“Keaira, darling.” My mother said.

I didn’t wait for her to say anything more. I ran into the bathroom to take a shower. Once I was out people began dressing me (which was quite awkward) and began to fix my hair and make-up.

My new dress was white, duh, but it looked totally different from my last one. It had spaghetti straps made of lace and it was very poufy. Lace lined the top and the bottom of the dress and even tied it shut in the back.. It was very simple and yet elegant at the same time. It also hid the fact I was almost four months pregnant, very well.

I looked down towards the wedding ring on my finger. It looked just as beautiful as the day Dwayne gave it to me.

“Keaira, dear, look up.” My mother said for the fifth time.

The lady was having a difficult time doing my hair. I looked at myself in the mirror. My hair wasn’t cooperating with the clips the lady way trying to put in. She couldn’t manage it like Sadie could.

“Okay, I have to go, but I’ll be back in a few minutes to fetch you.” My mother said exiting to room.

Soon the hair dresser left me alone in my room. I sat and looked at myself in the mirror. My mind was cool and my breathing was deep. In the mirror I scanned myself and decided I was ready to be married.

“Keaira.” A voice said after there was a soft knock on the door. “I don’t think I should come in because maybe that human superstition is right, but I just want to tell you that this time nothing will go wrong. There’s a bunch of security all over the place and there’s no way anything could go wrong.” Dwayne assured.

“Thank you.” I said while my eyes looked over to the door.

“I’ll see you soon.”

I took more deep breaths and rubbed my stomach in a clockwise motion. It seemed to calm my nerves down a bit.

It was not long before my mother came up to retrieve me. This time though, I stayed in my own body.

We hurried down the stairs and then to the double doors where my father stood and waited for me to grab his arm. My mother exited and took her seat like a before. I smiled up to my father and we walked out of the double doors.

The scene was the same as it was when I was originally going to get married. There were flowers over an arc that Dwayne stood under and wore his million dollar smile. Everything looked better through my own eyes though. Everything looked . . . brighter.

I noticed that there were a lot of people sitting on my family’s side, though I only knew three of them. Dwayne had a bunch of family members too, but I guess mine and his were even. My father took his seat next to my mother (who was already crying tears of joy).

Dwayne took both my hands in his cold, manly ones. I couldn’t help but smile back to him stupidly.

The man in between Dwayne and I began reading from a big black book in his arms. He looked up occasionally to make sure both Dwayne and I were still there. The non-priest was talking so quietly and fast I couldn’t understand a word he was saying, but I didn’t want to listen to what he was saying. I just wanted to look at Dwayne.

“Do you Prince Dwayne Israel Issac Constantine take Keaira Thorne Mortensen to be your lawful wedded wife?” The man asked with his eye over Dwayne.

“I do.”

“Will you respect and honor her throughout your years together?” He asked Dwayne.

“I will.”

“Do you Keaira Thorne Mortensen take Prince Dwayne Israel Issac Constantine to be your lawful wedded husband?” The man now asked me.

“I do.”

“Will respect and honor him throughout your years together?” He asked me.

“I will.”

“I know pronounce you husband and wife.” The priest declared. “You may kiss the bride.” He allowed.

Dwayne swiftly leaned over and kissed me lightly on the lips. It was a perfect kiss. Not to long, but not to short. Just perfect.

Every body clapped, some more than others, and stood up. I looked towards all my parents trying my best not to blush. They all had tears in their eyes, probably for different reasons.

“I love you with all my heart, Keaira.” Dwayne brought me into a hug.

“I love you with all my heart, Dwayne.” I responded.

“Keaira, it’s so nice to see you. Oh my, we have missed you so much. Are you okay? When’s the baby due? How does it feel to -”

“I missed you too mom, but let’s ease up on the questions.” I hugged here and then hugged my dad. It was nice to see him not dead. I still have nightmares about him being attacked by vampires thanks to Sadie and Garret.

“Oh honey, we are both so happy for you.” My mom said hugged me again.

“Do you guys want to meet Dwayne?” I asked.

I looked around the busy ball room for Dwayne and finally found him talking to Damien. I’m surprised I found him so quickly considering more than half the people where also wearing all black and that there was a lot of excess furniture. There was a table with food and a few couches that were all occupied.

“He looks busy, but I’m sure we’ll get to meet him later.” My dad spoke.

“Alright, well I should probably go greet some of the family members I’ve never met, but don’t leave without saying good bye, okay?”

“Sure thing.” My dad said and I went to go find my real mother.

I found her talking with my father and two other elderly people.

“Keaira!” My mother exclaimed as I neared them. “We were just speaking about what an honor it is to have you as our daughter. These are my parents, your grandparents, Kenneth and Thorne. “ My mother greeted happily.

I was about to shake their hand when my grandmother hugged me. I hugged back and instantly knew that she was my grandmother. There was just this connection I had when she touched me.

“It’s a shame we never got to meet you before, but it was for your own good.” Thorne said, releasing me from her hug.

“Well better late than never.” I said stupidly, but they all laughed like it was the funniest thing on the planet.

“Oh yes, oh yes.” Kenneth, my grandfather, said while chuckling a deep chuckle. He had a short grey beard and his hands were shoved into his pockets. He reminded me of Santa.

Another man greeted us a few moments later and he looked to be the same age as Kenneth.

“Keaira, this is my father, Franklin.” My father introduced.

Franklin just gave me a firm hand shake.

“If only Keaira, where here to see you. It would bring her true honor to have you named after her.” He said. It took a while to realize that he was talking about his wife, my grandmother.

“You wouldn‘t mind if I talked to Keaira privately for a few moments, would you?”

I turned around to see Dwayne.

“No, no. Go ahead, Prince Dwayne.”

I took Dwayne’s hand and followed him out off the ball room and then down the hall to a spare bedroom.

My stomach did butterflies wondering what he would want me for. The passed few times I exited the ball room, I didn’t get exactly model news.

“Finally, a moment to ourselves.” He said. I exhaled relieved. “You look so beautiful, I don’t know how much longer I could have gone without having you alone.”

I hugged him.

You’ve made me the happiest girl in the world.

You’ve made me the happiest man in the world.

He pulled back so I could see his beautiful eyes even though the room was dark. I didn’t get to see them for long because he pecked me on the lips once . . . Twice . . . Three times.

“I don’t think I could be any happier right now.” I commented. We were hugging again and even though I was in heals I had to tilt my head up to speak softly into his ear.

“I don’t think I could either.” We stood like that for a while, just hugging. “We should get back before we look too suspicious.”

“I guess your right.”

I grabbed his hand and them walked into the ball room.

I sat next Dwayne at a long table that all our guest also accompanied. Half of them were eating wedding cake and they other half had glasses filled with blood. Dwayne swished his glass around so the red liquid made a tornado effect inside. Occasionally he would bring it up to his lips to take a sip, but he was mostly just talking to our guests.

Suddenly he clinked his glass with his fork and everybody’s eyes where now on him. He stood up and cleared his throat.

“Today you have witnessed Keaira’s and my wedding and we are both very happy that you all could attend such a day that makes history. I would like to say thank you for sharing such a special time with us, for all the gifts we have received, and for your prescience.

“There a few people I would like to thank individually though, because without them, this wedding would not have happened. First, I would like to thank my parents. Without their help and dedication this wedding would have been a total disaster. I would also like to thank my new father and mother in-laws. It is a honor to be apart of your family at last. Most of all though, I would like to thank my new wife, Keaira.

“Keaira, you truly mean everything to me and I promise our futures will be nothing but bright.”

Everybody clapped as Dwayne took his seat.

“Bravo. Bravo.” A voice said after the guests had stopped applauding. The room had grown silent and I looked nervously around the room as did everybody else. “What a touching speech, cheesy, but touching all the same.”

“Dwayne.” I whispered scared. He grabbed my hand.

The guards quickly began guarding the guest, me and Dwayne in particularly.

“Oh don’t worry. I’m not actually that dumb to try anything when everyone is guarded so nicely. No, I’m going to wait, unlike the Prince and Princess who just could keep their hands off each other. Hmm, I guess the baby is showing a little now. Have you thought of any names? No, I suppose not. Just watch your back. All of you.” And then the voice left our ears and the creepiness of the room was lifted.
