Chapter 1-
[Connor's POV]
I pulled up in the driveway following my mom's car. I stepped out and looked around.
"So. this is our new house. It's better than our apartment in Colorado."
"Yes. Yes it is." my mom agreed with me.
We moved from Smithdale, Colorado to here. Chicago, Illinois.
[Author's note. Don't know if that is a real city in Colorado. I just made it up.]
I'm actually really glad we moved. My parents just got divorced a week ago. My dad was a jerk. He was always at work and never seemed to make it home. I never saw him at home I mean. I'd hear a faint sound of him coming home at night while I was aleep. Then before I could wake up for breakfast, his car was gone. Later we found out he was having an affair. Staying late at work was his story to cover for Melissa. The other woman. My mom then filed for a divorce a month later. So now we are here. The place I always waned to live. Never thought I would get here. But I guess the world has many surprises.
About an hour later I was finished unpacking. Then my mom called me down for lunch. I walked down the stairs to the kitchen. I smelled grilled cheese. My favorite snack.
After lunch I decided I'd walk outside to check out the backyard.

"Wow." I couldn't believe we now had a pool too.
[Delilah's POV]
"Hey Dee. Look over here." Kylie whipsered.
"What?"
"I think you have new neighbors. There's a guy in the backyard. He's pretty cute."
I looked through the hole in my fence. He was cute.

"I wonder how old he is..."
"He looks around our age Dee. If we're lucky." Kylie laughed to herself.
"Hey! Delilah. Kylie. What are you guys doing?" Mark shouted at us.
*Crap. Busted!* I thought. Hopefully the boy didn't hear that.
[Connor's POV]
"Hey! Delilah. Kylie. What are you guys doing?" I heard a guy shout.
I looked through this hole in the fence.
[Note. Not the same hole the girls were looking in.]
I saw two girls and a guy.
One of the girls looked like she was the boy's sister. I'm guessing the other girl was her friend. They were on their knees in the grass. And the boy was standing up. Were the girls looking through the fence. Were they looking at me?
They looked freaked to see the boy there. Both the girls stood up. I looked more closely at the girl who looked like the boy's sister.
She was gorgeous.

And that's when it hit me. From the moment I first saw her, I knew I had to know her name...
"I love Chicago..." I said to mysef.
