Ch. 1 A Midnight Cry

Angel's P.O.V.

How rude. I thought to myself as the door closed in my face, i didn't even get his name.
I sighed and turned aroundto faceDani, my pesky cousin.Why didn't she just stay in the house like i asked her to? "why didn't you stay in the house?" i just had to ask.
"Why did you have to come over here? It was none of our business." Of course she was gonna be a smart ass and give me a reply like that. So i just walked back to our big grey victorian house with a big black wooden door. I walked in and heard the soft foot steps of Dani behind me. I went into the living room and sat down on the couch already deep in thought...
Why did i hear a female scream?
What was going on that was so important that a door had to be slammed in my face?
Why did the guy look so strained with a obvious mask on his face?
Who and whatwas he yelling at before i knocked?
These where some of the questions i asked myself. I would find out the answer sooner or later.

Anna's P.O.V.
............
I woke up laying on a soft bed, i looked around and noticed i was in Derik's room. Why am I in here?
Then it all came back to me like being hit by a brick wall.
hiding in the closet because i put pie all over Derik. Hearing soft breathing outside the closet door. A stranger who looked like my best freind but wasn't. Then passing out.
"Derik?" i whispered at first, then. "DERIK?"
I heard the shaking of the floor as someone came up the stairs, the door opened. I sighed in relief.
Derik.
"Are you ok?"he asked gently.
I thought for a minute.
"I.. don't really know.." was all i could say.
He grimaced and ocwardly scratched the back of his head.
"Sorry if you got scared, the guy that found you in the closet is my younger brother, Tyler"
I stared at him with an open mouth.
"Since when have you had a younger brother?"
"Since always."
I got off the bed and walked passed him, i heard him quietly follow.
I walked down into the kitchen and found the stranger.. i mean Tyler, sitting at one of the island stools. He looked me up and down as I stood there feeling out of place.
"My name is Anna, if you weren't informed." I stuck out my hand for him to shake it.
"I know. Im Tyler." he smirked.
He reached out and was about to shake my hand when I was suddenly pulled away.
"I told you not to touch her!" Derik yelled at Tyler.
Now i was confused. Tyler just glared.
"Woah woah now, calm down, he can shake my hand." I said as I pulled out of Deriks grip.
I stuck out my hand again and this time Tyler got to shake it. As i was shaking his hand i thought i heard a low growl behind me, not like any human growl but a deep wolfish growl. But then again it could have been my imagination.

Tyler's P.o.v

I smirked at my older brother as i shook Anna's hand and that got a growl from him.
"Now now brother don't want her to find out what you are now do you?" i mentally asked him.
A fierce "No" was his thought back.
I let go of Anna's hand and observed her again.
She was pretty, for a mortal. And she smelled delisious.
She was very thin and short in size, her short black hair swinging an inch above her shoulders, her big blue eyes, the color of sapphires ringed by a dark blackalways getting my attention.
I looked away as she gave me a short glare. I came to a conculsion, and brother wouldn't like it. But i really want to see her reaction.
"Im going to tell her what i am." I stated.
"ARE YOU MAD?!"
"Im not going to tell her what YOU are, so don't worry."
"But if she finds out your an immortal, she will ask if I am also one!"
"Pity, but im still telling her."
"Anna?"
"Yes?" Her voice.. like a chime of soft bells, soothing and calm.. i shook my head, what am i thinking.
"I have something to tell you.. I am a-"
A fist meeting my face knocked me to the ground.
I shook it off and let my eyes turn pitch black, now i was angry.
"I TOLD you NOT to tell her!"
I pulled back my fist and hit Derik right in the nose.
He picked me up and took me outside locking Anna in the house where she couldnt see anything.
We both changed into our immortal forms.
My hair grew longer fell into my eyes, and flowed onto my shoulders. My fangs grew to where they stuck out on my bottom lip, my nails grew into claws, ready for anything. A dark aura around my frame, my muscles 2 times the size they where before, my height now 6'6".
Derik formed into a white wolf, his head reaching about 6 feet, his teeth bigger than 3 inches and sharper than daggers. His hardened muscles under his fur tougher than any substance on Earth.
We circled each other for about a minute, looking for an opening to attack. I crouched low and he raised his hackles. I lunged for him and dug my nails in him while he sunk his teeth in my upper arm.
"Tsk tsk now now, you two are brothers, you shouldn't be fighting like this"
We let go of each other and looked at the person who spoke.

Derik's P.o.v

We heard a voice in the midst of our fight, i looked over to see Angel sitting on the fence looking at us with intrigued eyes.
I changed back into my human form as did Tyler.
"what do you want?"
"Hmm, nothing much" he said with a wink. "Just wanted to know why the fighting."
I looked behing me and quickly regretted it and faced the Demon again.
"Ahh, this is because of the girl I see, interesting."
I glared at him.
He laughed. "Why such an evil glare? i mean you and the human no harm."
"Then why are you here?"
"Now that, is a long story."
I turned to walk away.
"Wait! i didn't even get your name!" Angel called to me.
"It's Derik."
And i walked away.

As i got to the back door i saw Anna's face pressed on the glass and it was all foggy now, i couldn't help but laugh.
As I walked in I heard her gasp.
"what?" i asked self conciously.
"Your shirt is ripped and your bleeding!"
"Oh....."
I quickly ran up stairs and changed, I didn't need to bandage up because my wound wouldheal with ina couple of minutes.
