"I really didn't have a choice. Josh dragged me here." I said poking Josh.
Josh just stood there smiling, very pleased with himself.
"Well do you want a drink before you talk to you-know-who?" Dico asked.
"Please!" I said excited.
They just laughed at my quick response and we headed down to the Pirate Bar.
3 beers later, I was finally relaxed and smiling.
"Uhh, Bug. I think you should go now..." Josh said.
I sighed, but nodded.
I drug my feet up the flight of stairs and slowly knocked on the door.
"Go away." Bam's voice was more raspy then usual.
"Uhh. Bam? It's June." I said softly playing with my fingers.
I heard the floor boards creek, and Bam unlocking his lock.
Bam opened the door in his black pajama pants and no shirt.
His hair was more messy than usual, and his eyes were slightly blood shot.
"Come in." Bam said quietly, and opened the door further.
I nodded and sat down on his bed.
"What are you doing here?" Bam said sitting next to me.
"I heard you weren't talking to any of the guys, you haven't eaten yet, and you've been in this dark room all day. Are you alright?" I asked not making eye contact.
"No." Bam said quickly.
"What's wrong then?" I asked.
"June, when I said I just wanted to be friends, I didn't mean it. I like you so much, it's just hard for me." Bam said.
"Yeah, it's hard for me too." I said still looking at the floor.
"It's just when I found Missy cheating on me, I felt like I couldn't trust anyone again, and I don't want to get hurt again." Bam said.
"Yeah, I know how you feel." I mumbled.
"That's just another reason why you're so amazing." Bam said smirking slightly.
"Bam...I think we should just be friends." I said softly.
"Ummm..." Bam said not really knowing what else to say.
"Well at least let's go back to how it normally was. Then we can see if anything happens." I said.
Bam just looked at my not really knowing what to say.
"Bam, I don't want to get hurt again, and I need to make sure I really like you before I fall for you." I said
"Okay. I can wait." Bam said smirking again.
This time I actually looked up, to see he was already staring at me.
"Can I kiss you one more time before we go back to how things were?" Bam asked looking deep in my eyes.
I actually smiled and nodded.
Bam leaned into me, and softly placed his lips onto mine.
The kiss was so sweet, and caring.
Bam didn't try any of the usual demanding ways, but pulled away and smiled.
He held out his hand, "Friends?" Bam asked.
I smiled, "Friends." I said shaking his hand.
Bam gave me a hug, and we both walked out the door.
"There's he is!" Dico said.
Bam just smiled weakly and got a beer.
"How did it go?" Josh whispered to me when I sat down.
"I'll tell you later." I whispered back.
The room was full of awkwardness and hesitation.
"Does anyone want to do anything tonight?" Dico asked a little unsure if he was suppose to talk now or not.
"What would we do?" Johnny asked.
Dico just smiled like a little boy, and shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe, me and Bug should get going, we do have work tomorrow." Josh said standing up.
Josh always did know when I felt uncomfortable, and would try to get my out.
The guys just nodded.
I hugged Johnny first, and he picked me off the ground a little which made me smile.
Dico gave me a great big bear hug.
And finally Bam gave me a real tight hug that lasted a little bit longer than the other guys'.
Me and Josh walked out the door, and back to the car.
"Thanks for getting me out of there." I said when I sat down in the car.
"No problemo girlfriend!" Josh said in his girly voice again.
I just smiled at him.
"Okay, tell me what happened." Josh demanded.
I told Josh the whole story, and by the time I was done, we were back at our apartment complex.
"You sure that's the smart thing to do?" Josh asked in the elevator.
"I think so. If I do like him as much as I thought I did, something will happen between us, but I guess all we can do is wait till then." I said stepping out of the elevator and next to my door.
Josh nodded, gave me a hug, and walked into his apartment.
As I was finally done getting ready for bed, I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling.
He was on my mind...
