Dear James,

My father was at it again today. It's horrible. And this time, I made the mistake of shouting back. He slapped me hard across the face, and now my head hurts whenever I move it.

It's got worse as well. At school, my friends are fed up of me, being too much of a wimp, as they put it. I can't tell them about home. I just can't. They won't give me sympathy. There's nothing I can do. I have to get away from it. What do I do?
