A Vampire Love Story [Fall Out Boy][Panic! At the Disco]... Ch.1

The news spread to the whole Vampire society that the trial would be held at the old decrepit courthouse beginning at eight sharp, the same moment the sun goes down in the horizon. Vampires from all the corners of the city began to walk or run or even hobble to the courthouse, wanting to know the fate of the last Dark Rose Lord George Ryan Ross. Overseeing the whole trial, Pete sat at the judge's stand holding onto the gravel to begin the hearing. The jury consisted of all the leaders from the different clans and some of the crew: Travie, Hayley, Gabe, Jasmine, Ari, Joe, Andy, and Jon. Patrick was acting attorney for Lily while Spencer became the acting attorney for Ryan. No one wanted to defend him, of course. Ryan didn't mind though. He wanted to go ahead and plead guilty just to get over everything. Spencer agreed only because he wanted to be part of the trial. Brendon sat beside Lily as the only leading witness, throwing death glares over at Ryan as he sat down with a blank face. Pete knocked the gravel on the stand and called everything to order. But of course, who had to be the amazing court reporter but Guy Ripley himself.

"The courtroom has been called to order by Master Pete Wentz," Guy reports to the masses outside of the courthouse. "Each side will present their case for the judge and the jury will decide the verdict for Ryan Ross. He has already admitted to pleading guilty to all charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, and conspiracy to destroy vampirekind and humankind. We go live into the courtroom right now. Delicious!"

"Will the defendant please rise?" Pete asks sternly as Spencer and Ryan stand up.

"Your Honor, my client here has decided to go ahead and plead guilty to all charges," Spencer states solemnly. "He would like to go ahead and await his sentence right now."

"Death!" Someone shouts in the courtroom, then everyone starts to murmur death to themselves.

"ORDER!" Pete shouts which silences the whole room. "Do you have anything to say Ryan Ross?"

"I have nothing to say, except I'm sorry. Sometimes love can drive a person mad-"

"Love?!" Brendon shouts. "You just wanted her for the power! Nothing else! I can't believe I was even friends with you- Oh wait, I'm sorry!- Our friendship was a lie too!"

"BRENDON!" Pete bellows out. "SIT DOWN OR ELSE!"

"Try and stop me!" Brendon shouts as he crosses the room for Ryan's shaking body.

"Stop!" Patrick jumps in the way from the defendant's side.

"Get out of the way Patrick!" Brendon struggles in Patrick's grip.

"You can't kill your half-brother!" Patrick shouts.

The silence was deafening. Brendon immediately stopped struggling and stares Patrick in the eyes. Vampires' eyes popped out of their heads with the new startling news. Ryan slowly stands up, looking at Patrick's content face.

"You can't be serious..." Lily whispers. "Brendon and Ryan are brothers?"

"Half-brothers," Patrick says. "It seems like Brendon's mother is Ryan's mother. I was taking some samples in my lab with Spencer and we stumbled upon the discovery."

"The DNA compatability was at least forty-one percent. Anything higher than fifty percent would mean actual blood brothers," Spencer sighs. "You two are indeed related."

Brendon glances over at Lily in total shock before turning to face Rye, his half-brother. Ryan's eyes darted from Lily to Pete to Patrick to Spencer then finally Brendon. Could it even be possible? Of course their eye color was the same but physical features... different.

"I suggest that we seek their mother Relana," Patrick says to the jury. "Then after that, we can truly render his verdict."

"Relana is your mother?" Ryan asks softly. "But my father said she ran away and got murdered. She's alive?"

"She's alive and in Transylvania seeking out my father Count Jorik Dracula-Urie," Brendon replies in the same tone.

"Then it's settled," Pete says standing up. "We will go to Transylvania in search of Relana Urie and decide Ross's verdict after. Pack up your things. We're going to Dracula's castle."

With that, Pete hits the gravel on the stand and everyone disperses with the news. The crew gets in a circle, including the bound-up Ryan Ross.

"This is crazy!" Joe shouts. "Brendon and Ryan brothers?"

"Half brothers," Brendon spits out staring at Ryan's face.

"So, we're going to Transylvania?" Ari asks scared.

"Seems like it," Lily says looking down at her swollen ankle. "When though?"

"As soon as possible! Perhaps tomorrow night?" Jon asks quizzically.

"We can take you guys on our night jet," Hayley shrugs. "I know the area more than I know my own hometown."

"Okay then," Jasmine says. "We're going tomorrow. Let's all go pack."

As everyone left the courthouse, Brendon, Lily, Pete and Ryan stayed behind.

"Once all this is figured out, I'll know if you're my real half brother. But for now, you're still nothing to me. Just a guy who tried to destroy me and the one I loved," Brendon helps Lily out of the courtroom without looking back.

"Everything just won't stop changing," Pete shakes his head as he takes Ryan back to the cell.
