Ch. 1 A Midnight Cry

Anna's P.o.v.

I sat at one of the kitchen stools waiting for Derik to get done changing. I wonder where Tyler is.....
I lost all thought as i suddenly started to space out staring at the kitchen counter. "Hello." I jumped and fell out of my seat and closed my eyes waiting for the tiles to make contact with my body. I felt strong arms grab my waist and hold me up. I opened my eyes to feel Tyler face looking at mine.
"sorry if i scared you."
I nodded, still not able to find my voice.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, im sure." i said in a shakey voice.
I noticed that his hands still hadn't left my waist. Slowly his face inclined towards mine.
"Um..Tyler?"
"Yes?"
"Can i ask you something?"
"Yes.." His face came closer. I focused on his neck.
"Why where you and Derik fighting?"
" we just had a little disagreement thats all." was his short reply.
"So, thats why he was bleeding?!?!"
"Yup."
His face was less than an inch away from mine and i looked into his eyes, i was able to see all the diffrent shades of blue in them. As i stared i lost all thought, it was like a blanket being layed over my brain and blocking all thought and movement, and all i could do was watch. As he started to fill in the space between us i heard a "What THE fuck?!?!" and the next thing i knew i was being pulled away from Tyler by another set of strong arms. I looked up to see Derik's angry face. Uhhhoohhh, and what the hell just happened?!? The two of them started glaring at each other not saying a word.
I heard the screen door open and in walked a boy around my age, or a little older sat down at one of the stools like he was at home. I stared at him with wide eyes. who is that and what IS he doing???
"Ahh, fighting over the girl again i see." he said.
Hmmm, ok their fighting NOW about me, but that was cause Tyler almost kissed me, but they weren't fighting about me before..... right??
The guy turned to me and smirked at me like he had heard what i was thinking.
"What do you want Angel??" Both Tyler and Derik said at the same time, deepeneing their glare.
"I just wanted to see the heat, the fight, and to check out this mortal that you two seem to think is worthy fighting over."
"Shut UP Angel!" yelled Derik.
I have never seen Derik like this before, So angry so tense so...... so..... filled with loathing towards someone else. He was always so happy, always joking. I wonder what happend between these two..
"A dangerous question to ask yourself Anna." said Angel.
"Wh-wh-what question?" i looked at him with even wider eyes.
"The one where you asked yourself what happened between Tyler and Derik."
In my prefrial vision i saw Derik go ridgid and Tyler smirk at him.
"HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?!?!"
"Easy, i read your mind."
"Wh-wha-what the hell?!?!"
"Im a demon, i can do that."
I laughed. "Right and im the freaking tooth fairy!"
"Im not joking, Tyler here is a Vampire and Derik is a-"
Derik's fist slammed into Angel's stomach. I jumped inbetween them. "STOP IT!" I yelled. I looked up into Derik's face, he was furious. I bent down to Angel "Derik is what?"
"Hes a werewolf" he coughed out.
I looked up at Derik, he wasn't looking at me, so i looked at Tyler, he smiled and as i looked closer i saw long razor sharp fangs.
"Is he telling the truth Derik?
He didn't turn around, didn't say anything.
"Derik! please answer me!"
"Yes, we are what he says we are, im a werewolf and their a vampire and demon." he said in a harsh painfilled voice.
"Oh....."
Thats all i could say, i mean, what are you supose to say when your best freind turns out to be a werewolf?
"Derik...."
I stood up and gave him a hug. If he was a werewolf, i was ok with that, hes still my best freind.
"Your still my best friend no matter what you are."
He turned to me with tears in his eyes.
"I was so afraid if i told you,you would be scared of me, that you would run away from me screaming werewolf!!"
" You gained my trust long ago, thats not going to change now."
He hugged me back and I say Angel clapping his hands with joy and a big grin on his face.
"But.."
"What!?!" asked derik.
I turned to Tyler.
"It's now pretty scary that Tyler like tried to kiss me..."
Tyler grined.
"I wasn't going to kiss you."
I backed up while I heard a wolfish growl come from Derik's throat.
Angel sighed, and i stepped between them.
"Its his nature now, even though its creepy, he can't help it."
"Ahh the girl learns fast" Tyler said.
"Shut up Tyler, i wasn't talking to you."
Derik grinned at him.
I threw my hands up in the air, im gonna stay out of your guyses fights from now on. I went and sat down on the couch, and next thing i knew i was asleep.
