At that I was under a spell. "Well I guess you know a lot about me." I said calmly. "Ella," he paused to grab strange leaves and a few other odd looking plants "I know everything that's happened to you since your birth." I was quite shocked by this but swallowed and spoke. "Well then let's hear about you." I said shifting. He then spoke clearly. "Well my father crafted wood as a living. No one could ever dream of attempting his breathtaking work." I could just imagine beautiful curls and birds sitting on them gently carved into wood as he spoke. "And he was the richest man in the continent. Scotland that is." I came in, "So that's the accent." I then blushed a little. "Yes," he went on, "But money didn't matter to him at all. But things got even better when he met my mother. She had the most amazing personality. She was stunning. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. She looked just like you. Except the hair. In the words of my father, she had pure golden curls, pale angelic skin, and big brown eyes with flecks of copper." he paused and looked deep into my eyes. "Just like yours." His hand caressed my cheek ever so gently. He continued, "With the same adorable freckles and stunning rosy cheeks." I blushed making my cheeks even rosier. "But then cancer struck her heart. Killing her quickly. Never had I seen her so pale. That night my father shot himself where it hurt most." It was amazing that the tension was so light for him that he could put on a pot of boiling water in a bowl from his pack. "His heart." He tossed the strange plants in the pot turning it a very deep brown. He began adding powders and liquids he ground up and drained. " He loved her so much. 'I'm sorry' he said that night. 'I need to be with her.' I was only five then. I didn't understand him. Then I heard the gun shot and ran to his room. I held his body and cried all night." That gave me tears in my eyes. With a lump in my throat I spoke as he stirred his mixture [Might I add that it was looking exquisitely delicious] "That must have been horrible to be alone." My voice quivered. He took two mugs out of his pack and poured some of the liquid in them. "Try it." he said handing a cup to me. "It was devastating. I was so afraid." I took a sip. It tasted like chocolate! I had only had chocolate once in my life. It was amazing! "But then he came for me, the vampire. He made me one of them. So that was it, vampire at five." He took a sip of his drink. "By the way I haven't told you, my name is Jon." He said like he was silly not to mention it. "I'd like to take you to a masquerade. Obviously masks will be mandatory. I loved the idea so I spoke how I felt. "I think that would be exquisite."
