Chapter 33 : -You Stab Me In All The Right Places- >30

"Shit!" Cassie wobbled uneasily on the edge of the ravine, looking down into the sudden darkness. Natalie was beside her, also staring into the black abyss. She was grasping Levi's hand, trying to slow her panic to a simple, numbing feeling.
"Now what?" Tyler asked quietly from behind them, crouching down low and watching the dragon swoop up and down through the clouds, teasing them and enjoying itself.
"We jump…" Levi gritted his teeth and clenched Natalie's fingers. He could smell her fear rising in her like a floodwater.
"Like hell we do. I say we make a run for it." Cassie rolled her eyes, glancing from left to right, then back down.
"No one is running and no one is jumping… fucking retard…" Tyler muttered under his breath. "It's coming for me and only me…" He shielded his eyes as the mighty beast gracefully floated through the air and blackened the sun for a moment. Cassie shook her head.
"There is no way we're gonna let you go…" She threatened, glaring at Tyler. He shrugged.
"It'll take me to Kendra…" He observed with a small voice. All was silent, the only sound was the wind whipping through the trees and the heavy wings of the dragon. "I have to go…" Tyler looked back at his friends, noting their slightly drawn out expressions, and wondered whether they were saddened, scared, or simply bored. He shrugged it off and stepped away from the ledge, going out to the trees' edge.
I cannot believe I'm giving up this easily… Tyler thought to himself, feeling a searing pain as the dragon dug its claws into his back and lifted him off above his friends and dropping head first into the dark and never ending ravine.
