Sincerely, your immortal (1)
Chapter 6 : Sincerely, your immortal (4)
Ha! I think this is a bit longer than the other one's. Hope you like it because the good stuff is coming soon!!
I rested my head on the table, cheek-flatand in a whiney voice I said, "Why do we have library for first period?"
"Why did you repeated that for the tenth time when I told you to stop?" Vince said, annoyed.
"I don't know" I said in a whiney voice once again.
"Shhh!" the librarian told us.
"I hate Ms.Wheeler" I whispered.
Ms.Wheeler was in her early sixties and she was a grouchy mean old hag. Her cheeks were saggy and the lines around her mouth were visible and deep. She hadthree wrinkles on the corners of her eyes and she hd a big cotton ball for hair. Her eyes were dark brown, almost black... She's just plain old. And mean.
Vincent and I are the only one's who have library in this period and she won't let us at least whisper.
"What do we have after this?" I whispered.
"English" he replied.
I groaned.
Vince and I have every class together which is a good thing because whaenever I'm round Vince. I never get thirsty. I'm always calm. I feel some what human around me. If Vince wasn't any of my classes and I was surrounded by all humans, I'd get too hungry.
"Vincy?" I said in a baby tone.
"Mmmm?"
"Do you think I'll ever met another vampire?"
"Yeah"
"When?"
"I don't know. Maybe today" by his tone, I could tell he shrugged.
"Are you sure your not one?"
"Positive?"
"You look like one though"
"But I'm not"
"Awww" I said in disappointment. "You suck"
He chuckled lightly.
"There's a holloween dance in two days" I informed him.
"Yeah, I know"
"Wanna go with me? As friends of course"
"Suuure. Why not?"
"Yay! Now I'm not the only one in my house who doesn't have a date" I cheered quietly.
"I'm bored" Vincent sighed and from the corner of my eye, he rested his head on the table.
I moved my head my head so now my chin rested on the table. Vincent did the same after two minutes.
"Can you hear my heart beat?" Vince asked me.
"Yeah"
"What pace is it going at?" he asked.
I focused on the silence and put all my energy into my hearing. I heard Vincent's and...Only Vincent's...? I shouldn't be hearing onlyhis heartbeat. I should be hearing the old hags too.
I furrowed my brows and sat straight as I turned my head over to Ms.Wheeler's desk.
Shewasn't there and the creepy thingwas tht she wasn't in the library either. Did she leave? No. Ms.Wheeler never leaves the library unless she had to go to the bathroom or fill her coffee mug up with coffee. But her coffee mug was filled because I could see smoke coming from the mug, and she rarely goes to the bathroom...
Maybe she did... I'll give her five minutes.
"What's wrong?" Vincent asked. I scanned the front desk one last timeand looked back at Vince.
"Nothing, it's just..." I dropped my eyes to the table and shook my head.
"What?" he asked.
"It's Ms.Wheeler. She's not here" I whispered, sounding puzzled.
Vincent looked over at her desk and he searched the library with his eyes. "Your right, she's not" he whispered.
"I know, she's proably at thebathroom" I said.
"Maybe" he said....
I looked at the clock and it's been sevenminutes. I concentrated on the silence and still no heartbeat. Vincent is the only one and it's going at a steady pace but other than that, there's no one else in here.
Ms.Wheeler never stays out this long. Is she having a critical bathroom crises orwhat?
"That's it" I said as I stood up.
"Where are you going?" Vince asked, worried.
"To the bathroom" Isaid, walking away. "Stay here,Vincent" Itold him.
"But, Ames..." he said, trying to convince me but he knew it was hopeless. If I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it. No one can stop me, besides, I got to know where's Ms.Wheeler.
I powered walk through the halls to go to the nearest bathroomwhich was past theoffice and around the corner.
I put myself aginst the wall, and I took a peekin theoffice. They were busy,as always, and it seems that they were busy talking to boy who I already knew was a new student. I ran past the office nd looked back to see if anyone was behind me. No one was there so I started to run to the girls bathroom that was only a few feetaway.
I walked into the bathroom and began to look in all the stalls.
They were all empy.
No, I'm freaked out. Because if sheback to the library then I would have crossed paths and... She would have yelled at me for not asking her permissionto leave.
I checked in all the girls bathroom and so far, I had found no lady. Could she have been stupid and go in the boys bathroom? No, she can't be that.... Maybe she is.
I walked over to the boys bathroom and looked over at every stall. Nope she's not stupid enough to go in here. Maybe she did go back to the library. Oh well, might as well go back as a failure.
Before I left the boys bathroom, I turned on the sink and splash water on myface. I grabbed paper towels and dried my face off and there it happened...
