You know the typical story. Best friends fall in love, they become a couple. If you ever met me, you would know I am not the most typical person in the world. I am the second drummer in the family. I also tour with my brothers band, Panic at the disco. Yes, if you had any brain cells, you would know I am Selby Smith. Now you are probably laughing at the SS family. I have cursed them for all of my life for that. Now, I am friends with everyone on the tour. Some just a little closer. Yes, I do have a tad of a relationship with Ryan. In secret, of course. I think everyone knows, but Spencer.
Which leads me to now, Spencer is at the store. Ryan and I are glancing at each other. Brendon rolls his eyes and moves Jon out of the room. Ryan coughed once, Brendon coughed twice. The secret sign that everything is good, Ryan walked over too me.
“Hey, babe!” He wiggled his eyebrows at me. This returned a giggle. He sat down and moved me onto his lap. I wrapped my legs around his tiny, bony little waist. We wasted no time; we went straight to heavy kissing. The type where you know it’s going to go somewhere if not controlled. We cherished the moment while we were in it.
I heard a knock and a cough. We jumped off of each other. In my position, I fell right on my bottom. I looked at myself in the stove, make-up smeared, hair completely disheveled, shirt moved around. You should see Ryan. I ran to my bunk, while Ryan ran to the bathroom. I ran a hairbrush through my hair. It looked normal; my make-up was not coming off. By the time I got it off Spencer opened my curtain.
“Hey sleeping ugly. How was the day? Come out of your bunk. First, I want to talk to you.” My mind was racing. Did he know? Did he actually found out?
“What?” I asked nervously. Even if I was only two years apart from Ryan, Spencer would kill both of us.
“Are you and Ryan having a fight? This past month you have been avoiding each other. I mean, you guys are best friends.” I wanted to tell him, I sometimes blame myself.
“Were not friends anymore.” I added in my head, “We’re now dating.” He frowned and hugged me. He jumped down, and I jumped down next. Ryan was just getting out of the bathroom. Spencer started to walk away; I saw that Ryan had a lipstick mark on his neck. I pointed to my neck, and Ryan saw what I was talking about. He ran back into the bathroom. I followed Spencer into the living room. I decided that I was going to slowly tell Spencer what is happening. Ryan wanted too, but was too afraid.
“Spenc, I don’t know what to do. The guy I like doesn’t know I like him.” He turned around and faced me.
“Oh! Selby got a crushy! Ooooooooh. Who is it? Tell me Tell me Tell me!” He whined. I smiled.
“Well, I have known him a long time… Please don’t be mad.” He shook his head no, I leaned and whispered in his ear.
“Ryan…” He looked at my wide eyed.
“Are you kidding? Why him? I don’t want you to get hurt! I mean he is my best friend, but he treats woman like crap!” I frowned.
“I tell you one little thing, and you yell at me! I was trying to tell you my feelings, are you demolish them! I hate your girlfriend, but do you listen to me? No! I hate what you do sometimes!” I yelled at him. He looked hurt, but also angry.
“I am doing this to help you! He will be a shitty boyfriend! I am helping you there. I have seen the way he treats girls. You have to listen to me!” He yelled just as loud. I smacked him in the arm.
“I am going to do whatever I want. If I want him, I will get him.” He looked madder.
“Not if I have anything to do with it.” He yelled at me.
“That’s the point! You have nothing to do with it! It’s my love life. If I love him, you should respect me enough to let me love him!” I yelled. Ryan walked into the room with a scared look on his face. I found my opening.
“Ryan, would you go out with me?” Ryan looked at me weird. He smiled and nodded.
“Ryan, if you were really my best friend you would know I don’t want you to date my sister.” Ryan looked scared again.
“Spencer, if you were really my best friend you would know that I really like your sister. If you were really true, you would let me. I am pretty sure I love your sister.” Out of all of the times we were together, he never said he loved me. I smiled, my heart melting.
“I love you too, Ryan!” I hugged him. He smiled down at me.
“I don’t like this, but I better not see you doing anything by me. Like you said it is your life. I think you might have melted his icy heart Selbs. I have never heard him said he loved anyone.” He smiled at us. Ryan and I went into his bunk and laid down.
“Is that true?” He looked at me, blushing.
“Well, it is true. I haven’t been the best boyfriend in the world. What I said was 100% true. I wouldn’t lie about that. I do love you.” I smiled and kissed him.
“I love you too!” We kissed again, I heard footsteps.
“I don’t hear talking!” Spencer said. I then thought of a trick.
“Okay, we will only talk. Anyway, so I would slowly kiss down you next leaving soft red marks. I would pull back to your lips…”
“AHHHHH! MY EARS! STOP THAT I WOULD RATHER YOU KISS THEN DO THAT!” Ryan and I busted out laughing.
