*Flash Back*
You turned on your heel to Sesshomaru and said a bit offended: ,,I'm just asking him his name!''
You turned back to the man, who was most definitelly a demon, and waited for his response. He had pressed his face as close to the bars as possible, and pushed the hair out of his eyes. You blinked. Was it just you, or were his eyes blue?
%Maybe the ligth . . .%
The man smiled: ,,Heh. So Sesshy doesn't want his dirty little secret out, does he?''
The man chuckled as he ran his hand through his hair. Sesshomaru had already locked the door and quickly walked to the exit, telling you to follow. You took a few steps towards him, but you stopped when the man spoke again: ,,You are most likely my only relative left alive in this world, Tsubasa Sayuri.''
You turned around and looked him in the eyes. The color was in fact dark blue. You stared at him: ,,What . . .?''
The man finished, smirking to you: ,,Great grand-daughter, huh? Well, I'm the legendary Tsubasa Yori, your great grandfather, apparently.
* End of Flash Back *
Time stopped. You watched the man in the cage room looking at your reaction, an dyou heared Sesshomaru's voice telling you to come, and the annoying yells from the two trapped bat demons. Finally, you remembered to breathe, and when you did, Tsubasa Yori smirked: ,,Surprised? Yeah, me too.''
A sudden pull swept you away from the man called Yori and he called after you: ,,Come back to visit, Onna!''
When Seshomaru slammed the door, you pulled your arm away from him. You stared at his face when you asked: ,,For how long has he been kept there?''
Sesshomaru said nothing and made his way towards the exit. You stormed after himalmost growling. You noticed that the cell Morn had been in was empty. A shiver traveled down your spine in horror as you remembered Sesshomaru's words: ,,Take Morn to the smaller torture chamber. Give him two days.''
You stormed up the stairs. Sesshomaru walked up the stairs gracefully but in a fast manner, but you decided not to notice. Why was your great grandfather locked up in a cell by his, aparently, arch-enemy's son, Sesshomaru? Wasn't he supposed to be dead?
When you finally reached the surface you simply walked passed Sesshomaru, glaring. You made your way up to your room, where you shut the door rather loudly, went to your balconies and sat on the stone railing, with some space between you and the wall.
You were shaking as you tried to find the timeline, of how long Tsubasa Yori had been locked away. You remembered that your father had been 55 when he died, and around thirty when his mother died, when she was aproximately 70.
You closed your eyes as you tried to calculate in your mind just how many years those were.
You slowly opened your eyes as you realized that Tsubasa Yori had been closed off in a cell for maybe 100 years. You hid your face in your knees which you had pulled up to your chest as you had been calculating.
,,How . . . ? Or Why . . . ? Why lock him up for one hundred years?''
You grew impatientsuddenly, and wanted Sesshomaru to come to you instantly and answer your questions.
A minute later Sesshomaru stood by your side, glaring at the landscape before him and asked a bit annoyed: ,,Do you have to take this so badly?''
You glared at him: ,,Maybe because he's my great grandfather who I did not know was alive mostly because he had been locked inside this castle for the last one hundred years? Or maybe I'm totaly not upset . . . ''
You looked back to the view when Sesshomaru said: ,,You don't know him.''
You asked just as cooly: ,,Do you?''
He now turned his glaring eyes to you and said: ,,No. He was locked away by my father since he didn't die. Most would call it mercy.''
You growled: ,,Heavily wounded, being locked away by his enemy, not knowing if his wife and newly born daughter were alive. Sorry, but I can't see the mercy in those actions.''
Sesshomaru explained, even though he knew it was a useless act: ,,He wasn't killed. That is the mercy my father gave him.''
You stared at him furious: ,,I would rather die then living in the uncertancy of you being dead! And talking about being locked away from the world so securely that you couldn't ask anybody!''
Sesshomaru said over your loud voice: ,,You were never suppossed to know of this,'' he looked at you again and asked: ,,Do you remember when I said that there are things you don't know about me, and if you would know of those things you would most likely hate me for them?''
You nodded. Sesshomaru sat down on the railing behind you, by the wall and almost whispered: ,,This is one of those things.''
Yo let your legs fall down on either side of the railing and leaned back to him. You sighed as you felt him move to the same postition as you were in. His arms snaked themselves around your waist and you let your hands rest on his.
You asked him calmly: ,,And do you remember what I said to that?''
Sesshomaru answered positively. You smiled: ,,Well, I really mean it. I can't hate you, whatever you have done in the past. It was your father who locked him up, and you just decided not to do anything about it. I guess that I'm just shocked that he's still alive.''
You gently stroked Sesshomaru's hands. You were still curious about that deal with the ice-demon. So you just asked him: ,,Why won't you just tell me?''
You felt Sesshomaru's body tense up a bit as you said that. He asked: ,,Tell you what?''
You explained: ,,Like what happened to Rin's last babysitter, and the last ice-demon, and that girl in the tower who controls the guards, what the deal is with all those kimono's. You know, all that stuff.''
Then you realized: ,,And Jaken! Where is Jaken?''
You heard Sesshomaru sigh. Then he asked: ,,Do you have to know?''
Carefully you shook your head: ,,No, not really. But I'd really apreciate it if you would tell me.''
He sighed again: ,,Since you came here have things suddenly started to become rather more complicated and difficult.''
You smiled to him: ,,Sorry Sesshomaru. You don't have to tell me, you know.''
,,And you know that in the end you will order me to tell you, ad start to have even worse moodswings.''
You giggled: ,,I'm not that bad, am I?''
Sesshomaru asnwered you with a clean answer: ,,You are what you want to be.''
You smirked to hima nd watched the trees sway in the wind. You felt that the wind was encreasing, as you told him: ,,Good answer.''
For a while you didn't say nothing, just let the sun shine down on your and thought of the silence as a request of having this conversation another time. The calm wind was moving the treetops and you noticed some birds flying in the distance. Mountains to your right, fields and grass to your left, infront of you nothing but a lot of trees and in a great distance you noticed a canyon.
Suddenly you asked out of the blue: ,,Is it forbidden for me to talk to him?''
At first Sesshomaru remained silent, as if hesitating to answer your question, and you tried to wait for him, patiently. The he said: ,,No, it is not, but . . .''
You cut him off rather eager: ,,So I am allowed to talk to him!''
Sesshomaru let you finish before stating rather annoyed: ,,Let me finish.''
,,Sorry.''
Sesshomaru was again silent for a while before he answered: ,,You are not forbidden to talk to him, but I would apreciate if you wouldn't.''
You bit your tongue while he was talking, trying hard to let him finish what he had to say, and when you were sure that he was, you turned around and faced him: ,,Why?''
He watched you, unemotional: ,,Because he is who he is.''
You answered him almost annoyed: ,,My great-grandfather.''
,,And the number one threat to my plans.''
You closed your mouth stubbornly, only to open it again: ,,.How would me talking to him affect your plans?''
Sesshomaru swung his right leg over the railing again and stood up while telling you: ,,Because he will do anything to get out of that cell. He uses and manipulates innocent persons, who want him nothing but good, to make his captor release him.''
You swung yor left leg over the railing and stared at him: ,,Who did he use?''
Sesshomaru turned around and stared over you, to the mountains: ,,He used the last ice-demon. Countless of servants. And he tried to use me, when my father was here.''
He turned back to face the trees and you sat there, speecless for the moment. Then he continued: ,,The reason why I don't want you to talk to him is; why should you be able to resist him if even I wasn't able to.''
When you got your speech back, you told him stubbornly: ,,Because I'm human. And I have his blood in my vains. Let me at least talk to him. You can come with me, or send someone with me. Please.''
For a minute Sesshomaru said nothing. You thought that he wasn't going to budge, and you had almost admited your defeat, when he said: ,,You and he are almost horrifyingly alike. Fine. But I will be there with you when you talk to him. Always.''
You smiled a smile which could have brightened up anyones day and jumped up to hug Sesshomaru, while squeeling: ,,Thank you, thank you, thank you! I promise that I'll do anything you want, at any time, anywhere!''
Sesshomaru mumbled while he put an arm around you: ,,And just how long do you think that will last?''
You giggled: ,,I don't know, two days, shall we say?''
You almost stiffened as you counted; nine days to go. You shook it off and continued smiling to Sesshomaru, who asked: ,,And I presume that it starts today?''
You kissed him gently and nodded: ,,Yes! But I first want to talk to him.''
Sesshomaru glared at you at first, but you gave him a pleading look: ,,Please, it´s only fair, right?''
Sesshomaru growled: ,,Why now? We were there just half an hour ago.''
You shrugged: ,,I don´t really care. He did ask me to come back to visit, you know.''
Sesshomaru said nothing for a while, he simply turned to your room and went in. He glared at the walls and said: ,,It is not a thing to do. You have already been there a short while ago, you can t go back there instantly. Wait at least an hour or two.''
You pouted. But you knew he was right. You couldn't just march right back down there, could you? It would look kind of stupid. Besides, you sighed, it would make Sesshomaru look like he wasn´t able to restrain you. Which would make him seem weaker when something concerns you, which might be a trump card in your great grandfathers sleeve, if he would get out.
Which he wouldn´t, if Sesshomaru could help it.
You nodded hesitantly: ,,Alright, fine. I´ll do it tomorrow. Is that okay with you?''
Sesshomaru nodded, and said slowly: ,,Rin is coming back. She will most likely go and search for you.''
You nodded again: ,,Yeah. Okay. Then I´ll just be with Rin, if you need me.''
Sesshomaru was already in the hallway, and you followed. Suddenly Rin´s head appeared in the staircase and she smiled to you a bright smile: ,,Yuri-chan! I found you! Look what me and Chika-chan found in the forest!''
She had a large basket filled with flowers and told you: ,,They each have some different effect if you boil them, or make something out of them! Chi-chan was telling me about it!''
You smiled and looked at the flowers and roots Rin had in her basket: ,,Really? hey, lets go and find Chika-san, so she can tell us about them again, and maybe we can try to do something . . .?''
Rin nodded laughing: ,,Yeah! She said that she was going to the kithcen to make some potions!''
Rin took you hand and you grabbed the basket: ,,I´ll hold it, Rin. And please don´t run down the stairs! What if you´ll fall down and hurt yourself?!''
You looked back to Sesshomaru and smiled. He showed nothing, but you knew that if he wasn´t so uptight around everybody else, he would be smiling back.
Rin was jumping downstairs towards the kitchen and you followed. When you two reached the kitchen, the only thing you saw was smoke.
You peared through it, coughing, and saw something which might could be Aya and Takehiko infront of the stove. Rin held her nose and mouth, and tried to wave the smoke from her. You walked towards the two figures and asked: ,,Hey, what´s burning?!''
Aya and Takehiko were caughing and waving the smoke towards a window and an open door, as multible Aya´s answered: ,,We´re not sure what it is, but it was a plant once . . .!''
Takehiko threw to you and Rin a towel and said: ,,Wave it to the openings . . .!''
You put the basket down and helped the two to make the smoke disappear, and the air to reappear. In five minutes the smoke was gone, but the smell still remained of the burned . . .
,,Plants? Who was burning plants?!'' Rin asked, looking at the burned, black pile. Suddenly Chika came from behind her and whispered: ,,T-they weren´t s-supposs-sed to burn . . .''
Rin yelped in surrpise, but you just poked the black thing with a stick you found: ,,Then what were they supposed to do, exactly, on the very, very hot iron over the fire, Chika-san?''
Chika blushed at your comment and whispered: ,,Umh . . .ah . . . T-they weren´t s-suppossed to b-be there, S-Sayuri-sama . . .''
,,Sayuri-san, Chika-san, we talked about this,'' you said patiently, and you looked at her smiling: ,,But why were they on the iron, then?''
Chika blushed and looked down to her toes, her tail swinging fast, and ears twiching in embarassment: ,,I-I must have p-put them . . . there, u-unintentionally . . . Sayuri-sama.''
You gave up on the girl; she´s never call you by your name only. You smiled to her: ,,Oh. Okay. But what were you going to do to them, Chika-san?''
Chika looked up, with a determined look on her face: ,,I was going to dry them and flock them into groups, and give it to the people who will need them in the future. And of course, I would make some oils out of some of them, since many have the apility to ease the muscles and have calming effect, as well as some of them can be used to stimulate the body and mind, or even your spirit. Some can help to get rid of a headache, or help when a person is sick, or hurt. Then I could as well make tea from some of the dried plants, and they can help as well with most of the earlier said abilities.''
You stared at Chika and you weren´t the only one. You thought: % It´s almost creepy how she stutters all the time when she´s talking to someone, but when she talks medicin . . . it´s scary . . . %
Then Rin blinked and said: ,,Then how were you going to dry them?''
Chika smiled and suddenly was holding a handful of plant you had no idea what was, and she explained smiling: ,,It depens on if I´m going to dry the stilks, the flowers, the leaves, the roots, or simply the whole flower! If I´m going to dry it in parts, I put it on a grate, or a frame of some sort, and let it stand in a dry, cool place for a few days, and turn it every now and then. But if I´m drying the whole flower, I have to hang them upside down in the ceiling for a few days.''
Rin nodded and looked down to the basket you were holding before you were waving the smoke out with the towel, which you were still holding. So you asked: ,,So, can you teach us?''
You seriously thought Chika was going to have a heart attack, or maybe just faint from all the blood which made it´s way to her head. Her hands jumped up to her mouth and she almost yelled: ,,Sayuri-sama, I´m not worthy to teach you!''
There was a long silence when you were thinking about why she was supposively "unworthy", but you found no explanation by yourself, so you asked: ,,Why aren´t you worhty?''
You yelped when Chika was suddenly bowing before you, on the floor: ,,I am unworthy!''
You kneeled down and pulled chika up. ,,Chika-san! Please! Don´t bow! We're equals . . .''
Chika once again almost yelled: ,,No! Sayuri-sama, do not say that! I´m not worthy of your attention, little less teach you!''
You were almost giving up when Takehiko said: ,,Oi, Chika-chan, why won´t you just teach her? You know, if you really do respect her more then me, then you would most likely do what she asks you . . .''
Chika gasped: ,,Oh no! Sayuri-sama, have I offended you in anyway?!''
You looked at Aya and Takehiko and then back to Chika and said: ,,Well, you know, you are saying that you don´t want to teach me, but, umh, offend me . . . ?''
Chika was almost shaking, so you just said while smiling sweetly: ,,Chika-san, would you please, just be so kind to teach us Rin, these things about plants? They could really come in handy . . .''
Chika nodded, whith tears in her eyes, but Takehiko groaned: ,,Chika-chan, stop crying! Why are you always whining . . .?!''
Chika and you stood up and you glared at Takehiko, since a tears escaped Chika´s eyes, which she quickly wiped away: ,,Sorry, Takehiko-san! I will stop!''
You just glared at him, and he shifted under your gaze. You then looked away from him and looked smiling at Chika: ,,So, where should we go?''
Chika said in a low voice, which you could barely hear, while looking at her oh-so-interesting toes: ,,W-we can go to m-my working-cabin . . .''
You took the basket and said: ,,Then lets go there!'' you turned your gaze to Takehiko, and said coldly: ,,I´ll see you later.''
Takehiko backed away a bit, looking away obviously a bit ashamed. You grunted almost, annoyed of how he was treating Chika. But you covered it up and smiled to Rin: ,,See, I knew she would teach us some stuff!''
Rin smiled and walked after Chika: ,,Yeah! Thank you Chi-chan!''
Chika smiled a shaky smile, and you noticed how she blushed as she looked back to Aya and Taco.
% I believe I´m on to something . . . %
The working-cabin Chika had was not that small, really. It was maybe the size of your bathroom doubled, and so, it wasn´t that small. The sweet yet strong aroma of plants ligered in the air and you smiled; this reminded you of a garden you once went to. You thought that you grand mother owned it, but you weren´t sure. You had been so young, but the smell always made you feel so calm and serene.
Chika had obviously been heating water, and she asked if you and Rin would like some tea. You accepted but Rin didn´t want any.
After you recieved your tea, Chika pointed at some stools in the far right corner of the dark cabin, and explained: ,,I-I think it´s b-better to work in a s-slight d-darker place.''
You nodded: ,,Ah, I see. And besides, if you would have candles in here, it might heat up the place.''
Chika nodded: ,,Y-yes, Sayuri-sama, the plants dry better if they are stored in a cool and dry place.''
And so the lesson began. Chika was patient, and let you two help her grouping the plants, roots, the flower pedants, and leafes. She showed you how to tie up the flowers, and how multi-colored strings and different knots could help to identify a group of different plants, which had different effects.
When three hours were over, you and Rin came out smiling from the cabin. Chika came after you and bowed her head slightly: ,,I-I hope this l-lesson was enjoyable, Sayuri-sama, Rin-san . . .''
You bowed your head as well and said: ,,It was Chika-san. I really enjoyed this!''
Rin was a little less formal and asked smiling: ,,So can we maybe come back again to know some more?''
Chika smiled: ,,Y-yes, of course. I-if you wish so . . .''
You smiled and then you suddenly turned to Rin: ,,Rin, can you go on a head and ask Aya for some snacks? I´d like to speak to Chika-san alone, okay?''
Rin smiled: ,,Sure, can we have some ramen?!''
You nodded. Rin´s smile brigthened and she turned on her heel to talk to the once again busy Aya. You on the other hand looked at the very worried Chika, who asked almost trembling: ,,Is something w-wrong, Sayuri-sama?''
You tried to turn your smile into a calming one, as you placed your hand on your waist: ,,No, nothing at all, Chika-san. I was just wondering if I could ask you a bit of a . . . umh, well, personal question?''
Chika nodded wide-eyed: ,,O-of course, Sayuri-sama.''
You leaned to her and asked in a low whisper: ,,What do you think of Taco-chan?''
You held in a giggle as you notice Chika´s face turn crimson, and her stammering became worse, so you felt like a bully: ,,I-I-I-I . . . I-I r-really t-think he-he´s a goo-ood umh, uh, ch-chef, umh, an-and th-that he-he can b-be fun-nny . . .umh, umh . . .''
You smiled and said: ,,Yeah, sure, he can cook, and he has his funny moments. But that wasn´t what I meant. Chika-san, you know you can tell me everything, right? I won´t tell a single soul!''
Chika couldn´t look up from the floor, and just continued with the stuttering: ,,I-I-I-I-I, don´t k-know what S-Sayuri-sama i-is talking a-about . . .''
You smiled to her and decided to just put the question out there: ,,Do you like Takehiko?''
Chiak was silent for a while, but you didn´t push her. You knew she would tell you, you two had bonded while talking about your pregnancy and then the plant-thingy.
Finally Chika said in a low, but confident voice: ,,Sayuri-sama, I will believe you when you say that you won´t tell a soul. But the answer to your question is; yes. But please don´t tell anyone.''
You smiled and hugged her gently, which made the cat demon jump a bit. You smiled over her shoulder: ,,Chika-san, I hope that we will become good friends before I . . . well, you know.I´d rather not speak about it here, the walls do have ears.''
Chiak nodded, and soon you felt her arms by your rib cage, and she whispered: ,,I would not want anything more, Sayuri-sama. Thank you very much.''
You let her go in a few sedonds, after whispering: ,,Nah, I should be thanking you.''
Chika giggled a bit, which was a sound you had never heard before. You smiled to her a confident smile and said: ,,Girl, you should laugh more often!''
Chika´s giggle increased, and you giggled with her, while the two of you walked to Aya, who was making noodels, and Rin, who was currently sitting by a table, watching Aya and telling her what she has learned. You sat down by Rin and aked Chika if she didn´t want some snack as well. Chika looked over at Aya, who was busy stirring the noodles, and you asked lously to overpower the noice: ,,Aya, isn´t there enough for Chika-san as well?''
Aya looked away from the ramen smiling brightly: ,,Well, I did count her in the meal, as well as me, you know . . .!''
You smiled: ,,Good girl Aya!''
Soon the ramen was ready and you girls eating it with some juice. You girls giggled and got to know each other better. But suddenly, Aya and Chika jumped up from the table and excused themselves. You and Rin looked at each other, Rin just shrugged. You on the other hand, wondered . . .
Never mind that, you saw the reason soon enough. Ten seconds later, the Lord of the house came in and the two servants bowed before him, greeting him. He didn´t look at them, simply made his way towards you and Rin. Rin smiled: ,,Sesshomaru-sama!''
You gave him a small smile, waiting for him to state his reason to come. Sesshomaru slowly said: ,,If you want to talk to him, I think you should do it now.''
You blinked your eyes confused: ,,Why?''
Sesshomaru´s face and eyes hardened as he stated: ,,He tried to escape.''
You nodded, not really surprised: ,,Ah. I can´t blame him really. So you are going to give him a round, like that other one?''
You couldn´t help but let a little of acussion linger in your words, but Sesshomaru said nothing of that. He just nodded: ,,Yes. A week.''
You looked away from him and swallowed. You stood up and smiled to Rin: ,,Hey Rin, I have to go for a while, I´ll be back soon! I bet you can go and talk to Taco-chan if you get too bored, okay?''
Rin nodded, but sat still, drinking her juice. You really felt bad for neglecting her for the whole day, but it just seemed like everything just had to happen.
You walked with Sesshomaru out of the kitchen and to the right, where the door to the cellar was. The stairs were just as long as the first time, but when you came down you could smell the blood in the air. You stopped and took a deep breath through your mouth. Sesshomaru didn´t look at you, but stopped and waited for you to get ready to move on. You sucked it up and started moving again, but the irony smell of blood still made you shake inside.
You walked towards the locked doors with the guards and Sesshomaru asked them emotionlessly to open it. The bloody smell became worse, and you wondered how you were able to detect it from the stairs, well ten meters away. But as you came closer to Tsubasa Yori´s cell you realized that the cursed smell came from it. Your steps became faster and you were soon at his cell. He didn´t come to the door, so you carefully peeked through the small window with the bars. You gasped as you saw him.
In the dark cell, which was almost blue, you saw him chaned to the wall. He was on his knees, breathing heavily, blood on his bare back and shoulders. You saw the wounds from something which looked like a whip, and the braid he had just swayed with every breath he took.
You closed your eyes before turning to Sesshomaru. He said nothing, just waited for your reactions. Finally, when you were able to speak, you asked: ,,Since he´s so far away, can we go in? I don´t intend on letting the bats hear what I have to say to him. Besides, he´s chained up and . . .''
Sesshomaru cut you short: ,,Yes. We can. But I don´t want you close to him. Do you understand.''
You nodded, noticing the icy exterior he had wrapped himself in, but pretended like nothing was out of the ordinary: ,,Yeah, I get it.''
Sesshomaru took up some keys, and youmoved away so he could start with the very complicated lock. After ten to twenty seconds the door slowly opened and you stepped in.
The man´s head slowly rose up from his chest, and he gave a short, and low laugh: ,,Onna, you came to visit. Nice to see you again. How long has it been?''
You crossed your arms and said utterly uninterested: ,,Three hours,'' but you added your question with slight interest: ,,Why did you try to run?''
His wrists were bloody from the cuffs he had, and he sat down and spit out blood: ,,Well,, onna, would you really consider this the best thing you could get out of life?''
You sat down on a bench, in a good distance from the relative closest to you: ,,No, not really. And please don´t call me that. You know my name.''
The man let another short laugh out and said: ,,Hai, hai, gomen, onna. Now, why are you here . . . ?''
You looked down to the floor and bit your lip. Then you answered: ,,Well, you are the closest relative I have, who is still alive.''
The man was silent for a while, before he came up with a answer, you would most likely have found up: ,,Oh.''
You looked over at Sesshomaru and you noticed the glare he gave you, reminding you of his words: ,,The two of you are almost horrifyingly much alike . . .''
You smiled to him softly, but returned your gaze to Yori. He had been watching you, and now glanced to Sesshomaru, and back to you: ,,So, how long have you two been at it?''
You blushed deep crimson, but Sesshomaru gave him an icy glare. You tried to keep your cool, and carefully looked over at Sesshomaru. He had glanced at you and then turned his head away. Which normally meant that he didn´t care of what you would say.
You couldn´t really lie to your great grandfather, so you just said: ,,Well, I have been living here for the past eight months, if that´s what you are getting at. I´m a babysitter.''
Yori nodded as he looked over at Sesshomaru: ,,I was starting to wonder where Hana had gone to . . .''
Much to your surprise you felt Sesshomaru´s body stiffen, even if you didn´t touch him, and he growled: ,,Shut up, or I will add another week to your punishment.''
You bit your tongue in order not to protest, this was something between Sesshomaru and Yori.
You turned back to Yori: ,,Anyways. Is there anything you would like to know, or something? Or do I have to do all the talking?''
Yori moved his hands a bit in the chains, making you wince for him. Then he hummed lightly: ,,You know, I would like to know if you could tell me something about how my dearest Etsuko and my daughter did after I was imprisoned.''
You smiled and told him what you knew of them. You also told him a bit about your father, and your grandfather, as well as your mother.
Yori scoffed over your father and said: ,,Well, by the looks of it, your mother should rather have been related to me than that father of yours . . .''
You told him a bit sad: ,,Your grandson, you know.''
Yori just scoffed again: ,,Hai, hai. How has your life been then, great granddaughter?''
You took a small breath as you remembered why everything had happened to you. It was kind of the mans fault. But it was also thanks to him that you met Sesshomaru. You told him a little about yourself, and about the fire, and a little bit about your new life here, but you didn´t mention your relationship with Sesshomaru. After that you paused a little, and said: ,,I would like to thank you, though. It was thanks to you that I got a new, and definitelly, a better life here. So, thank you.''
Yori looked at you rather surprised and confused: ,,What did I do?!''
You giggled: ,,Nothing really. But I believe that I should get going.''
You stood up under the mens gaze, and you turned to your grandfather, and gave hiim a deep bow: ,,Thank you. It was an honor to meet you at last, great grandfather. I hope we will get a chance to speak in the future.''
Tsubasa Yori did have his dignity, even if he was on his knees. He said a tad bit sharply: ,,Don´t be so formal with me, onna. I´m just a prisoner. But nonetheless; it was a delight to meet you, and to know that my decendants are alive there somewhere. Tell me, are you alone?''
You nodded: ,,Yes. My father had no siblings, and neither did I. I guess that my mothers body wasn´t strong enough.''
Yori nodded and bowed his head a little: ,,Well then, I do hope that you will start to spread, onna, because I don´t like the thought of me being alone in the world, hmm? Take care Sayuri, and may luck be on your side.''
You bowed again and replied: ,,On yours too, Yori.''
You saw his smirk, and you felt it follwo you out of the cell, of the only dictator that had been in Japan, your great grandfather.
Soon you and Sesshomaru were out of the dungeon-like basement, or maybe it was rather the basement-like dungeon, you turned to Sesshomaru and told him smiling sweetly: ,,Thank you so much. I . . . I really enjoyed that.''
Sesshomaru said nothing, but made his way to the stairs, sending you a look which told you to follow. When you were up there, he turned to you with a slight smirk: ,,Then can I get my reward?''
You smiled, blushing slightly, and you intertwined your fingers with his while slowly taking the last step to him and his chest: ,,Sure, lets give you your reward.''
