-You Stab Me In All The Right Places-
Chapter 22 : -You Stab Me In All The Right Places- >22

Kendra rolled the tip of her index finger over the small tattoo on her wrist. For so many years she's tried to remove it a variation of ways; burning it away, cutting it away, scrubbing it away, but no matter what she did, it always remained glittery and blue and perfect.
Ryan was watching her from his perch and eyed with hesitation her wrist to which she was constantly rubbing and tracing over with her fingers. He couldn't get a good look at it, for she was curled in a ball in the corner of her prison.
"What are you looking at?" He finally managed to ask. Kendra jumped, startled, and casually showed him the tattoo.
"Just, something I've had forever…" She answered softly. She was busy still inspecting the tattoo to notice the stiffness suddenly controlling Ryan. He swallowed loudly and laced his hands together so tightly, that if it were a regular human, their fingers would've been crushed.
She has the mark… He whispered to himself over and over, trying not to rock in horror. The mark… He wanted to fatefully tell his master about the girl, but felt a guilty tug as he began to move. He didn't want anything to happen to her, she was so helpless and small.
He got comfortable on his perch again and watched Kendra pull her sleeve over her wrist, then with boredom, reach for it again. She smiled with an unknowing sly grin as she traced it, feeling over the smooth and silky skin of her wrist. It was strange how she never scarred, no matter how drastic her attempts of re-writing her tattoo were.
She has the mark… Ryan repeated once more to himself. His gut fizzed with something unknown to him. A nervous burp gurgled in his stomach and looked back to Kendra. Ryan took a deep breath, and as he exhaled, mumbled under his breath.
"She has the mark…of magic…"
