The Chronicles of Logan DeRais: The Book of the Prophecy
Chapter 13 : Epilouge
The clouds of black smoke hung in the air, suspended jut below the Llethle clouds. What was keeping them from disappearing was not apparent, but they were still hanging in the air long past when they should have been gone. Hours past, then the hours turned into days, and the days turned into weeks, but the clouds remained. The weeks passed into months. Then, changes began to occur. Tiny particles began detaching themselves from the cloud, and slowly floating away, towards the city of Hell. A trail of dust so miniscule it was impossible to see, and there was a constant trickle of the tiny specks. Months passed. Deep in Rhühmoüs lair, something was forming. Three months after the clouds molecules had begun traveling, a humanoid form was beginning to take shape, curled up in the fetal position. No one took any notice of it. To them, to everyone, it was invisible. Even to Satan himself. It was invisible. They were all blind. Finally, at the end of one year, the cloud had entirely disappeared. The thing in the cavern had lost its blurry outlines, and had taken on solid form. Slowly, unknown to anyone else, forgotten by everyone, its eyes slowly opened and its heart began beating once again. It waited.
