They all rushed into the hospital. Making a bee line right to the front desk. Riley slammed her hands on the desk and looked at the scared lady behind it. “What rooms are Billie Corona in and Adam Thompson in?” Riley asked, more like demanded.

“Umm just a minute please.” the lady stuttered. Jeremy and Zac were trying to hold their laughs in. Veronica elbowed them.

Riley stepped back munching on her finger nails. That was a habit she did when she was nervous. Or chained smoked like Billie. Riley was glaring at the lady as she was looking through some papers. Like glaring was going to make her go faster.

“Billie Corona is in room 204 on the second floor. Adam Thompson is in room 215 on the second floor as well. I will get a nurse to lead you there-”

Riley just needed the floor and room numbers and she was gone. On a mission to find her friend and maybe soon to be boyfriend. “Riley wait up!” Zac called after her.

They all jogged to catch up with Riley who was in the elevator already. He hit the 2 button and they went up.

As soon as the doors opened Riley sped out. She speed walked down the hall, glancing at the room numbers until she found room 204. The door was open, so Riley took that as ‘walk right in’. But there was yelling coming from the room, which made her pause at the door.

“GET THAT FUCKING NEEDLE AWAY FROM ME WOMAN!”

Riley walked in to see the nurse trying to give Billie an IV. Or put one into her arm. Billie was squirming so the nurse couldn’t do it. “Fine I give up.” the nurse finally said setting the IV down and walking away.

“BILLIE!” Riley shouted.

Before Billie could turn to look at the person who shouted her name, she felt someone on top of her; straddling her. They gripped the front of her hospital gown. Billie looked up to see a crying Riley. Tears were pouring out of her eyes.

“What the fuck were you thinking?! You knew he’d want revenge after you humiliated him at his party!" Riley shouted.

Billie sat back grinning. "Since when has that stopped me before? And speaking of which, I did a hell of a job on him. Ha, ha. He looked like crap. And to answer your question, Adam and I knew you were the most pissed at us. So we were gonna get your skateboard back as a kind of 'you know you love us' gift." Billie said prying Riley’s hands off her gown thing.

Riley let her hands drop to her lap. She looked at her frien
d who was grinning. “Hypothetically speaking..." Billie added.

Riley sat there on top of Billie; crying. “You went through all that trouble just to get me my board back?” Riley tried asking but her tears got the best of her.

“You’re my best friend and I felt bad spying on you and Adam. So I wanted to get you your board back.” Billie said looking down at her hands.

All of a sudden Billie felt Riley hug her. Riley was crying into Billie’s gown, hugging her tightly. “Oh Billie.” Riley cried.

Billie let a small smile creep to her lips. She wrapped her arms around Riley, resting her cheek on Riley’s head. “Tis ok Riley.” Billie said.

“No it’s not Billie. I mean look at you. You’re hurt.” Riley cried, not moving.

“Chicky I’m peachy. I am ok. Don’t worry bout me.” Billie said.

Riley sat up still crying. Billie reached over to her end table. Grabbed two Kleenex then looked at Riley. She wiped Riley’s tears away and fixed her make-up. “Riley I don’t want you to cry over me. No crying. None. You hear me?” Billie asked pointing at finger at Riley.

Riley wiped her nose on the back of her hand while nodding. Billie smiled then pulled her friend into a hug. Riley squeezed Billie. “I love you Billie.” Riley said muffled.

“Love ya too chicky.” Billie said. “Now go see Adam. He wants to see you. I can sense it.”

Riley sat up wiping her tears while nodding again. “I’m sorry Billie.” Riley said.

“Don’t be. I’m the one that should be saying sorry. No go before I kick your ass.” Billie said smiling.

Riley got off Billie’s hospital bed then walked out the door. Billie looked at her friends and smiled.
“Billie I swear, you are invincible.” Jeremy said.

“Fuck yeah man.” Billie said.

Riley was standing outside Adam’s hospital room. Fiddling with her fingers; looking down at the ground. Come on Riley; you two fucking kissed last night. Riley thought.

She sighed then stepped in. When Riley stepped in; Adam looked up at her. A big smile came to his face. Which made Riley smile. Oh god he’s so cute. Riley thought walking over to Adam.

“Hey there stranger.” Adam said.

Riley sat down in the chair that was by the bed. She was still smiling. “How are you feeling?” she asked; looking at his bruised jaw. He had a cut along his right eyebrow.

“I’m feeling fine.” he said smiling still.

“How can you feel fine/ Your jaw is bruised and your eyebrow is cut.” Riley said.

“Your point is?” Adam joked.

Riley punched his arm, then crossed her own. “You’re so mean to me.” Riley pretended to pout.

“Aw baby.” he said lifting her chin. A smile crept to Riley’s lips. Same with Adam.

Riley got up; she crawled onto Adam’s hospital bed. Then straddled him like she did Billie. Adam had his hands resting on her thighs; he was rubbing them with his thumbs. They were just looking at each other smiling. Then Riley leaned forward and hugged Adam. Her head resting in the crook of his neck. Adam wrapped his arms around her. He kissed the side of her head.

He rubbed her back. “I’m sorry Adam.” Riley whispered.

“What?” Adam asked in confusion. He sat Riley up so he could look at her. “Why are you sorry?”

“I don’t know; I just feel like I should say sorry to you. Like it’s my fault you are like this.” Riley said rubbing his arm.

“Riley don’t be sorry; it was Billie’s and my fault. Or I could put all the blame on Billie but I’m not like that.” Adam said smiling.

“That’s good; because if Billie heard that she would beat you up.” Riley said laughing.

Adam just smiled. “I wouldn’t put it past her.” Adam said. “I like your hair. Did Veronica do it?”

“You can call her V; we all do.” Riley said. “And yeah, she did. She came over after school and dyed my hair for me. I really like it.”

Riley swayed back and forth like a little kid; smiling like one too. Adam shook his head. “I think you look very pretty with it.” he said.

Riley stopped swaying and looked at him. “Thanks but I don’t think I am pretty.” she said poking his nose.

He grabbed her finger. “Well you can choose to believe it or not, but I think you are. That would be why I like you.” he said; letting her finger go.

Riley looked down at her hands; a blush was forming on her face. Why in san hell am I fucking blushing? We fucking kissed last night. Riley thought.

“I like you too.” Riley mumbled.

Adam heard her but decided to have fun with this. “What? I didn’t queit catch that.” he said.

Riley blinked but then looked up at him. “I like you too.” she finally said.

Adam smiled; he grabbed her arms. Pulling her toward him. A smirk plastered in his face. One creeping on Riley’s as well. Riley slowly closed her eyes; when they were closed she felt a pair of soft lips touch hers.

Riley felt Adam’s hands cup her face; hers were on the back of his hospital bed, which was in the upright position, so she could brace herself for the most part. Adam’s hands soon slipped down to Riley’s hips and stayed there. Riley was enjoying this kiss; she didn’t want it to stop, but there was something she needed to clear up.

They slowly pulled away from each other. Their eyes opening slowly as they pulled apart. Adam smiled and hugged Riley who hugged him back. “Adam can I ask you something?” Riley asked.

“Yeah shoot.” Adam said letting Riley sit up.

“So what are we?” Riley asked.

Adam blinked. Riley rolled her eyes.

“I mean are we boyfriend girlfriend? Friends with benefits, 'benefriends' as Billie puts it.” Riley asked.

Adam smiled while putting one of his hands on Riley’s cheek. “I would like to be your boyfriend. But do you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked.

Riley smiled hugging him; tightly. “I would love to be your girlfriend.” she said muffled.

“Yes!” he said hugging Riley back.

“I thought you were never going to ask.” Riley said sitting up.

“I was going to.” he said.

A nurse walked into the room. She looked at them. “I’m sorry but visiting hours are ending soon.” she said politely.

“Ok thank you.” Riley said crawling off the bed.

The nurse smiled then exited the room. Riley turned to face Adam. “Man; this blows. They wont let me leave until tomorrow afternoon.” Adam said leaning back and putting his hands behind his head.

“Man that does blow. I bet the same is with Billie.” Riley said.

“Yeah.” he said.

“Well I’m going to leave to go find everyone else. I will see ya tomorrow.” Riley said leaning forward.

They kissed; then Riley got up and walked out. She walked back to Billie’s room. Riley walked in. Veronica, Zac, Jeremy, and Billie looked up at Riley when she came in. Riley stopped and looked at them.

“You are look at me like I did something wrong.” Riley said walking over to Billie. Then climbing on her lap and hugging her.

“Nope; we were just about to leave.” Jeremy said getting his keys out.

“Ok; we’ll talk to you tomorrow Billie.” Veronica said standing up.

“Ok; peace out guys.” Billie said.

“Love you Billie.” Riley said giving Billie one more squeeze before getting off.

“Love you too.” Billie said.

With that said; they all exited the room.

“Man; I still think Billie is invincible.” Jeremy said walking out the front doors.

“Fuck yeah dude.” Zac said.

“Well look what the cat drug in.”

They all stopped to see Ashley and her hoes standing in front of them. Riley glared. She stepped forward. “What the hell do you want cunt?” Riley asked.

“I heard Billie even got knocked out. Serves the bitch right." Ashley said crossing her arms.

Riley twitched and tensed up. “Damn; word travels fast.” Zac said.

“Actually, I'd like to take credit for this." Ashley said flashing them her perfect smile.

Riley tensed up more. “This is your doing?!” Riley shouted. Her knuckles whitening from how tight she was squeezing them.
