Have you ever had one of those days where everything that can go wrong will go wrong? Well today was one of those days.
Naruto had run off again. It had been a few year since Sasuke had run off to join Orichimaru and Naruto still hadn't recovered. When Naruto had heard that Sasuke was headed our way, he booked.
This is how I found myself chasing after him in the rain, the noise of fighting getting louder until it was over whelming. I tried to remind myself before I was seen, that the Sasuke I knew and loved had died a long time ago.
I watched from the treep tops as Naruto and Sasuke balanced ontop of the water, both getting ready for their final blow. As Sasuke preformed Chidori and Naruto Reisengin, the began running.
My body moved of its own accord. I knew I had to end this, all their fighting and rebuild their friendship.
Blood splattered to the water, forming murky pools as both young men looked suprised and slightly horrified.
The air rushed from my lungs as I coughed. "Y-yu-ri?" they both stuttered suprised.
"L-listen to me" I gasped, trying to breath. I knew there was no way I could recover from this so I had to make it quick. This would be my deathbed wish for them. They both moved to pull their hands from my body but I stopped them, using Chakra to keep myself ontop of the water. "Hold on" I said still trying to breath "Y-you two used to be best friends" I said intterupted by a cough "Now your trying to kill each other? What good would it be to tear eachother apart? I want-" I coughed up some blood wiping my mouth "I want you two to be friends again and quit fighting with eachother..." my voice faded, my eyes closing as my body began to become limp. "YURI NO!" they both yelled pulling their hands away, causing blood to begin to roll out of my body. "Don't leave me Yuri!" Sasuke said trying to stop the bleeding.
I chuckled, which sent waves of pain rippling through my abdomen.
"Don't worry Sasuke, my heart died a long time ago, now my soul is finally following after" I whispered.
The Chakra that was supporting me slowly disappated and I sunk under the water, hearing their desperate screams fade away. Two arms dragged me to the surface checking my pulse, trying to get me to breath. "Hold on Yuri, just hold on!" a voice cried. I couldn't tell which one of them it was.
A feathery sigh escaped my lips as I slipped away forever.
Sasuke held Yuri in his arms as she was bleeding out the two wounds in her upper body. She was such a fool, she died, died for them, for something that might never happen. Her words echoed through his head "My heart died a long time ago"
His eyes welled with tears "YURI!!!!"
The yell was heard even in Konohagakure, the agony in his voice as the one he loved, the one that saved him, died.
