Love Type Thing I1I Damn Sisters
Chapter 7 : Love Type Thing I7I Jess Vs. Bam
"Drink? Drink? Drink?" Bam asked, popping up right next to everyone, forcing his homemade concoction on unsuspecting persons. I sighed, watching the rain pound the bus windows furiously. Bam resorted to his seat next to me, a frown on his face. It was all I could do not to laugh. He just looked so stupid. I drifted off, leaning my head against the rainy window. Just as I began dreaming about lambs and bears, my cell phone rang like a blowhorn. I shrieked, actually jumping out of my seat.
"What?" I barked, so not in the mood for phone calls.
Bam's voice came from the other end. "Are you okay?" It wasn't until then I noticed he was no longer in the seat beside me.
"Um, I'm fine. Bam, where are you?" I asked, looking around for him.
"That's..uh..that's really not important right now. You're not very chipper.."
I grumbled. "I'm tired, Bam."
"Then go to sleep."
"I can't. You're keeping me up." I rolled my eyes, closing the phone and snuggling down to try and get some sleep.
"You know there are beds?"
I glared at the window. "What the fuck is it with everyone waking me up?!"
"Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid, STUPID Meagan!" I growled, banging my head on the window.
"Whoa, Meggo, self abuse is so not sexy." Jess joked, taking my hand. "And you're not stupid. Far from it actually."
I smiled, giving him a small kiss. "Keep trying, but I won't go out with you." I winked.
"Anyway," He moved himself into the seat. "What're you banging your head about? Are we having a Quiet Riot moment here?"
"I wish." I laughed. "This is going to sound incredibly retarded. I don't just bang my head for no reason, you know. At least not in public."
"What, Meg?" He laughed, waiting for me to stop rambling.
I shrugged. "I just realized where I've seen Ville from?"
"Meggo, you did know he was the Ville Valo.." Jess asked, bemused.
"Now I do?" I winced. "I know, I'm such a flake." I frowned. "I should really go talk to him." I felt Jess tug on my arm.
He stood up, close enough to feel his breath. "So when are you going to admit it?"
"Admit what, Jessica?" I winked.
He blushed, looking aside. He found some courage under the layers of jokes he built up between us and stroked my cheek, moving in for another kiss. Our lips were barely touching for a moment before I could feel eyes on me. "Bam."
"I hate you, Jess. I hate you so much! You're such a fucking liar!" He yelled, storming to the far end of the bus, away from Jess.
"Should..should I go after him?" I asked out loud to myself.
Jess didn't say anything. He just rubbed my back, giving me another awe-filled kiss that nearly buckled my knees and leaving me to deal with Bam. I took a deep breath and headed towards the bunks. "Go away." He said sharply.
"Bam..I.." It's not like I knew what to say. Why does he have the right to be mad in the first place? I'm allowed to sex up whomever I please. This is the 21st century goddamnit! But still.. "I'm sorry, okay?" I motioned to the spot next to him. "Can I sit?"
"Whatever."
All the sudden the words came. The only other person who'd experienced this Meagan was the Ville Valo. And even he was shocked. "Have you ever written a love song, Brandon?"
His head turned to me, confused. "A love song?"
"You know, those ones that make your heart pound. There's always that one chord, that chorus that just makes you pine for that person. It overwhelms you and forces you to forget all the obstacles people in love have to go through." I sighed, he didn't seem to be understanding me. "Bam, I don't know how I feel about Jess yet, alright? We're not-" I faltered, it was hard to admit it. "We're not too close, you know. I'd really like to get to know you. The you no one else sees. I know Bam, but I'd really like to be friends with Brandon?"
"Meagan.."
I got to my feet, heading back to my seat. "It's Meg, Bam." I gave him a small smile and a gentle wink. "I'll see you tomorrow."
