♥My Heart Your Hands~Derek Bloom~Scene One♥

“So is anyone else hungry?" I said sitting up.

"I'm starving!" Callie said from the loveseat. I nodded and looked around at everyone else. I looked down at the clock. 2:30.

"I'll get a piece of paper, and everyone can write down what they want, since no one besides Callie seems to have an vocal chords" I barked and walked over into the kitchen and pulled a piece of paper off of the writing pad on the fridge. I grabbed a pen and walked into the living room and gave the paper to Callie.

"Hmm.. Whopper.. Fries.. And I want a vanilla milkshake, slave" She laughed and threw the paper over at Matt who quietly wrote down what he wanted and handed it to Travis. I looked down at him and smiled, he smiled back and then looked away. Travis scribbled down some things and then Sonny started laughing.

"Sonny, what did you write?" Callie hissed.

"Nothing! I wrote down what I wanted.. Damn" He said and stuck his tongue out at her, then handed me the paper with a smile.

"Alright.. I'll be back.. Where's Derek?" I asked looking around. Matt shrugged and started flipping through the channels. I nodded and walked to the door. "I'll be right back.. Okay?" I asked.

"Okay! Thanks Riley!" Callie smiled and continued glaring at Sonny who was making stupid faces at her. I walked out of the house and over to Matt's car. The keys were on the seat, so I started it and drove to Burger King, and waited in the parking lot. I double checked my back pocket an sighed. If my mom found out I stole the five hundred from my step-dad, She would kill me. But what's five hundred out of the thousands he has? Rich bastard, and yet he let's us live in the crapy house, cheap..

"Shit, there he is!" I gasped and quickly got out of the car and walked over to him. "Hey Jon!" I smiled. He turned around and scrunched his nose.

"Wow, you sure do look different" He said and pushed his sunglasses up into his hair. I nodded and smiled.

"Well, I have your cash.. And the address. So.."

"Great.. So, I guess I will see you after everything's over, alright?" He smiled.

"Yeah, great, hit me up on AIM, alright Jon?" I said and gave him a hug. He nodded and we both walked our separate ways. I turned around and walked a to the entrance.

"Hey!" Derek smiled. I gasped and threw the list of food into the air and fell back against the wall. He smiled and picked the list up and handed it to me.

"Thanks, what are you doing here?" I said walking in and holding the door for him.

"I was hungry. What about you?" He said lowering his eyes.

"I got a list of food for the guys, why don't you come back with me, I'm sure it would be a little more fun, everyone there doesn't talk" I said and walked onto the line. He shrugged.

"Might as well, I have nothing else to do." He said and ended the conversation there. The line got shorter and then I ordered all of the things and got the weirdest look from the girl behind the counter. She stared at me, then my stomach, shrugged and went to get the food. She came back with four bags of food, and two of those holders filled with drinks.

"Shit" I laughed and moved over to the end of the counter and tried to carry everything.

"Need help?" Derek asked holding a cheeseburger in one hand and a soda in the other. I nodded and smiled. He put his food in one bag and grabbed two bags and a drink thing. I grabbed the other two bags and the drinks and we walked out of the place and over to Matt's car. "If you spill anything in here, Matt'll kill you" Derek laughed.

"You have no clue. He was pissed about the ice cream on the.. I'm not going to get myself started. Just, let's go" I said and scrunched up my face and threw the car in reverse, backed out of the parking spot, and then drove back to Matt's house.

"Derek!" Travis squealed once we walked in. Derek laughed and ran over to him. Sonny ran to me and grabbed the food I had and ran to the kitchen with Callie screaming at him.

"Fat ass, I will kill you if you touch, stare, or breathe on my whopper! You understand me shorty?" She said and then snatched her burger away from him.

"Aren't you hungry?" I asked Matt once he was the only person left sitting. He shrugged and stood up and walked into the kitchen. I followed behind everyone and grabbed my food.

"I can't believe I just ate all of that food. I mean, a vanilla milk shake, a mountain dew, a whopper, six chicken fries, a thing of fires, and the pickles off of Travis double whopper, and a cheesy tot" Callie cried and held her stomach. Everyone laughed, then Sonny sat on her stomach and yawned.

"Your fat is cushiony on my butt" He giggled.

"Shut the hell up, I'm not fat!" She barked and stood and pulled up her shirt exposing her stomach. "I have no rolls, yet" She said and pulled it back down, Derek looked down, cheeks bright red. I laughed and finished the last fry I had.

"Hey!" Derek said quickly, snapping his head up to look at Matt. "I learned this wicked thing on the drums.. I want to show you" He said and walked to the basement door.

"I want to see!" Callie laughed. I laid down on the couch and shut my eyes. Sonny stayed up stairs with me, everyone else went don stairs.

Callie's Point Of View

"Why'd you come?" Travis asked. I stared at him and then slapped his arm.

"I didn't know I was banned, you don't have to act all douche bag about it. Shit" I barked and crossed my arms. He laughed and patted my shoulder.

"I was kidding, young one" He said and sat down on a stool. I leaned against him and watched Derek sit down behind the drum set.

"I ran into Riley at Burger King" He said twirling a drum stick between his fingers.

"So" Matt said laughing.

"She was talking to some guy. I don't know if it was a big deal, but I don't know. I feel weird talking about it" He said hitting the symbol.

"She hasn't been acting weird" I said quickly.

"Yes she has!" Matt barked, "She's never the one to say, I want to be alone! I've never herd her tell me that and we've been going out for like four five years!" He said and then his eyes grew wide, like a deer in headlights. "What if she's cheating on me!" He whispered. I laughed.

"Don't you think she would've cheated on you already? I mean, like you said you've been going out for years"

"Maybe I'm not good enough" He said quickly, "She probably found someone else that's not as creepily tall and ugly as I am! Fuck!" He said. I walked over to him and stood on Travis's little amp, then slapped Matt across the face.

"Get a hold of yourself, dipshit!" I screamed. He stared at me like I was insane. "Riley's never going to cheat on you.. Derek's fucking with your mind.. And everything's fine." I said and turned to Derek, "Now you have to play some little drum thing to make it sound like you actually learned something instead of gossiping about stupid shit that isn't important!" I snapped and walked back over to Travis, arms tightly crossed against my chest. Derek started hitting the drums in some pattern, but I wans’t paying attention. I was too pissed.

Now Matt’s going to act weird around Riley resulting in her getting pissed and breaking up with him which then sends our little group of friends into a sides war leaving Sonny and I on Riley’s side and Derek and Travis on Matt’s side. A week or two goes by of Riley and Matt complaining about how stupid they were to say the thigns they said, and we have to listen to there rants, then they end up getting back together. How I know this all? It happened before, and man was it hell.

“Let’s go daydreamer” Travis said pushing me upstairs. I walked up stairs and behind Matt. We walked into the living room. Sonny had his head in the burger king bag, and Riley was in the kitchen getting a soda. I sat down on the couch and watched Riley walk in Matt spotted her and walked up to her. He grabbed her by the shoulders and I covered my face, I herd a bunch of ’nasty!’ and ’get a rooms’ so obviously they were now in a make out session and I really didn’t want to see that. So I put my head into someone’s shoulder. I cracked my one eye open and saw Derek looking down at me.

“Do you mind?” I asked lightly. He smiled and shook his head. “Thanks”

“Go have babies somewheres else!” Sonny screamed and there was a loud crashing noise. I looked up and saw Matt running after Sonny and the table by the front door with glass top, well, it didn’t have a glass top anymore.

“He’s amazing” Travis said laughing, “He can go from hardcore frenching with Riley to chasing around a troll because he broke his mom’s table”

“Tell me about it” Riley huffed and sat down next to Travis. The her phone rang. She pulled it out of her pocket and made a weird face, then looked at all of us.

“I got to go home.. I’ll be back later, my mom’s bothering me” She said and walked out of the house. Matt tackled Sonny and landed on the floor in the living room.

“I swear I’ll-”

“Matt, Riley went home” Travis whispered. He stood up and stared at Travis then at me, then at the door.

“Did she really go home?” He asked, then turned to me. “Go ahead, you won’t lie.. Callie.. Did Riley go home?” He said, breathing deeply.

“I.. Well, she said..”

“I don’t care what she said.. What do you think”

“Her mom needed help” I said calmly. “It’s her life.. I think she should be able to help her mom” I said and blinked. He stared at me and shook his head.

“I don’t believe you.. You know she cheating and you’re trying to cover up for her.. It’s sad that we knew each other longer, and yet you still take her side.. You’re just a great friend” He said and walked out of the house slamming the door shut behind him.
