You Shine Brighter Than Anyone [Joe Jonas]

Joe’s POV

I was upstairs unpacking my stuff when I heard Frankie yell, “MADDIE!” Maddie, I stood up and ran out in the hall to see that Kevin and Nick heard it to we both looked at each other and ran down the stairs and running into the kitchen screaming, “MADDIE” when she came into view. All three of us engulfing her into a hug I felt her hug up back.

It was a nice moment until I heard and unfamiliar laughter. I looked up intending to glare at someone one to have my jaw drop to the floor. Standing there in my kitchen laughing at us was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.

Kevin was the first of us to snap out of it and talk to her, “Hi, I’m Kevin and that’s Nick and Joe,” when I heard my name I waved to see her wave back, “So do you know Maddie or something?”

After he said that the girl spoke with the most appealing voice, “Yeah, we’ve been friends since kindergarten.” And then she and Maddie started laugh which I knew confused us all. Nick was the one to ask, “Um… did we miss something??”

Maddie cut in right after her fit of laughter, “No, Nick just a very funny memory that’s all.” I was about to question what this memory was when the girl cut in, “Oh, I’m Artemis but you can call me Arte”

I knew my face was twisted up in confusion which is why I asked like the idiot I am, “Hey isn’t that the name of some Goddess?” it only made me feel worse when Kevin said to me, “Of course it is you dummy now be nice”. Then out of no were Arte and Maddie were on the floor laughing. It was at the point that I noticed that Arte really did deserve that name. She wasn’t just beautiful she was Goddess like.

Her chocolate brown eyes were filled with happiness and some sparkle that could make you lose yourself in them, and I could tell she was unique because her brown hair had random streaks of blue, pink and purple. Normally I hated this look on girls, but not on her. In fact I think it added to her even more.

After there fit of laughter ended Arte invited us all over to her home for dinner. Just thinking about spending more time with her gave me butterflies. Wait why am I getting butterflies towards someone I have known for less then an hour? I could deliberate anymore because while walking up to her home I spot something that made my eyes bulge.

“Whoa, look at that” the words escaped my mouth before I could stop them. But in her drive way was a freakin Porsche and to be more exact a 911 Turbo convertible Porsche. But Arte merely turned around and said, “You guys like my car??”

Her car…her car. WOW, I knew people had money in the town but not that much. That car cost at least 200 grand. I wonder what her house will look like.

I didn’t know I was still staring until I felt someone grasp my arm and pull me inside. I was then dragged into the house to meet who I think was Artemis’s mom. Who I have to say looked like her daughter. Arte introduced us but since my attention was on Arte I knew she was bored, and I gladly agreed to follow her when she offered she hangout in her basement.

Seeing her basement I about had a heart attack, she had an indoor pool, an arcade, and a movie theater! Now my family had these things to but not to this extent. We had a pool…outside, and we had a arcade mad of board games, probably the only thing really similar that we had was the movie theater. Or so I thought, until she pulled out every game system known to man kind! I was so going to move here!

We ended up playing Mario Kart on the Wii, I thought since I rocked at this game I would cream her. No chance that girl has got skill! Dinner was even more fun when Maddie and Arte had a contest that resulted in them both being surrounded my corn.

When my parents first told me I’d be moving I wasn’t happy, but know that I have met Arte I think I will actually enjoy myself here.

Little did I know was that I would enjoy myself more than I would have ever thought!
