I was disgusted. He actually picked me up in such a careless manner? Just as I’d found a way to get out too. Who does he think he is? I’d kept still for the first few minutes, trying to figure out when the best time to free myself would be. I watched from the gap between his arms as he landed on yet another branch and I knew what to do. Waiting until he was about to land again I kept still until the last moment when I gave a sharp movement with my shoulder, causing the youkai to become distracted and loose his footing on the branch. His hold on me became loose and I slipped through his arms, laughing as I free fell for a moment before grabbing ahold of a branch and swing myself up onto it. The delightful smelling demon fell past me and I watched as he hit the ground below me before I pulled myself to my full height and hopping onto the next tree feeling quite pleased with myself. A growl met my ears and I laughed, hopping about in a vague circle, waiting for my new master to show himself. He ruined my plan to escape and save Kazuhiko so I was going to have some fun with him. I heard him break through the canopy and land on a tree a few behind the one I was currently standing on.
“Did you enjoy your trip milord?” I asked, a wide grin on my face as I turned to face him. He was a beautiful man, that much I was sure about.
“Don’t be so insolent and come here.” He smirked at me.
“I’ll obey you if you can catch me.” And I took off again, hopping in a zigzag away from my owner.
3rd Person POV
Lord Sesshomaru chuckled as he watched the young youkai jump away from him and he gave chase. He was fascinated by how graceful her movements were, even for a pure blooded demon she just seemed to float through the air. He had nearly caught her when she disappeared from view. Sesshomaru stopped and turned around searching the area for his new ward until he heard a laugh come from below him. Looking down he saw Hisoka wave at him before dropping down from her perch on a thin branch and landing on the floor, transforming as she fell. Her wolf form hit the ground running and an excited bark fell from her mouth. Shaking his head, Sesshomaru dropped own to the floor, also changing into his true form and giving chase. The pair twisted round trees at such a speed that they were merely white blurs. The great lord watched as Hisoka changed back into her human form, the process so fluent that she didn’t even break her stride. She jumped back into the trees for a brief moment, reappearing with an apple in her hand Lady Hisoka ate it as she ran, tossing the cob behind her and hitting Sesshomaru in the face with it. The dog demon stopped for a moment, shock knocking him out of sync and he nearly stumbled. That was all it took for him to loose sight of his ward. A scream drew him towards her though and he bolted in the direction of the noise. A faint splash met his ears as he skidded to a halt at the edge of a cliff, his demon form being replaced by his humanoid one. Glancing down he saw a small black and white figure drag itself out of the water a few foot from where it must have fallen and he smirked.
Normal POV
I didn’t see the edge of the cliff until it was too late and I’d already lost my footing. A startled cry left my lips as I twisted in the air and transformed. If the river below me was fast flowing I’d have a better chance of getting out if I was in my demon form. As I hit the water my breathe was taken from me as the temperature shocked me. It was so cold, I felt my legs going numb almost instantly. Resurfacing quickly I managed to swim against the mild current and pull myself ashore. The river had chilled me to the bone and I desperately shook out my fur, hoping the less water it contained the warmer I would be. As my body stilled I felt a hand on the scruff of my neck. Looking up I met the golden eyes of my new master and I barked, happy with the chase but exhausted.
“Caught you.” I transformed back as he smirked at me, raising my body temperature so I would dry quickly.
“Indeed you have milord.” I smiled as he took of running, motioning for me to follow him.
