Breaking The Habit [Bam Margera] #1

"You think you could drop me off at the skate park on your way back?" I asked him before he pulled out the parking space.
"Yeah, but I cant pick you up, ive got-"
"Its okay, ill skate home on my brand new board, it needs some breaking in" I smiled.
"Okay, great" He grinned.

Bam had dropped me at the skatepark, I looked at all the kids and how good they were. I laughed to myself, I guess im a shallow enough to say im better than them. I made my way into the park and started up by the half pipe.
I had been fucking about around the skate park for ages, when I suddenly noticed it getting a little darker, time to head back.
I headed out the park on my board adding a few flips and manuels along the way for practise.
"Excuse me?" A voice spoke behind me, I stopped my board and looked round.
There was a woman standing behind me smiling from ear to ear. She had long wavy brown hair, wearing a red Element retro tee with baggy pants and skate shoes.
"You're not gonna believe your luck" She went on. "My name is Lelani Halliewell, I represent the Etnies skate team as one of their directors, we're actually recruiting right now and im on the look out for some new blood, I like your style"
I stood watching her im complete awe. I think she sensed my dumbstruckness, so she carried on.
"I would love it if you came for an audition, you'd stand a really good chance on getting signed"
"But, im not, not that great" I stuttered. "I only do it when I have nothing else to do"
"Well for someone who doesnt do it that much, you're better than alot of girls Ive seen lately" She chuckled. "Here, take my card, theres a couple of other girls auditioning next saturday up in New York, you should come down"
"Uhh, okay" I croaked, taking her card.
"Whats your name?" She smiled.
"Peyton, Peyton Vallely" I nodded.
"Mike Vs baby sister" She stated.
I nodded.
"You learnt from the best" She chuckled. "I should go, but please come to that audition"
"Ill uhh, try" I smiled.
"Great, see you" She waved a little before heading out the park
I stood still for a few more seconds, did that just happen? I was just asked to audition for the female Etnies Skate Team. Imagine if I got in, my life would change so much, it would be fabulous. I smiled to myself and then skated out the park.

"Etnies!?" Bam exclaimed.
"Yep" I grinned. "Pretty great huh?"
"Pretty great?" Dunn butted in. "Its fucking awesome!"
Dunn picked me up and hugged me, spinning me a little. Bam had been reading over Lelani's card since I had gotten home.
"Well, I think this causes a celebration" Bam grinned. "Lets all go to D-"
"If you say Duffers, so help me god I will hang you from the ceiling by your nuts" I pointed at him seriously.
"Okay..." Bam rethought. "How about we call around and get people to come for a party?"
"Bam, its 7pm" Raab laughed.
"So, its my party, everybody wants to party with me" He smirked.
"Ill make a keg run" Novak grinned, heading out the back door.
While everybody went off in their various places for the party, Bam and I were left alone in the kitchen.
"Its great Peyton, you should be proud" He nodded.
"I havnt got in yet, you shouldnt jinx it" I replied, getting a little embarassed.
"You will though, Mike said himself your a great skater"
"But-"
"HEY!" Bam shushed me. "Own it"
I laughed and said thank you.
"Babe, you're worth it" He winked. "Right, I gotta call for a band, ill catch up with you later Miss Etnies"
I laughed and watched him walk out the room, dialling on his cell.
What a day, and it was about to get even better.
