I sat at my computer screen, staring blankly at it. I had just been talking with my best friend,Ashley, and had found out she might move. It shattered me. Ashley was the only thing keeping me sane. I was starting freshman year of high school, and I knew with out Ashley I would crash and burn. I had a feeling pitted at the very bottem of my stomach. A feeling of regret, anger, and saddness mixed together. How could her parents want to move?!?! It was Beverly Hills for god sake's. People die to move here for just a day, and her parents wanted to her to move?Saying it out loud made me sick."Sarah! Ashley's here! Send her up?" My mom called. "Yeah.Send her up." I called back. My mom loved Ashley. She was like a second daughter to her. She wouldn't want her move. I sighed though. I knew my mom would just give me another speech about why everything happens for a reason. I spun around in my swivel chair as I heard someone open the door. Ashley stood there with her arms outstreched for a hug. I simply shook my head no. It would most likely be a goodbye hug. And those kind of hugs made me burst into tears. And I didn't want that. I had to be strong for Ashley.
"What's wrong Sar? I can't have a hug now?"Ashley said with her eyebrows raised.
"No! Not until you tell your parents you refuse to leave." I said
Ashley sat down on my bed."If it was that simple Sarah, I would, I really would. But it's not. So I can't."
And that's when I burst into tears.
2 years later....
I stood in the hall with me 3 friends, Jessica, Karen, and Claire. We stood with a sense of authority. We ruled this school and everybody knew it. We talked about the girls walking down the hall, about how nerdy some of the guys were, and about our current boyfriends. It was perfect. I loved this life and wouldn't change it for the world. Then front doors open and the mood suddenly changed. An very emo girl came rushing in the door with black and white striped leggind with a goth pixie on them, a ruffled balck skirt, and a white shirt with with black sleves with the same pixie on it. She ran over to me and gave me a hug. I imediatly pushed her off. Who was this girl and why wa she hugging me?
"What's wrong Sar? It's me!" The emo girl said.
"Do I know you?" I said looking her up and down.
''Uhhhh, yeah! It's me Ashley!" Ashley said happily.
"Well, nice to meet you Ashlen." I said turning away.
"Well...okay then you don't remeber me...great." She said as I strode away, still trying to figure out how this new girl knew my name...
