The untold adventure (1)

I owe my sucess all to Mrs.Thompson our drama teacher.
Well....thats probabably a quarter.
I guess if it wasn't for Vincent Morale then I wouldn't have made it this far.
Let me just explain...
The day that it all started was an ordinary day. I was sitting through math class in ninth grade, with my best friend gemini. Gemini and I had been best friends since kindergartin. We were inseprable. Mr.Geraldio was going on and on about Something, but I wasn't listening. Under the table gemini and I were ranking the guys in our math class on a scale of 1 to 10. Most of them reached a 4 factor. Oh well whatever. Then came the announcement. The one that would change my life forever.
"All students who are interested in the winterplayplease meet mrs.Thompson at 2:45 sharp in the auditorium. i repeat, all students who are interested please meet Mrs.Thompson at 2:45 sharp in the auditorium. "
Well i was sure interested! Finally the bell rang and I jumped out of my chair, and yelled "YES!!!" pumping my fist in the air. Then I realized that I was standing on a chair. In front of the class. Yeah. Oops. "Rachel Smith, WHAT are you doing?" Mr.geraldio asked. Then he shook his head and said "never mind. I guess we can see. Well, you are er...dramatic." mr.geraldio said, with a small smile. Well he couldn't have asked me twice. I leaped out into the hallway and rushed to get to the auditorium. I loved to act more then anything, and in junior high and elementary school I had always got the lead in the school plays. But I was worried about this year. I mean, teachers loved seniors. WOuld they REALLy just play a senior girl who was popular and who couldn't act, then a freshman girl who could? God this school. As I was thinking about that, I heard shouts of "rachel! Rach wait up!" yelled Gemini. So i did, and I fell into line beside her. "You are soooooo going to win the lead role! I can feel it!" said Gemini. "lets hope so." I said slowly.Then we apporached Diana Morley, and Bethany Mekkonen. They were two girls who were in my English class. "hey Rachel are you trying out for drama?" asked bethany. "Yeah, I love to act!" I smiled. "yeah, I'll try out with Bethany, but i know I will probably only get cast as an extra. " Diana sighed. We continued to walk toward the auditorium.As we got in we took our seats, and listened to Mrs.Thompson talk about that school play (we were preforming itin december.) and it sounded very interesting. Appratently the play was called Leona and it was about a girl named Leona, who got dropped at birth down a mountain but survived. SHe always tried to find out who her real parents were but no luck. Then one day she ended up having a dream about her twin sister. She had been kidnapped by demons. Leona had to try to save her, and so it begins. It sounded VERY good. As Mrs.Thompson handed out the scrips, I looked at it, and saw that I was wrong. It was VERy good. It was AMAZING. Seriously. I needed that part.
After Mrs.Thompson was finished, we headed out of the auditorium to see Vincet Morale. "are you trying out for Leona?" he asked. Vincent had been with me since grade school. He was also in kindergartin with me and Gemini. "yeah I am. " I said. "yeah, you have a good chance of winning it, but I heard that Micah Morris wanted to try out, and I heard that she was an extra in a horror movie." said Vincent. Uhoh...That was bad. REALLY bad. An EXTRA??? "Rachel will win the lead. Right Rachel?" asked Gemini. "right!" I said confindantley, but inside I wasn't actually feeling that way...
