee table at her phone. She reaches and grabs it, opening it. A text from her mom.

"Funeral is on Friday. I might miss your next performance since I plan on staying there a week." she says to David.

She looks at him her hazel eyes still watery, "I'm sorry." she apologizes.

David shakes his head, "Don't be sorry. You never ahve to apologize to me." he states, kissing her forehead and hugging her.

Charlie hugs back, a few more tears rolling down her face, but she starts to smile glad that he best friend is here with her. She knows he'll never leave her..ever.

[sorry its short, but I'll be sure to update very soon.]
