A town never feels the same when you leave without a word, then show up on an old friends' doorstep with no say in where you've been. Words get spread by the lips of the jealous, and the mouths of the fearful. Their only mad because this one, lonely, good for nothing girl finally got her break, and left. The one that grew up in the middle of nowhere, with nothing going for her, but everything behind her. She found her excuse, and left. She held it against her parents, there was no way they were staying.

But the tales got twisted along the way, and no one ever new the truth. She fell in love.

Teenagers never have that perfect movie life. They never have that best friend that’s there through everything, or the gorgeous "everyone wants him" boyfriend. They never have the "I can talk to you about everything" relationship with their family, and they almost always hate their town, and the people in it. At least, that’s the story of this girl.

She was young, beautiful, and overly amazing in the minds of others, but in her mind she was a nothing. During a school year she had lots of friends and everyone adored her, but she wasn’t cocky. When the school year ended it was as if she fell off the side of the earth, she was no ones favorite anymore. It was the same every year, and she hated it. The perfect life that everyone saw her as was a lie. The money seemed to be less and less every week, and the family was drifting apart. One day this young, beautiful, overly amazing girl in everyone else’s mind got the guts to talk to her mother, and explain herself.

"You know, there’s nothing going for us anymore," She said. "Your jobs are failing to bring in groceries, and my friends don’t even realize I’m alive," She continued looking at her sternly. "It’s time for a change." Her parents agreed. By August this family from a small town in Massachusetts will be moving across coastlines to find adventure in California. None of her friends will miss her.
