The next morning, I was drinking my daily cup of coffee when my phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Hey babe,” I heard.
“Good morning Kevin,” I smiled.
“Um, are you at home?”
“Mhm,” I said, sipping my coffee.
“Okay,” he said. “I’ll be over there in a few minutes, so tell whatever boyfriend you have there he’s gotta leave.”
I laughed and said, “Riiiiight. But I’ll see you soon.”
I hung up the phone and walked into the living room, where the twins were playing. They looked up at me and smiled, and I grinned back.
A couple minutes later, there was a knock on the door, and when I opened the door, Kevin was standing there. I smiled and jumped into his open arms, kissing him with as much passion as I could.
We broke apart and he said, “There’s something I need to tell you.”
I nodded and we sat down on the couch. “Well, baby. I know it’s only February, and we were supposed to be off until June, but they scheduled us for an earlier tour.”
Hearing those words made my heart sink into my stomach. “Um, okay.”
Tears started filling my eyes as Kevin said, “But. We asked, and we want you guys to come with us.”
I smiled weakly but said, “Kevin, I can’t leave the twins here.”
“You don’t have to,” he smiled. “We want them to come too. And actually, my mom was the one that suggested that the five of you come along. And Joe, Nick and I really want you guys there.”
“Are you sure?” I asked, as my face lit up. He nodded and I said, “Kevin.”
His face fell into a frown and I smiled, “When do we leave?”
He stood up, hugging me, and spinning me in circles. Arianna walked into the room and said, “Let me guess. She’s coming with us?”
I nodded and Kevin smiled, “We leave in a week.”
I kissed him, and he smiled into the kiss, pulling away. “And now, my fair maiden, I must bid you adieu. There are many things that need to be taken care of.”
I smiled and kissed him again, “Bye Kev.”
“I’ll call you later baby,” he smiled. “You might want to think about packing soon, because a week is gonna fly by.”
I laughed and shut the door behind him, running into my room, grabbing suitcases and sorting through clothes.
This is gonna be so much fun!
