[SP\GC] God Must LOVE Me [Intro + One]

Created by Merlot6 on Tuesday, February 07, 2006

2/15/05 - I feel like I owe all my fans a big one because of the tremendous support I've recieved towards the tragedy I've been going through. PLEASE read the intro - I wrote this before what happened. I also split up the first chapter into two chapters because it was so long. I decided not to include Billie Joe from Green Day. This does not mean I will stop my other David series because I love it to pieces - I do not know how often I will update this and I wasn't planning on releasing it yet, but I really feel my fans deserve it, so enjoy and rate high please =)

Message from Merlot6: (If you don't read this - your loss.) First of all this isn't a 'you' story - (sorry) and I'm
using my own name for the character (again) - well, because I can =). The story won't be an accurate reflection of the lives of the
members
(obviously) and it won't have all ten band members be the main characters but all will make appearances. This is a
highschool story. It's not specifically a one-guy story cause I don't have the whole thing worked out and I can't say
anymore so you'll just have to read to find out the rest XD

Monday, August 21, 7:00 PM - On the Plane

"Benji fell asleep again," Billy, one of my best friends, whined from the seat behind me.

"So?" I said, fidgeting with my CD Player - damn thing kept replaying the same song over and over.

"He's snoring." Billy stated, with a hint of annoyance in his tone.

"Alright, alright, I'll switch seats with you..." I said, standing up.

"How much longer 'till we get to Montreal anyway?" Billy asked me as we settled into our new seats.

"I dunno. How long have we been airbourne?"

"Did you just say airbourne?"

"I think I did. I've been trying to improve my vocabulary I think, you know so them Canadians will think we're smart folk," I said, the
last part in a hilly-billy accent. Billy laughed.

"I can't believe we're actually doing this - I mean, we're actually doing this!"

"I know - it's so trippy, but I think we're lucky." I said, giving up on my CD player. I took the headphones off and set them down in
my lap. "I mean, how many people actually get to spend a year of highschool in a different country? Man, foreign exchange rocks."

"Does Canada really count as a different country? I mean come on, does it really?" Billy said. I smiled - Billy was always making fun
of Canada. I don't think he ever really had a real reason, I think he just thought it was fun.

"Well we're not going to Canada Canada, we're going to French Canada - We watched a movie on Quebec in my French class,
apparantly, the old city happens to be the closest thing to an actual France French town in the whole world."

"Whoopee. We might as well have gone to France. Is it a problem that I don't know any French?" Billy turned around to face
me.

"I doubt it - since most of the people you'll meet probably speak English - including your host family. Who'd you get by the
way?"

"Are we in France yet?" Benji mumbled, waking up.

"We're not going to France..." I said.

"France, Canada, it's all the same." Benji said, slightly sitting up. "Wait a minute, were you sitting here before?"

"Uh..Sebastien Lefrenchfry - err, Lebenon - Leverbun - fuck it I can't even read his last name right." Billy said, reading off the packet
we got telling us about our host families, the school we were going to and the city. "You?"

"I got some dude named Pierre - haha, can you get anymore French than that?" Benji said. "Haha, Pierre Bouvier. Haha."

"Apparantly not," I said, reading my own packet.

"Didn't they get you a guy also?" Billy said. "Cause they ran out of girls in the program?"

"Ha yeah, they did, but it's only cause my uncle made a "generous contribution" to the program, otherwise they wouldn't let me in."
I said.

"Wow, so this must mean you really wanna do this, huh?" Billy said.

"Yep, and plus, whoever this David guy is might be a hottie - so, I won't be doing any complaining." I said, skimming through some
of the information.

"You are such a chick," Billy said, rolling his eyes. I shrugged my shoulders grinning.

10:00 PM - In the Terminal

The three of us walked together towards the exit - or entrance, whichever way you were going of the gate terminal, not exactly sure
where we were supposed to go, or what we were supposed to be looking for. Up ahead, we first spotted a family of four - a woman
and a man, a really cute guy who looked our age and a little girl.

"That's me," Benji said.

"How do you know?" I asked, giving him a look.

"There's a picture of your host family in the back of your packet," He said. Wow. He actually looked through it.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" I said, now feeling like a complete idiot. Benji just smiled.

"Alright man, see you at school I guess," he said to Billy and the hugged eachother. Benji then turned to me and hugged me also,
kissing me on the cheek.

"Be good Benji, they're innocent people..." I said. He smiled and turned around, heading towards his host family - the Bouviers.
"Ugh," I groaned, getting out my packet from my bag. I hastily flipped through it, looking for a picture.

"Found them," Billy said. I turned towards him. He gave me a tight hug. I think I was going to miss him - even if we were going to
see eachother at school in a week.

"Have fun with the Lefrenchfries." I said, chuckling a bit. He smiled and walked away. I turned back to my packet and finally found
the picture - a little blurred, but I could tell it was a woman and a man, and their son - who was David most likely. At first glance he
definitly caught my eye - the eyeliner, the nose piercing, the faux hawk. He kinda reminded me of Benji in a way. I think I got really
lucky that way. I stuffed the packet back in my bag and swung it over my shoulder.

"Quelle facon est la salle de bains madame?" (Which way is the bathroom ma'am?) I heard from my left. I turned and saw some old
woman talking to an airport official. Wow, real French spoken by real people for real, right in front of me. In French class we just
used tapes and videos - now I knew; it was nothing compared to actual conversing by Natives of the language. I was truly
fascinated. I turned in a different direction and - there he was. Atleast it looked like him. David, that is. He had the faux hawk, the
piercing, not so much eyeliner though. He wore green baggy shorts, a white t-shirt and white and black checkered shoes with
white socks. Okay, so Benji wasn't really that much like him - but still, I could definitly be reminded of one by the other. I slowly
walked up to him - he was alone though, the man and the woman in the picture weren't there.

"Uh hi, are you David Desrosiers?" I said, knowing that I totally pronounced his last name wrong. He smiled - I think at my
pronounciation. "...and if you are, I apologize for that, I'll learn it."

"You're Angelica Ballod?" he said. Oh god he was cute when he smiled. I felt like a little 9 year old crushing on her 16 year old
sister's boyfriend. Except I was the one who was 16, and I didn't have a sister, and I wasn't exactly crushing.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"My parents wanted to be here, but they're both away on a business trip this week - they're really sorry," He said.

"Oh that's okay, I'll just meet them when I get back," I said, smiling. He nodded and began leading me down the airport. "So no
brothers and sisters, huh?"

"Nope. I'm all alone this week - well, I mean I guess not anymore, but - you know what I mean, right?"

"Yeah." I said.

"I don't have any either."

"I usually hang out with my friends - but most of them are also hosting foreign exchange students, so they kinda have to spend
their week with them too."

"Oh really? My friends are also getting hosted here! Do you know, erm...ah, right, Pierre Bovine or something?" David
laughed.

"Yeah - Bouvier is a close friend. Who is he hosting?"

"My friend Benji. My other friend Billy - oh god he has the worst Canada jokes, he is getting hosted by," I paused to think. "Mozart!
No wait, Beethoven? Ugh, I know it's one of them, Wolfgang - err, no, that's not it, Puccini - no it's not that one, Lebensraum - no
that's German, uh.. Bach - oh yeah! Sebastien Le-something." I said, proud of myself. David just smiled, chuckling a bit.

"You're a funny girl," he said. I shrugged. "I'm friends with Sebastien. The three of us are in a band with two other guys - Chuck and
Jeff."

"That's cool - same with Billy and Benji, but I guess they're band is kinda on hold for the year," I said as we approached baggage
claim. "There!" I said, pointing to a group of luggage. I pulled off the conveyer belt my big yellow duffel, my black rolly luggage
case, a smaller rolly luggage case and another black duffel.

"I'll get these," David said, lifting up my two duffels. "Since you don't have to carry the other ones,"

"Thanks." I said, grinning. "I actually expected to bring more - I mean, 9 months is a hell of a long time," I said. "But when I actually
packed my stuff - I realized, I don't actually need to be cluttering someone else's house with things I'll probably never use." David
laughed. "Plus it's not like I couldn't buy something if I needed it, right? I mean, my parents didn't give me money for nothing," and
then I realized I was rambling, so I stopped.

Please, I beg you all to rate a 5 - I worked very hard on this. Thanks =)
