I entered the subway and went to stand in the corner. I pulled the hood up on my black hoodie and put the earphones of my iPod on. I listened to the music as I watched some citizens file into the subway. An old man sat down on a seat and pulled out a newspaper to read. A teenager was rapping while the other gave him a beat nodding along with it. A business man came in glancing at his watch. And finally the doors closed behind a good looking man with black hair.
He walked closer and stood beside me. I pulled my hood around my face tighter. I didn’t want him to see that I was blushing. My heart fluttered and tried to fly out of my chest. I closed my eyes and held on to a handle as the subway started to take off.
I swiftly took a glance at him and I saw that he was watching me. I looked away quickly. “Hey man what are you listening to?” he asked trying to make polite conversation. He thought I was a boy, but only because he couldn’t see me under my sweatshirt.
I held out my iPod and he saw I was listening to a song by Girugamesh. He smiled. “I like that band. They’re pretty good but not as great as Alice Nine,” he commented. I scrolled through my playlist and picked out a song by them and showed him. His smile widened.
The door opened from the front of the sub-car and three masked men came in with their guns flashing. I pressed myself against the wall and hugged myself tightly. I shook with fear when they fired off a shot at the ceiling.
“Alright listen up! Give us all your money and no one will get hurt,” he said and pointed the gun at the old man that was reading the newspaper. He shook with fear and slowly pulled out his wallet. The man rudely snatched in and turned his gun to the business man.
The guy next to me moved in front of me so they wouldn’t be able to see me. He pressed himself against me and took my hand squeezing it. The robbers moved on to the teenagers and then slowly came over to the man in front of me. It was like it was in slow motion as I watched him come closer and closer to me.
“And you,” the robber said pointing the gun at him. He handed him his wallet and the man looked through it. “Nice…we hit the jackpot,” he said and looked at my protector smiling. Then it faded.
“What’re you hiding?” he asked and pushed him aside to find me pressed against the wall. “Cough up some money,” he said pointing the gun at me.
TORA’S POV
I watched at he pointed the gun at the kid. “I-I don’t have a-any money,” he stuttered. The robber pulled him off the wall and his hood fell. He was a girl with long pretty brown hair and beautiful green eyes. I didn’t realize that she was a girl because of that large sweatshirt.
“Awww look what we have here fellas it’s a pretty girl,” the robber said to his buddies who were guarding the door. “What’s your name darling,” he said with a husky voice while still holding the gun up to her.
“J-Jade,” she answered her face going pale. Anger rushed through me as I watched them rip her sweater off. She was really skinny and curvy. Her sweater did a good job hiding her feminine figure.
YOUR POV
He clutched my wrist tightly after they ripped my sweater off. “Please let go…y-you can have my iPod if you want,” I said holding out my favorite possession. He snatched in from my hand greedily.
“Did you hear that guys? She wants me to let her go,” he said smiling at me. “Since she doesn’t have the money…why don’t we take what we want out of her.”
I suddenly felt sick and I was getting dizzy. I couldn’t stop my knees from shaking. I looked at my protector with frightened eyes.
“No,” I heard him say angrily. The robber turned to him looking pissed.
“What did you say?” he asked the man.
“You heard me. I said no,” my protector repeated. A small amount of relief rushed through me only it was immediately drowned out by fear.
“Protecting your little girlfriend? Maybe you can watch,” he said and threw me on the ground. I hit it hard and it knocked the breath out of me. I saw the two teenagers watch then they looked at each other.
The robber placed his dirty hand on my shirt and I closed my eyes. His hand jerked and I heard a gunshot and opened my eyes. My protector had tackled him and the two teenagers took the other men with guns. I propped myself up on my elbows and watched as they beat up the robbers.
When it was over my protector held out his hand for me to take. I did and he pulled me up. “Thank you um…”
“Tora”
“Thank you, Tora,” I replied shyly and he smiled. I told the teenagers my thanks also.
“Why did you guys help me out?” Tora asked them.
“You’re Tora from Alice Nine. We couldn’t let our favorite band lose their guitarist,” one of them replied while the other one nodded. My eyes widened in shock.
“Y-you’re from Alice Nine, The Alice Nine?” I stammered and Tora blushed and rubbed the back of his head.
“Yeah, um…you want to come with me? I’m going to go see the guys you three can meet them if you want,” he said blushing.
“Sure!” the teenagers said and I just nodded eagerly.
After I met the band Tora had asked me out on a date and we have dated ever since.
