21 year old Heather skipped down the street, flipping her silky brown hair out of her face. She was walking home, excuse me, skipping home from her job at the local hair and nail salon. She had just been given a few weeks of summer vacation because they had lots of part time students helping out over the summer, and Heather had always been a loyal worker at the salon so she was one of the first to get the vacation. She enjoyed taking care of people and making them appear prettier. Now, Heather wasn't the kind of gal who thought that you had to get dolled up just to look good, but she fully believed in taking care of your hair and nails properly. Some of the things she saw in there when inexperienced people came in were just horrid! Think along the lines of never clipped or cleaned nails and major spilt ends. Anyways, Heather was away from that for a few steamy weeks of July in good ol' PA. Ok, Heather admits Pennsylvania is maybe just a bit too "old" at times and would like to move some place else in the future, but at the moment she was perfectly happy with her life, involving her family, friends and the local collage at which she was studying to be a fashion and style major. She couldn't wait to get home and look into going to see her all time favorite band in concert near by. She was lost in thought and almost didn't catch sight of what it said on a large bus passing her…she read it... and she almost fainted. It was a tour bus for If BB Died, they were in her town, she couldn't believe it. This was the band she absolutely idolized. Sprinting after it she tried to see where it was headed, but even without heals there was no way she could keep up with a moving bus. Heather sighed with a frown taking over her previous excitement. The bus was driving away, probably just passing through. She scoffed at her small hopes that they would actually be stopping in this little town. Glaring at the ground she started to trudge home and saw an extraordinary site at the corner of her eye. Jerking her head up, she gazed as the bus came to a halt and started backing up. It didn't stop until it was right next to her and Heather was gasping for breaths, trying to stay calm. If BB Died was RIGHT THERE! Between a small wall of bus, and they came back to see her!! Heather squealed inside.
"Hey, you the insane girl trying to out run a bus?" a smirking face popped his head out the door. It was the one, the only, Dan, lead singer of the band. And Heather screamed. She knew she was acting like a crazy fan girl but hey, lets face it, she was.
"Ahem, I mean, yes, that was me," she tried to control herself and offered a wide smile.
"Well, we're passing through, would you like a ride?" he stepped aside to open up the door way. Heather almost fainted again, and when she didn't she almost screamed… again. She quickly scurried into the bus and peered around eagerly. The rest of the band was lounging on the couches, all with slightly amused faces that they had just picked up such an excited fan. Heather stood in the room and stared at them. She couldn’t believe they were actually right here, in front of her eyes in the very same room, on their bus! If BB Died all looked so amazing in her eyes. Imagination time, ready? Ok, close your eyes, and picture your favorite, hottest, cutest, band and/or band members. Yes it can be a mix of people from different bands. I'll give you a few moments ….. Got it? That’s what they look like. Pretty nice huh? I'm sure you think so, 'cause you're the one who thought them up.
"Hey everyone! I'm Heather. Thank you so much for the ride, this means so much to me. I love you're music." She bounced over to the couch and sat down in an empty spot right next to Al, the keyboardist. Ellery was the drummer, Conner on guitar, Blake playing base and Dan was the lead singer of If BB Died. After she told them her address she tried not to be acting like the freak fan she was and scare them off.
"Wow you really are excited to be with us, huh?" Al gave her a friendly pat on the shoulder. Heather sheepishly nodded.
"Who's your favorite out of us?" Conner eagerly leaned forward.
"Hey! That's not fair! You expect me to choose? And with you all here?" Heather huffed.
"Ok, ok, if you answer that question as best you can, then you can ask us any question,"
"Now hold up," Dan sat down on the other side of Heather, "You mean she gets to ask you any question, not us, we weren’t the ones asking the question,"
"That's only fair," Ellery agreed.
"I'll only agree to that if I get to ask Conner two questions," Heather argued and got nods from everyone, looking at her amused for an answer. "Weeeeell…." She drew it out thinking, "I'd have to say Dan, because his voice his amazing! But I also love all the music you guys make, and the lyrics, ahh! It's so hard to choose," Heather threw her hands up and slumped back into the couch.
"Oh don't look so smug," Al reached over Heather and lightly punched him.
Heather grinned evilly at a scared looking Conner "Now time for my questions,"
He gulped, "What…" dramatic pause, "is your favorite color!?" she raised her voice in an accent trying to copy Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Never seen it? Go, right now, watch it. Everyone stared and blinked at her for a few moments then broke into laughter. Conner tapped his chin and pondered,
"Red, no blue, aahhhh!!" Heather started punching him for his lack of a direct and sure answer. (No really, if you didn't get that, go get the movie)
"Fine fine!" Conner laughed trying to stop her, "My favorite color is a slate blue-gray,"
"Can I save my last question for later? When I've thought up a good one?" Heather asked and Conner agreed. Just then they pulled up to her house.
"Hey, would you like a free ticket to the upcoming concert and meet us after?" Dan suggested, "You seem like a pretty fun girl and I'd like to get to know you better. Conner also owes you a question now,"
"Yes!" Heather jumped up and screamed, "I mean, wow, yeah, that would be great thank you," Heather hugged him, and then made her rounds giving Conner, Al, and Ellery each a hug and a thank you. Blake, who is the bassist incase you forgot since he didn't say anything, had seemed to slip away unnoticed near the beginning. He always seems to be grumpy, Heather thought.
Athurs note:
Do you want to know where I got If BB Died from? Does [IFBB] look familier? I added the "Died" because thats the first thing that poped into my head... shows what my brain is like... (weird)
