That's the way I roll... (A Jonas Brother Story)
Chapter 6 : That's the way I roll #6 >>> Make-up & hair
it's about half way over
Ring. Ring. Ring. Who the hell calls anyone before noon? I rolled over in my bed and picked up my cell phone from my nightstand. I didn’t recognize the number. “Hello?” I asked in my morning groggy voice.
“Morning sunshine, what are you wearing?”
I was so surprised I shot straight up. “Nothing. I mean something of course. P.Js. Joe how the hell did you get this number?” I asked slowly getting out of sleep mode.
“Your mom’s a real nice lady,” he answered laughing.
I groaned and laid back down. “Remind me to kill her. And you for waking me up. It’s not even 10:30. It’s barely ten in fact. What do you want?”
“I called to tell you that we’re sending a car for you around seven.”
Is he serious? “You called me for that? It’s couldn’t wait for later?”
“I might not have time later.” I hung up. I was too tried to deal with him. About two minutes later the phone rung again.
“What Joe?”
“Jeez. No need to yell. It’s my ear you’re yelling into. I wanted to ask you what you’re going to be wearing tonight?”
“Why?” I asked annoyed.
“Cause we need to know where you are when you get there.”
“Don’t worry Joe, you’ll see me okay? Now can you please let me sleep?”
“Fine princess, see you later,” he said before hanging up. I flipped my phone closed and put it under my pillow. I turned to my side and attempted to sleep but the damage was done. The sun had already crept across the floor and made it to my bed. I closed my eyes and tried to think about tonight. I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to act. I don’t normally go out to concerts Maybe Kathy can help me with my look.
I decide to get up, since I wasn’t going back to sleep and practice my music. I haven’t practiced in a long while. I picked up my acoustic guitar and stroked it. I’ve had this since I was eleven, one could tell cause it was covered in Lizzie McGuire stickers. I begun playing the first song I learned. I sung along to the notes, “You wanna know more, more, more about me. I’m the girl that’s kickin’ the coke machine. I’m the one who’s honkin’ at you cause I left late again.” I was almost belting the lyrics to Tangled up in me by Syke Sweeten when my mom came in. “I haven’t heard you sing in a while you sound great.”
I smiled weakly and murmur thanks. “I’ve got some friends coming over later today. You’ll be around right?”
Her face flushed with excitement, “You mean your new friend Joe? I like him, I think he’s quiet dashing.”
Um okay, that’s so not creepy. “No mom, two new friends. They’re going to help me get ready to see Joe later.”
“Oh Louise, you have a date. That’s so great! What time is he-”
“Mom! It’s not a date. He’s in a band and I’m going to see him perform.” Her face still held that smile as she nodded and wandered off. Yeah well sorry to break your heart mom. I knew how much she wanted me to have a boyfriend so I could get over my ex. I practiced my cords a little longer and soon grew bored. By now it was ten past twelve and I have yet to take a shower. I grabbed my shampoo and my other necessary shower supplies and went to my bathroom. I took a long shower just to waste time. Bby the time I got out of the shower it was one o clock so I lazed around my house until the doorbell rang. I rushed to the door.
“Hey Kathy come in,” I told her.
“Hey ready for makeover madness? This is Devin by the way,” she said as they both entered.
“Hey,” I told him.
“Hey he said in a shocking wounderful British accent. He had amazing green eyes with shaggy dirty blond hair. He was about six feet which made me feel short at my losy 5’2.
“Um, I’m Louise,” I said putting my arm out so he could shake it but ti my surprise he took my fingers and kissed my hand.
“Nice to meet you. You know I really like that name. It’s a bit old fashion but not really. You look like a Louise.” I giggled a bit not knowing what to say.
“Alright, should we get started?” Kathy asked me.
“Oh um yeah follow me.” I said leading them to my room. “So? What do we start with?” I said sitting on my bed.
“Hmm, I think we should start with hair and makeup. Where are your beautification products?” I pointed to the bathroom and Kathy skipped into the room. I was alone with Devin.
“Um, you sit if you want to,” I told him patting my bed. As he sat next to me my heart skipped a beat.Did you like this story? Make one of your own!
