Monday. Back to school, back to reality. There was still a good ten minutes until the first bell. I used it to clean out my locker. I'm the type of girl to just shove papers in my locker, and not really think about it. I was early for once. That was exciting. Odie was late, she took too long walking up the stairs. That's just how she is though; she walks at a snails pace. I was late for Math. That sucked. Other then that, today's been pretty uneventful. Odie didn't have detention for once, so the three of us [Odie, Ang and I] are walking home together. I pushed my sister into the middle of the road. Her reaction was hilarious. She acts like cars actually drive down the one-way street we take. "Madre, ready for our fun filled day of usness?"
I ditched Angeleigh at the front doors and searched for Pat and Odie. I started at their lockers and worked my way to the cafeteria. Of course, they were in the last place I looked.
"You didn't wait for me Odie."
"I got dropped off at seven."
I was still sleeping then, so I guess I'll forgive her. She usually walks to school with Ang and I. We don't walk home together though, not usually, anyway. Detention is her home away from home.
"So, yesterday was fun."
"Sure was."
"Like your turtle?"
"Yes I do. Thanks for getting it."
"Eh, it's no problem."
After stacking my books on one of my shelves, I slammed my locker shut.
"Any particular reason you're at my locker?"
"Just wanted to talk."
"About what?"
He stood there for a second, obviously trying to think of a conversation topic.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my bag. "Get back to me in a few days." I gave him a quick pat on the head, and left for my homeroom class.
"Did you do the Government homework?" I asked.
Odie shook her head and cracked a smile. "Do I ever?"
"Good point."
I know Pat did his, so I can just steal it from him during P.E. and give it back before class.
Our grade isn't all that big, so we have most of our classes together. The freshman class is the biggest yet; 87 kids.
"After school plans?"
"Homework, and hangin out with the mom unit." I do that sometimes. My mom is fantastic; I consider her one of my best friends.
"Sure am."
She rented movies and everything, Mom went all out this time. She popped in her first movie choice and then sat on the couch.
I rolled my eyes when I realized she was forcing me to watch The Cowboy Way. It's her favorite movie. Once, I hid it on her because she wouldn't stop watching it; she didn't like that very much.
What's the point of renting movies, if we always watch the ones we own??
If I think watching this is torture, wait till Mom realizes my first choice is Jackass 2.5
