Mind Over Him

“You want something to eat? I got sandwichs. I can get you one.” John said, a little calmer.

“Sure.” I half mumbled have sighed.

“Alright.” he got up, pushed the chair back, and went through the door Jer went through to get his sandwichs.

I waited for a moment, staring at the door. Minutes later, John came out .. empty handed.

He started talking to Jer, and it started to get heated. John was fling his hands this way and that, and


Jer’s face was getting pretty red. I couldnt see John’s, but I imagine his was red too.

I wonder what it was like at home. My parents, were they still sleeping? Have they noticed I was gone?
Did they worry about me?!?

I dont know what time it was, or how much time had passed. Would they think that I went somewhere? Like to a friends house? What if they thought I just left them?

No. They know I love them to much to just leave and lose contact.

Right?

I started to cry. John and Jer both stopped argueing and looked my way, but I didnt care.

I just wanted to go home.
