Ok, this is my first actual Wolf's Rain one shot. I hope you like it! And sorry for all those others who have requested. So very sorry its taking so long, but I've been sick for the past week and I'm having trouble coming up with ideas. Well, enjoy!
I re-adjusted the bag in my arms and took the key from my pocket, to unlock my door. Sighing once I had reached my kitchen, I turned to look at the clock. It was only two in the afternoon.
6 years, 2 months, 3 weeks, 1 day, 18 hours, 23 minutes, and 8 seconds it has been... I sighed once again and started putting up the food I had gotten, up.
Once done, I walked into my small bedroom and laid down, holding a picture frame, with a picture of Him and me. It's been years, exactly 6 years, 2 months, 3 weeks, 1 day, 18 hours, 58 minutes, and... 26 seconds, since I last saw the amazingly strong, hot, loving gray wolf. I myself was a gray wolf; coming from the same pack he was once in. I remembered the day he got that scar on his chest so freshly, like it was yesterday.
I needed fresh air. Now.

Sighing for the umpteenth time today, I sat on a park bench and pulled my jacket closer to my body. It was cold for only September weather. I wanted to run. I had to run. I needed to run. That was the only way to help heal my scar that I had gotten so long ago.
Looking around, no one was in the park that I was sitting in. I was free now. Free to run with no fears. As a wolf. Making my way to the forest that was located on the boarder of the small park, I jumped the fence and raced away. All my fears of dying, never seeing him again, and many other things were gone as the wind brushed against my silver fur.
"I'm hungry!"
"Well too bad. You have to wait till we get to the next town to eat something."
"Please stop fighting. We have to move quickly for Cheza, she needs water and sunlight!"
Upon hearing voices not to far away, I stopped my running and quietly made my way to a bush to look at the people I heard. Once to the brush,I peaked and was stunned at whatI saw. A white wolf, a red wolf, alight brown wolf, a woman with violet hair, and...Tsume?!
A gasp left my mouth, as I slowly started backing away.
"Who's there?!"
My pace didn't quicken, it only slowed. The light brown wolf poked it's head through the bush I was looking through and saw me.
"Hey guys! It's another wolf! And a girl at that..." he mumbled the last part to himself.
The white one came and looked at me himself. "Hi. I'm Kiba. That's Hige." He nodded toward the other wolf.
"I'm Toboe." a childish voice said, and the red wolf looked at me. "You kind look like..." he trailed off.
"Well? Who is it? What does it look-" Tsume stopped and stared at the wolf with green eyes.
My body was filled with hope again as I saw my old best friend.
"TSUME!" I shouted and jumped on him. I clung to him in my human form. He hadn't changed one bit since Ilast saw him years ago.
"Teishoku? Is that you?" I nodded my head. If I spoke, I don't know what I would say.
"Aw, man. She's already taken..." Hige pouted. I didn't look up. If I did, they would all see the blush spread across my face. But if I had, I would've seen the red on my friend's face.

"So, you guys need to find a town do ya?" The all nodded. I smiled and walked forward, back toward my city. "Follow me. There's a place you can eat only a mile or two from here. I have a apartment there." They followed with out any questions.
"Oke Dokie then. What would youall like? I just went to the store for food, so I'm all stocked up."
"Meat." I laughed at their response and went to the freezer. Pulling out a packet of hamburgers and steak, I put them on the grill out side on the balcony of my little home.
"Alright then. They'll be ready in a couple minutes. What can I get you Cheza?"
"This one would like water, please." I nodded and grabbed a cold water bottle from the fridge and handed it to her.
"So... what's with your green eyes, Teishoku?" Hige asked me.
"When I was born, I was captured after the humans killed my parents, and they experimented on me. Thus, I have gotten green eyes. When I was born, they were the regular gold, but changed over the time of all the serums they forced into my body." It was silent from then on...
"But at least I'm special in my own little way, because of that. At least you can pick me out of a crowd from that. Especially from my blue and green hair." I pointed to the weird colored hair on my human head. They laughed at that.
"So then... how is it that you know 'Mr. Grumpy' over there?" Hige jabbed his thumb in Tsume's way. I giggled at the name and started to speak.
"Around 6 1/2 years ago, Tsume and I were-"
"That's none of your business, Hige." The gray haired wolf growled. I guess he doesn't want them to know.
"It's not my place to tell if Mr. Grumpy doesn't want you to know."
Hige's nose went up in the air quickly and he sniffed something. "It smells like something's.... burning?" I quickly jumped up and ran to the grill. "My burgers!"
Five minutes later I came back with a plate full of slightly burnt burgers and steak. "He he... sorry about that. If they're not good just tell me, I'll make something else..." I trialed off as I watched the four boys inhale the meat I put before them. Laughing inwardly I sat back down next to Cheza and watch them.

"Well, I don't have much space, but you can sleep anywhere you like in my house. I'll find blankets for you somewhere." I scratched the back on my head after looking at the time on the clock. It was almost 9:30.
"I'll sleep with you..." Hige offered. But Tsume hit him over the head.
"No you won't! You're gonna sleep on the floor like the rest of us." He interjected.
"Yeah.. so when we're all asleep you can have her for yourself..." Mumbled the light brown haired teen.
A dark bush came across mine and Tsume's face.

It was quiet that night. Other then the snoring that came from Hige, that is. Glancing over at my alarm clock on my bedside table, I saw it was about 2 in the morning. I couldn't get any sleep. So many things were going through my head right now. So, I did what I always did when I couldn't sleep.
Opening the window that was located in my bedroom, I jumped up onto the roof of the apartment and sat on the edge, looking up at the moon and stars around it. The cold breeze of the night made me shiver. And as if on cue, a blanket was draped over my shoulders. Looking up, my eyes bet with Tsume's black ones.
"What are you doing out here so late, Teishoku?"
"Couldn't sleep. How about you, Mr. Grumpy?" I mocked him with Hige's nickname. After he growled lowly, he answered-
"Same." And sat down next to me.
There was a silence for awhile.
"Hey Tei?" I looked over at my friend and nodded for him to finish. "What did you do after... you know, I left?"
I knew the question was going to come up sooner or later. I really picked never.
"Well first, I screamed and said I was going to kill you with my bare claws when I saw you again." He winced at that. He knew I would do it without any hesitation. "Then... I went looking for you. After about two years, I gave up. Settled down in this little town and got a job at a library. Pays good money, so I kept it. And then.. here I am. Telling you this."
He nodded and kept looking at the stars. I did the same almost forgetting he was there.
"Remember before I left, what I said?"
I nodded sadly as I remembered that day oh so well.

"Teishoku! Get out of here!" Tsume yelled at me as he fought off the other wolves of our old pack.
"I'm not leaving without you, Tsume!" I cried out. That's when he got clawed at by the leader, that gave him the X mark on his chest. The others left after that. I ran quickly by his side and looked at his bleeding form.
"Tei...sho...ku?" He weakly opened his eyes to look into my bright green ones.
"Tsume!" I nuzzled into him, but felt him wince. "I'm so sorry..." I sobbed at him.
"Don't...be. Go." I shook my furry head in protest.
"Not without-" He cut me off.
"I said Go, damnit! I want those pups to be birthed properly!" I nodded before licking his cheek and running off. Never to see him for a long time.

"What happened to.. them?" He whispered.
"They died after about a month I left you. I know it was all my fault... If I had been paying attention..." I trailed off once I noticed I was in the warm embrace of Tsume. I didn't stop the tears that were in my eyes. I just let them fall freely.
"It's not your fault, Tei. If I had been there, it would have never happened." I only nodded and looked through my blurry eyes at the silver haired man beside me.
"You still love me, right?" I asked, whipping the tears away.
"I always have, and always will..." His lips crashed into mine, as I clung to his jacket.
Maybe he did leave a scar in my heart, but he was healing it, just as if it was never there...
