Rei Kyumura was seeing a very nice dream, she could have just lied there on her waterbed for eternity, but as we know, every good thing comes to an end. Someone was blowing in her ear.
She opened her other eye to see who the idiot was, and saw her cousin's unnaturally shaped face.

"Hiroto, what the hell are you doing?" she asked, making him stop and smile widely.
"There is a tribe of indians that believe, the only way to wake up a person is to blow in their ear, so their spirits won't get away", Hiroto explained. "I'm here to take you to school, so let's go!"

Rei, or Ruy, as she prefers to be called, groaned. She threw her pillow at the demented squirrel and screamed.

"GET AWAY FROM MY ROOM RIGHT NOW, YOU PERV!"

~~*~~

Ryu isn't much of a morning person, but after she gets past that "1'll kill u all", phase, at about 1 pm, she is really a nice, social, friendly person.
But there are few things she absolutely despises. And those make her want to rip off the heads of her parents.
One, her cousin. Hiroto, Hiro-Pon, PonPon, Mr Annoy-The-Hell-Out-Of-Other. He was overly happy, cheerful and just simply annoying. He was a morning person. And watched Discovery Channel WAY too much.
Two, her cousin's friends. Tora, Saga and Shou. They were the worst. They hated her, she hated them. Never got along. Always fighting.
And... Well, the list really goes on and on.

Few things that she does like. School, which takes her mind off of everything else. She was smart, at the top of her class. She was going to be a lawyer or something else boring.
And her friend, Nao. Well, he's the only sane one besides Ruy in the whole school. Both responsible, smart, and "normal".

But, even though Ruy liked school, she hated one teacher. All the other teachers were alright, but this one... Boring.

The teacher was babbling on and on about something, and no one had any idea what it was that she said. Ruy rested her head on her desk, as did half of the class. The other half was doing something else like talk to their friends, drawing, or bullying others.
Ruy was being bullied at the moment too. Shou sat behind her and kept throwing pieces of eraser at her. As fun as that was...

"Could you please stop doing that?" Ruy politely asked, turning around to face the slime.
"Stop doing what?" Shou grinned and threw another piece, hitting her straight between the eyes.

Ruy sighed greatly and turned back, but when she felt yet another piece hit her head, she hit her head on the desk - hard.

'I hate my life...'

The teacher tapped the chalc board with a pen. This was a sign for everyone to wake up. She was writing something on it.

Everyone waited in horror. Usually this is how they got to know about exams. And in this class, exams weren't a good thing because no one was awake enough to actually learn something. It always meant a lot of independant studying.

'Oh no!' Ruy gasped, covering her mouth with her other hand, while the other grasped Nao's under the desk.

"Don't worry, Ruy, I am sure we get to choose our own pairs."
Ruy winced. Nao didn't sound too convincing, what with the shaking hand and shuttering voice.
"I am so going to die if... If..." the girl said, not being able to finish. Instead, she looked over at the four boys. If she was to be paired with one of them, she would certainly die.
"It will be alright..."
"Well it's easy for you to say", Ruy whispered to her only friend, "you don't have four assasins after you."

The teacher opened her mouth to say something with her monotone voice. "I will now write your pairs and subjects on the board. After you have found out who you will be working with, you may leave. The due time is in two weeks, and I want 100 page essay."

"100 pages?!" Ruy winced. When ever she got nervous or scared, her voice went high-pitched. "Oh no!" She just read her name from the board. And beside it there read... Shou Kohara.

Ruy looked slowly behind her. Shou was choking on a pocky that Hiroto had forced him to eat because obviously it takes away the shock.

~~*~~

Hiroto's school day had ended a hour before the rest of the class, because he decided to skip with Saga and go whatever they do when they are alone. Use your imagination.
And Nao had some club thing after school, leaving Ruy walk alone home without any company. And without protection too.

She started to fear when she heard two boys yelling behind her. They were moving by skateboards, she could hear that. Ruy didn't bother looking, she knew who they were. Tora and Shou.
In a moment they reached her and Tora grabbed her bag, throwing it on the ground. Both of them laughed and carried on.

Ruy however, stopped walking. Without a word, she picked up her bag, cleaned most of the dirt and continued walking. A year ago in a situation she would have cried, but not anymore. She had cried enough for one lifetime. She was all out of tears to cry.

~~*~~

"How was your day?" Ruy's mother asked, giving her a warm smile when she placed a cup of tea in front of the girl.
"Good", Ruy answered with a fake smile, "we started a project. We need to write a 100 page essay about stars."
"That is nice, Rei. Do you need a telescope? Your brother's old telescope is still in the closet, I think."
Ruy's parents were the only ones that called her by her real name. Rei. She hated the name... "Sure. I'm going to my room to do my homework."
"Alright honey. Dinner's at five. Study hard."

Ruy's mother was a happy woman. She didn't think about sad things, because she had a very positive attitude to everything. She believed that life was too short to be cried over. In a way, Ruy admired her mother because of that.
But Ruy's father was different. He was a serious business man and never showed his happiness. Ruy was more like him, but she didn't really know him. She saw him about once a month, when ever he decided to come home early from the office.
Also, Ruy had one older brother. He was already living on his own and worked at their father's company, even though he was exactly like his mother, happy and full of life and optimistic thoughts.

Ruy closed the door to her room and sat down by the desk. Instead of taking out her schook books, she took her diary. It was really pretty, yellow and fluffy, and it had a picture of Pooh Bear on the cover. She opened it on the right page and started to write. It wasn't really the real diary writing, because Ruy just wrote there whenever she was feeling like it. It was her way of letting out all the emotions she felt. Like now she was feeling angry, scared, nervous and tired of herself.
No, she wasn't one of those depressed teenagers that cut and walk around being all angst. No, she knew she didn't have a reason to be like that. She had a relatively good life and a great future ahead of her. It was just the bullying, loneliness that made her feel uneasy.
And she had a feeling that these unhappy feelings won't be going away any time soon.

Tora threw a coke to Hiroto, who caught it easily without breaking the staring contest with the TV.

"You know Pon, someday you're gonna have to get glasses", Shou said and caught his own coke.
Hiroto didn't reply, just looked at the show he was watching with a little bit of drool coming out from his mouth. When ever he was watching TV, he forgot about the real world.
"I don't think he can hear us..." Tora said and Shou laughed, throwing an empty can on Hiroto's head, but the poor squirrel didn't even notice.

"Where's Saga, by the way?"
"I don't know", Shou answered to Tora's guestion. "Probably doing homework. You know how his parents are if he doesn't do well in school."
"Right..."
Shou got up from the couch, grabbing his books. "Which reminds me, we should do some work too. I mean, graduation isn't too far away and we are so not gonna graduate at this rate."

Saga barched into the room, million books in his arms. "Shou, watch it, you're starting to sound like my mom."
Tora grinned and looked at Shou. "Well, Shou has a motherly side after all. Someday, you'll be a good wife to someone."
Shou attacked the guitarist, and soon Saga joined the fight.

~~*~~

The next day, when Ruy was walking to school, she hummed a song she loved. She didn't know what song it was, she just liked the tune in it.
The boog bag she was carrying was new, she had went shopping with her mother last night, and bought new supplies for school. She even got a new laptop. In two weeks, it will be her birthday, and her mother always bought her a lot of stuff and treated her like a princess. Before Ruy's mother found out she was pregnant with her second child, she thought she couldn't have anymore children. And she wanted nothing more than a little girl. That is why she considered Ruy's existance as a miracle.

Ruy never noticed the person walking beside her.
"What's that song?" the person asked curiously.
She didn't look, but she knew the voice. Why was Shou talking to her? And talking without mocking her on top of that.
"Are you going to answer?"
No, she was not going to answer.

The two just walked in silence for a while, until Shou talked again. "I was thinking about the assingment. We could work on it today if you have nothing to do."
Ruy looked at him quickly, but then fixed her gaze back to her shoes.
"What do you say?"
"Uh... Okay", she replied. She didn't want to, but since she had no choice...

"Good, then why don't we meet up at the school gates at three?"
"Okay."
"See you then", Shou said and jumped on his skateboard, leaving Ruy's side.

Ruy stopped walking and looked at the way he went. Why does this happen?

~~*~~

At three, Ruy was at the gates, leaning on a wall. It was already half over three, and Shou was nowhere to be seen.
She should have known that he wouldn't come. He probably found something better to do, like have fun with his friends or something...
Sighing, she took her bag from the ground, swung it on her shoulder and started to walk away, hands deep in her pockets.

"Hey!"
She didn't turn to look at whoever was yelling, running towards her. The person grabbed her arm, so she would turn.
"Where are you going?"
Ruy looked down. Shou was smiling like he didn't even know what was wrong.
"Look, I'm sorry I'm late, but I had to help the chemistry teacher clean up the mess I did."
"It's alright..."
"Good, I knew you wouldn't be mad! So, you wanna go to the library or what? We could go my place or your place too, I mean, there's computers and stuff."

"Uh... It doesn't matter, you choose."
"Then let's go to your place, okay? We could go to library some other day then. We got plenty of time."
"Sure..."

Ruy wasn't competely alright with going to her house, her mother would be there. And it is not good to let her see Ruy with a boy, it took her two months to convince her mother to stop planning Ruy and Nao's wedding.
But it went surprisingly well. Ruy and Shou went trough the backdoor, and could avoid her mother because they heard her singing loudly in the kitchen, preparing an early dinner.

"Wow", Shou said in awe when he saw her room. "This is SO not how I would have imagined your room to be. You like X-Japan too?"
The X posters covered the white walls, one shelve was full of various CD's and DVD's, while other one was filled with books and magazines, and the third was full of all kinds of Hello Kitty stuff.
Shou laughed when he saw the Hello Kitty. "Are you serious?"
"I... I kinda collect Hello Kitty stuff... It's kind of a hobby." But Shou had already became occupied by something else. He spotted an acoustic guitar in one corner.
"You play guitar? That is so cool! Can you play something now?"
Shou took the guitar off of the holder and pushed it to the poor girl, sitting down on the bed.

"Actually I'm still learning, but sure..." She sat down beside him and started to play something. Shou noticed that the song was the same one she was humming earlier that day.
When she finished, she nervously looked at him.
"That was awesome. You're really good."
Ruy almost gave him a small smile. "Thanks."

After this they got to work. They worked until seven o'clock, and at about five, Ruy went down to the kitchen to eat. Her mother left after dinner to visit Ruy's grandparents, so the only ones in the house were Shou and Ruy.
"I think this is enough for today", Ruy said after she saw Shou try to hide the yawn.
"Oh thank Kami! This stars and planets stuff is so boring..."
Ruy shrugged. "I think it's actually kinda interesting. Anyway, library tomorrow?" Now that she had gotten to know the boy more, she wasn't as nervous around him.
"Sure. And hey, it's Friday tomorrow, you wanna go goggle stars tomorrow night?"

"Okay."
"I'm gonna go now. See you tomorrow." Shou collected his stuff and left.

Actually, he wasn't that horrible. Ruy had thought he would be really rude and do nothing. But they really worked together, not just Ruy doing all the work and Shou complaining that she was doing it all wrong. He was nothing like she thought he was.
Ruy never had a boyfriend. She even hadn't had a crush! She never really had any other guy friends but Nao, which doesn't count because Nao is not like other guys.

When she was going to sleep that night, she thought about Shou and felt a faint blush creep on her cheeks.

~~*~~

Shou walked home in silence. He didn't live with his parents anymore, they lived so far from school, so he moved to an apartment closer to school with Tora. But it seemed now that Saga and Hiroto lived there too, even though they both really lived at home.
What happened today? He was nice to someone he thought he hated. Actually he never hated Ruy, because he didn't know her. But tonight he saw a side of her that he didn't know excisted. She came out of her shell and joked around, smiled, even laughed. She had never smiled at school. She didn't have any other friends than Nao.
Nao was a friend of the four boys too. He was alright, he was cool. But when he started to hang out with Ruy more, Shou and the others kind of stayed away from him too. Shou never realized it though.

Now he felt bad because he... He realized he had bullied someone. Sure, he didn't know it but he still had done it and he wasn't exactly proud of it.

Shou entered the apartment, throwing his keys on the table, missing it because it was knocked over.
He found the guys from living room, fighting over a bottle of god knows what.
"Hey Shou!" Tora screamed from under the pile of Saga and Hiroto. "How was your date with Freak?"
Hiroto hit Tora on the head. "Don't call my cousin a Freak! She's miss Freak to you, baka! My family is freakish and proud of it!"
The pile broke when Saga got up and went over to Shou. "No, seriously, how was it? Did she try to eat your brains? You want us to kill her for killing you with boredom?"

"Actually..." Shou started, and the world held it's breath to hear his answer. "It wasn't so bad."
Tora, Saga and Hiroto looked at him like he was crazy, so he just shrugged and went to his room. "I'm going to sleep."

~~*~~

Next day at lunch, Nao and Ruy were sitting outside, talking about everything like they always did.
"What do you have today?" Nao asked, looking at disgust at his own lunch. His mom did not know how to cook.
"The usual." Ruy took an apple and a waterbottle from her bag, and gave her lunch to Nao. They always did this.
"So, how did yesterday go?" Nao asked.
Ruy felt herself blush a bit and a small smile spread on her lips. "It was alright..."

Nao looked at her in horror. "Oh Ruy! Please tell me you don't like him!"
"I don't like him!"
"Then why are you blushing?!"
"I... It's very hot in here."
Nao looked up. The sun was blocked by clouds. Plus, they were sitting in shadows.

"Rei Kyumura! You can not like Shou! Oh no, this is so not good..."
"Why?"
"Because!"
Ruy raised her other brow. "Because?"
Nao sighed. "I just don't want you to get hurt by him. Or by anyone else for that matter."

Ruy just laughed softly and hugged him. "Just because I like him, doesn't mean I'm going to get hurt by him. Doesn't mean anything will happen."
"Just watch out, okay?"
"If that makes you happy, sure."

~~*~~

After school, it was Shou's turn to be on time. Ruy was late only for about ten minutes, but she had a good excuse - she met Tora and Saga in the hallway. She had just been taking books out from her locker when the two boys appeared. While Tora searched her bag and stole the money and food, Saga went trough the locker and took her mirror. So now Ruy was mirrorless, poor and hungry.

"Sorry I'm late. I got caught up", Ruy said to Shou when she reached him.
"It's alright. But hey, before we go to the library, can we pick up my sister from the kindengarten and take her home? I promised my mom I would..."
"Uh, yeah, sure. No problem."

They arrived to the kindengarten, and Ruy waited outside while Shou went to get his sister from inside the building.
While waiting, Ruy looked at the kids playing on the playground without a worry. One girl fell from a swing and obviously got a scratch on her knee, because in a nanosecond, a boy was by her side. The boy blew on her knee, and the girl smiled, wiping away her tears. They held hands when the boy helped the girl back on the swing. And as if nothing had happened, she kept swinging, but the boy didn't leave her side.

Ruy turned her attention away from the two kids when she noticed Shou coming back. He was holding the hand of a small five year old girl. Her hair was braided and she had a pink barbie backpack. She kept jumping up and down and pulling on his hand, but Shou didn't seem to mind. He just smiled at her every single comment.

"Hey Ruy, this is my sister Hana. Hana, say hi to Ruy", Shou said. And with a piercing gaze, the little girl turned her face to Ruy. She looked at her for a moment without saying anything, then looked back at her brother. "Is she your new girlfriend? What happened to Aki? I'm telling mommy."
Shou laughed. "Ruy's just a... friend." He gave Ruy a smile, and to her horror she felt her cheeks get hot, which meant she was blushing. Even though he said "just a friend"... Wait, what?! Since when have they been friends?

Shou and Ruy dropped Hana off at their house (they took the subway there) and headed to the library. Hana had been asking Ruy every personal guestion her five year old mind could come up with.
"So yeah, sorry about my sister. She's just at that age", Shou said with a smile.
"I don't mind. She's really sweet", Ruy replied. She had patiently answered every guestion, not once losing her temper. "You two seem close."
"Yeah, I just love her so much. But since I've moved out, I don't see her as much. You have siblings?"
"I have an older brother but we were never that close", Ruy says. She wasn't sad about not being close with her brother. He was never exactly nice to her.

They arrived to the library. Worked for hours, almost finishing all the research. All they needed to do now was to write the essay, which will be easy. And after tonight, they will be have even more stuff for it. They both were sure they will get a good grade.
But as they worked, Shou noticed Ruy being silent. Yesterday she had warmed up pretty fast and started to talk more, but now it seemed like something was bothering her.
"Is everything alright?" he finally asked.

Ruy was about to nod, but didn't. Instead, she shook her head. "No..."
"Uh... Well, you wanna tell me about whatever it is that bothers you?" Shou asked, scratching the back of his head.
"It's just that", Ruy started, looking at her hands, "well, you and your friends. Why do you hate me?"

This question took Shou completely by surprise. He had never thought about it. "We don't hate you, it's just... Actually, I have no idea why we are always so mean to you." Shou seriously didn't know. For some reason they just decided to start bullying a girl that never did anything to them. She just could have been such an easy target. A small, quiet and lonely girl who was unlikely to tell anyone about the bullying.
Shou was dragged away from his thoughts when Ruy spoke again. "That's why I was late after school. Saga and Tora appeared and..." Her voice faded and she started to play with a ring she had on.
"From now on, we will leave you be. I promise to make it all better."
Ruy didn't doubt his words for a moment.

~~*~~

Before Ruy and Shou could go to goggle the stars, they went home to get their stuff and something to eat for the night. Shou's older sister will be driving them there.

Shou went home and was greeted at the door by Hiroto.
"ShouShouShouShouShou", Hiroto cheered happily, jumping up and down with a magazine on his hands. Tora appeared on the doorway that led to bathroom, a toothbrush in his mouth.
"Sorry, we gave him sugar", Tora laughed.
Shou shook his head with a smile and went to the living room. "Okay, guys! Gather up! We need to talk!"

Hiroto ran into the room and jumped on a couch. "Okkaayyy~! Whatcha wanna talk about??" After Tora and Saga got there too and were sitting on the couch, Shou started talking.
"This is about what we have been doing for the past two years."
"Ooh!" Hiroto gasped. "It's a trick question! Wait, I know, I know! We have been... LIVING TOGETHER!" Suddenly Hiroto grabbed the front of Saga's shirt and started to shake him. "SHOU WANTS TO MOVE OUT!"
"Tora, are you sure it was a good idea to give him sugar and all...?" Shou asked the dark haired boy who obviously was regretting his decicion.

"Anyway!" Shou said once Hiroto had been calmed down (and tied to a chair). "It's about Ruy."
Hiroto started to squeal under the duck tape and his eyes filled with happiness again. They were talking about his lovely cousin!
Shou continued, ignoring the squirrel: "I don't think we should continue being so evil to her."
"Why?" Saga asked, confused about this.
"Because she's really upset about it, and I don't know about you guys but I don't want to be the reason of an innocent girl's misery."

Saga and Tora looked at each other. There was no doubt of it, their friend had gone mad.
"Since when do you care?" Tora asked.
"Since I realized we were actually hurting someone!" Shou was frustrated, they didn't get his point. "Look, I know you don't want to do this anymore either. Ruy's actually really nice and..."
"Oh, well now I know what this is about!" Saga yelled in realization. He grinned and stood up. "Looks like our Shou has a crush on the nerdy girl!"
Shou gasped and stood up too. "Do not!" he argued back.
"Do too!"
"Do not!"
"Do too!"
"Do not!"
"Catfight!"

Shou and Saga both turned to look at Tora, who was now too standing and basically glowing. "Well what?" he innocently asked. "I was feeling left out."
Only now they all noticed Hiroto screaming with a red face under the ducktape. Saga went to release him, and right when he was free, Hiroto jumped on Shou, still screaming. But this wasn't the good kind of screaming. He was really mad. At the point when he was about to hit Shou, Tora and Saga had to pull him off and hold him back.
"Hiroto, calm down!" Tora yelled, and that made the squirrel shut up. "What's going on?"

Hiroto gave Shou the best glare he possibly could. "Don't you dare to have ANY feelings for Ruy! She doesn't need that from you! First you decide to make her life living hell and then you decide to screw it up even more!"
Shou was shocked. "Okay, first of all, I don't have any feelings for her. Second, I am trying to fix the situation", he explained. "And besides, if you never liked us picking on her, then why didn't you say anything?"
"Because... It started off as harmless. At least that's how i saw it. It was just joking around. But I didn't see the truth. And when I did, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to get in trouble."

Shou looked down. "I... I need to go now. See you in the morning." He went to take his things from his room and when he passed the living room again, he stopped. "Tora and Saga... Think about it."

Hiroto shook the two off from him and sending one last glare to all existing, he stormed off after Shou.

Tora and Saga looked at each other in shame.

~~*~~

It had been two hours since they got the perfect spot. It was on the country side where you could actually see the stars. Near Shou's cousin's house there was a gazebo type building, and that's where the two will sleep in case it starts to rain. Outside it they set up the telescope and they also had a blanket on the ground to sit on. They had food, full-body condoms (sleeping bags) to sleep in, warm clothes and everything else imaginable. Ruy's mother even forced her to take the first-aid kit. Just to be sure, you know.
Ruy sat on the blanket, writing something on her notebook and Shou looked at the stars trough the telescope.

"Shou? Can I ask you a question? You don't need to answer if you don't want to", Ruy said, suddenly looking up at him.
"Sure. What is it?" Shou didn't look at her direction, but after he heard the next thing, he looked at her in surprise.
"Who is Aki? Hana mentioned him and..." This guestion had been going trough her mind for a while now.
"Um..." Shou left the telescope and sat down beside her. "Aki is actually a girl. Aki is short for Akane. She used to be my girlfriend."
"Used to be?"

It was just now that Ruy noticed the kind of hurt look in his eyes. Whatever the thing with Aki was, it must be serious.
"We dated for two years. Until one day, she decides that I'm not good enough for her. The next day, she has someone else."
For some reason, Ruy felt angry. Before she felt kind of jealous but not anymore, now she knew the real story. "You really liked her then?"
"Liked her? I loved her. My parents thought that she was perfect, they expected me to propose to her as soon as I was old enough to marry."
Well now she really regretted ever asking! "I'm really sorry... I shouldn't have asked..."
"No, it's alright", he said with a smile. "I guess we've both been hurt then, huh."
"Yeah... I guess so."

Shou lied back to look at the stars. They were everywhere, and the sky was dark so you could see them more clearly. The moon was huge and bright, it was fullmoon that night.
"You don't see this everyday, do you", Shou said so quietly that it was almost a whisper.
Ruy looked up to see what he saw. "Yeah, I guess that in the city there are so much bright lights at night that they kinda the the shine away from stars."
Shou nodded. "Yeah... Oh, by the way, I talked to the guys about... you know."
She smiled and replied: "Thank you. What did they say?"

"Well... At first they thought I was joking, then Hiroto was tied to a chair, then Saga said that it's all because I like you, then Hiroto threw a fit because of that and almost hit me. Hiroto never liked doing what we did, you know", he said, looking at Ruy. She was looking at him with a blank face. "I told Tora and Saga to think about it."
Ruy then gave him a small smile. "Well, even if Tora and Saga don't do as you asked the to do, at least you tried. And that's what counts."
"Yeah I guess so. But they're not bad people."
"I never thought they were..."

It was silent for a moment until Shou broke it. "But you know... Saga's words weren't completely wrong. You know, about me liking you." He looked at her to see her reaction, but didn't see it. If it wasn't so dark, he would have seen the heavy blush covering her face.
"What do you mean?" she asked, but it wasn't necessary. She already had a pretty good idea of what he meant.
"I mean, that... I like you. And I'm not sure if that's a good thing because of my past actions, and you must hate me, but..."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because I'm not one of those people that hide their feelings for long. I'd rather have everything out and that way have a peace of mind. And who knows when I'll get the chance again."

Ruy didn't answer anything. She couldn't. If she told him she returned the feelings, he could just say it was all a joke and then make fun of her. If he was telling the truth, he could be upset if she didn't say anything or lied. And if she told him and they somehow got together, it wouldn't necessarily work out. They had really been civil with each other for a few days. But if two people like each other, it doesn't always mean they even get together in the first place... And there was the promise Ruy made to Nao... It was all so very complicated.

"Are you going to say anything?" Shou asked, but when not getting an answer, he continued. "You know, it's alright if you don't like me back, I understand that. But at least say so."
Okay, so she had to say something. "I... I'm not exactly sure how I feel..."
Shou looked back at the sky from her and sighed. He took that as a 'No, I do not like you, thank you very much', but only more polite. "It's alright."

Ruy sighed too and laid back beside Shou. Just as she did, Shou pointed at the sky. "Look! I shooting star! Quick, make a wish!"
"I have nothing to wish for!" Ruy started to panic, so she just wished for the first thing she could come up with. It had something to do with Shou, though...

Shou made his own wish too. For a minute, they just lied in silence. "What did you wish for?" Shou asked.
A grin spred on Ruy's face as she replied: "I ain't telling."
"Oh come on!" Shou whined.
"If I tell, it won't come true!"
"You believe that stuff?"
"Oh, and who was it that wanted me to wish in the first place!"
"Don't try to change the subject!" Shou pretended to be angry, but the laughing gave him in.
"I wasn't!" Ruy took a pillow from somewhere and hit him with it.

Shou had that shocked face on. "You just hit me with a pillow!"
"So what if I did?" Ruy asked with a grin.
"Why you -!"

Shou attacked her and started to tickle her sides. Too bad for Ruy that she was extremely ticklish everywhere.
As it goes in every cheesy romance movie, Shou ended up on top of her and they both laughed like crazy. Soon the laughter stopped when they realized the position they were in.

'It's now or never...' Shou thought. Ruy was smiling, she looked so beautiful right now... He leaned in, and gave her a kiss that lasted for only a moment, but left that tingling feeling on both of their lips.

Ruy bit her bottom lip and saw him blushing. Soon her confusion turned to happiness and she smiled. "I think my wish just came true."
Shou smiled back, just as happily. "Mine too."
