While I was slept I dreamt about Tom... I saw his face, I was back at the death chamber in Urbs of Cruor. By the time I'd gotten to him his skin was burnt black, blistered and bleeding. I tried to wake up but I couldn't. Was I dead? Tom's face wouldn't leave my mind. I heard him screaming and under his screams were tears that burned his skin. Over and over again I felt my heart drop and I felt the pain I had felt when I realized that I wouldn't have been able to save him. I thought I was in hell...

"Has she showed any signs of waking up yet?" I heard Andria's voice.

"No." A man's voice spoke.

"Maybe I should try to give her some of my blood. We need everyone we can get and blood would probably wake her up, it would give her strength."

"She's already drank the blood of several vampires and a wizard with vampire blood. We can't take that risk. With such powerful blood already and so soon I don't know what the consequences could be. And you're old, you've drank the blood of many criminals and it's not a great idea to pass that on to her."

"If she doesn't drink then she could be in this coma forever... It's already been a month. She saved my life and the lives of others."

"We'll think of something, Andria." I heard them about to exit the room.

"I'm in a coma? Please! Andria! Wake me up! I can't have these dreams anymore!" I screamed in my head hoping Andria would hear it.

"Father... I heard her. Roxanne is trapped." Andria and her father came back in where I was trapped in bed.

"Okay... Give her some of your blood. But only enough to wake her." Andria's father gave in. Minuetes after I could smell blood. Vampires blood, Andria's blood. As it hit my lips Tom's face slowly disapeared. Everything turned black then white then red. I opened my eyes and saw Andria's wrist at my mouth. Feeling returned to my body and the vision to my eyes. I could feel the blood restoring my body and mind. "That's enough. You can take her out to hunt and when you get back bring her to me. She probably has a lot of questions." Andria withrew her wrist.

"Thank you." I managed to say weakly.

"Okay father." A grey haired man with strong features but a seemingly kind face exited the room. Andria's father I assumed. Andria helped me out of bed and helped me walk until I started to gain control.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"Don't worry about that now. My father will answer all of your questions when we return. For now we just need to get you something to eat." Andria teleported us out of the building we were in and we appeared in a city I was unfailiar with. The smell of humans was powerful and my hunger turned into pain. We walked as I searched for a criminal. After walking about a mile it was getting late and people were leaving the streets. I spotted a man walking into a dark alley. "I'll be back..." I gave Andria a slight smile and followed the man quietly behind him, watching him. He reached into his coat and pulled out a womans purse. He dug through the purse until he found the cash and credit cards. After discarding the rest he continued walking.

"Excuse me sir..." I said "I'm a little lost. Could you help me?"

"No I can't." He responded without turning arround. His name was Peter but his friends called him PJ.

"Please..." After Peter picked up his pace without replying I decided to give him one more chance to answer me. "Peter, I think you dropped something." He turned arround and pulled out a gun and aimed it at me. "Do you really think that's going to scare me?" I walked toward him as he started shaking out of fear. Only a few steps away from him he dropped the gun and started to run but before he could I had him in my arms and I was drinking his blood. When I was done I was fully healed and my body was back to normal. I left the alley and returned to Andria's side so she could take us back.
We appeared in a large office. "Well, this is my father's office. He should be in here any minuete now. He's been dying to talk to you. If you want I can wait here until he comes."

"No, that's okay. What's the date today?"

"Yeah, it's July 9th." As Andria was leaving the office her father walked in.

"Ah, Roxanne. I'm Adam, Andria's father." He reached out his hand to shake mine. " We have a lot that we need to discuss. I know you've been through quite a bit and I'm sure you have plenty of questions for me so why don't you ask away." Adam had a kind tone in his voice. I was hesitant about trusting any vampires but I wasn't in the position to be picky. "Here take a seat" Adam gestured to the chair infront of his desk as he sat down behind the desk.

"First of all where's Kyle?" I asked.

"He's being taken care of in our nursery. He was quite ill when you all excaped from the prison in Urbs of Cruor. You may see him later if you wish." Adam sat patienly with his hands on his desk waiting for me to ask the next question.

"Tell me about Jarrod. Why was he so powerful and why..."
Read on! The rest is in the results as usual.

"One question at a time." Adam interupted half laughing. "Jarrord was a wizard with vampire blood. His mother had been a witch. She used to fight on our side accually. She was captured by Jarrod's father who was a vampire. He raped her and tourtured her until she excaped and learned she learned that she was pregnant. Vampires can't have children but witches can. We tried to talk her out of having the child but she wouldn't listen. When Jarrod was born he didn't show any signs of his fathers genes or vampiric blood. All of his powers were those of a wizard. When he reached his mid twenties he bacame sensitive to light and eventually he was completely unable to go into the sun and he stopped aging. He started sneaking arround and drinking blood although he didn't need it and he was misusing his powers. His mother confronted him about it and he killed her.

"Jarrod didn't have any vampire powers. He couldn't fly, he didn't have our mind reading, soul searching skills. He didn't have our vampire sences or our vampire strength. He only had the vampire blood structure, sensitivity to fire or sunlight and fangs."

"So if you drink the blood of a witch or wizard you have their powers?"

"No. Vampire blood is very comlicated. When you died so did most parts of your brain and your organs. The vampire blood stores your memories, it stores your powers... You're blood is you, it's what keeps you alive and that's why when vampire blood boils it's cells die and so do you. Because Jarrod slowly developed the blood of a vampire his wizard powers were stored in his blood. Witches and wizards powers are in a certain part of the brain, a part that vampires don't have. When Jarrod's vampiric genes started to take over his powers were somehow transfered to his blood. That's why you're now able to use his powers."

"Why didn't Jarrod kill me when I mistook him for a human? Why didn't I see him for what he was?"

"Vampires are unable to read witches and wizards for what they are. They're just like humans... with extrordinary powers. You took him off gaurd. Because he doesn't have the powers of a vampire he wasn't able to see you for what you were until it was too late. Is any of this making sence to you?"

"Yeah except you said that vampires can't have kids. Isn't Andria your daughter?"

"Now we're getting a little off topic but I'll answer you anyways. When I was still a mortal, about 300 years ago, my wife was pregnant with Andria. I was killed but I continued to watch over my family. Andria's mother was killed by a vampire when Andria was 13. She stayed with me for a year and when she figured out what I was we talked about it and I told her that if she wanted my powers she only had to ask. One night shortly after that I came back a bloody mess and that's when Andria learned about the war. A few days later she decided she wanted to fight it with me."

"This is kind of embarassing but sometimes when Tom and I would make love we'd drink each others blood. Jarrod was my first kill, well, you know what I mean. Anyways, Tom had drank my blood after that... Does that mean that Tom had the powers of a wizard?"

"Yes. It does. Was Tom your creator?"

"Yeah, he was my only friend and..." I held up my hand showing Adam the ring. "Eventually we became very close."

"What happened to him?"

"He was one of the vampires that I couldn't save from the prison... He's dead."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sorry I asked." Adam clapped his hands together and flashed me a quick akward smile. "Well, do you have any other questions?"

"Where are we?"

"Ever heard of the Bermuda Triangle?"

"Yeah. What about it?"

"That's where we are. We're on an island inside the Bermuda Triange. A very powerful wizard cast a spell on this part of the Atlantic ocean after we discoved this island. We needed a place to hide." The only way to leave or return is by teleporting. You can't try to fly away from here. You'll disapear just like the boats and the planes and the vampires from Urbs of Cruor who've attempted to travel though or above these waters. Andria had probably taken you to Fort Lauderdale to hunt. There's a lot of criminals there." Adam stopped and checked the clock on the wall behind the chair where I sat. "The sun will be coming up soon. I'll show you to your room and you can shower then get to bed. Tomarrow I'll send Andria to your room and she'll show you arround our city. When your comfortable we'll discuss the war."

Adam got up from his chair and walked ahead of me out of the office. We walked through several corriders and passed many doors before we got to the one he said would be mine. I wondered how many vampires lived here.

"I'll leave you to rest now. Make yourself at home."

"Thank you." I said but when I turned arround Adam was gone. I entered the room. It was a decent size. It had it's own private bathroom and a giant closet. The walls were blank and there were no windows. The furniture was ordinary, nothing special to it. I had a queen size bed, two nightstands and a desk. I really wanted a cigarrette but I didn't have any so I just took a shower anyways. After I was done it felt as if I had never even come close to death.

Since I had no cloths I used a little magic to dress myself comfortably. As I went to lie down in bed I realized that the bed was big and it was just me. Tom wasn't there. I missed him and I hated myself for not saving him. He should've been the first one I saved. If I had told him about Jarrod's wizard powers and that I could use them and that he probably could too he'd probably still be alive. I hated myself. I was weak but part of me still loved him.

"Good bye Tom... I love you. I'm so sorry"

I cried myself to sleep and even in my sleep I thought of Tom.
