Pokemon Heroes

“That’s it Hitmonlee, go!” A strange voice called from not too far up ahead.

“What was that?” I asked.

“Sounded like a trainer,” Elliot pointed out as the call sounded again.

“Let’s go, it might be Carlos!” Mason said running ahead.

“He’s not going to give up, is he?”

“Nope, not in the least,” Elliot said starting to run after him.

Three boys stood in a big field with a small shimmering lake off to the side.

“Hitmonlee, Jump kick!” The boy called.

“Hitmonchan, grab it then Mach Punch!” A different boy called. Closer to the lake another boy (ug) wearing a berate, seemed to be painting the battle along with his Smeargle.

“ARE THERE NO GIRLS IN THIS PLACE????!!!!” I shouted. (maybe too loud.) The battle froze, the painter boy turned around and Elliot and Mason had a surprised look on their face. Suddenly, a young girl broke out of the water with a Buizel.

“What’s going on?” The girl said, drying herself off.

“Oh, these idiots interrupted our battle,” Hitmonlee’s trainer said pointing to us.

“That’s fine right, you two are battling too much anyway,” The girl said putting her arms around the two boys. The painter turned back to painting.

“I’m Jinni, this is Chris,” She pointed to Hitmonchan’s trainer. “this is Fen and that guy painting over there is Joyce.”

“Nice to meet you,” Elliot said. “I’m Elliot, that’s Mason and the girl is Alice.”

“Hi there, it’s nice to finally see a girl around here,” I murmured to Jinni.

“You get used to it,” She murmured back.

“Alright , back to our battle!” The two boys shouted and all four of them ran off.

“Well, I’d like to go swimming with you,” I said to Jinni.

“Sure, and I can tell you the thing bout’ this lake.”

“Thing sounds eerie to me…” I said after I had changed in the cottage the four of them owned.

“Not really.”

“Well, this lake is inhabited by Suicune,” Jinni was saying.

“Suicune? Really!”

“Yup, and I plan to catch it!” Jinni’s eyes we’re filled with dreams of capturing Suicune, and after wards, she voiced them to me.

“Well, let’s see if we can find this bad boy first,” I declared, diving into the water. Jinni dived in after me, and Buizel followed. Under water looked so wondrous that a couple of times I forgot I had to go up for some air. But still after exploring as far as we could go with out fainting with out air, no Suicune.

“Maybe we could take another look tomorrow?” I suggested, when everyone was inside eating and we were still outside.

“Ok,” She agreed.

“Dinner was, fantastic,” Mason said, going to bed.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s all fine and dandy but I would really like to sleep now so, if you don’t mind…SHUT UP!” Elliot shouted, obviously cranky because he had to sleep on the floor, instead of one of the two comfy guest beds. I had a sleep less night because of a strange Pokemon call.

“What is that?” I whispered to myself. I walked up to the window(careful not to step on Elliot) and looked outside. There was some kind of glowing Pokemon drinking from the lake. Suicune! I gasped when it turned. Jinni, I’ve got to wake Jinni…I thought running out the door.

“Jinni, wake up it’s Suicune, wake up!” I shook her constantly until she awoke.

“What do you want?” She asked drowsily.

“Suicune’s outside!” I pointed to the window.

“Wha? Then let’s go!” Jinni jumped out of bed and raced to the front door. Sure enough Suicune was out there, but it wasn’t alone.

“A Pokemon hunter!” Jinni gasped. “And they’re taking Suicune!”

“Huh? Uh! Meddling trainers! Jock, deal with them!” The head of the group shouted.

“Hey, little ladies,” Jock (apparently) jumped out of the helicopter lifting Suicune to it’s doom. “What right do you have calling us pokemon hunters? We’re not hunters, just team Galactic making an important stop. So we’ll all appreciate it if y’all don’t get in the way now.”

“And I’m guessing you’re not from these parts?” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Suicune!” Jinni shouted, racing after the helicopter. Jock, put out a hand to stop Jinni from running away.

“Turtwig, Vine whip! Grab Suicune!” Elliot’s familiar voice sounded from behind, along with Mason, Fen and Chris’ loud stomping.

“Hitmonchan, Mach punch on the Helicopter,” Chris commanded.

“Hitmonlee help out with Seismic toss!” Fen commanded.

“Turtwig’s Vine whip isn’t strong enough!” Elliot shouted, “Mason make Piplup use water gun and help out.” Without needing a command, Piplup used water gun on the chains pulling Suicune up.

“Retreat! We’ll come back for Suicune later!” The head shouted. At once all of the team Galactic goons jumped onto the Helicopter and flew off.

“Suicune!” Jinni ran over to the water Pokemon. Suicune got up and bowed it’s head, in tanks to us. After, it dived into the lake.

“Won, we won!” Mason cheered.

The next morning, Mason, Elliot and I were heading off.

“Thanks for letting us stay the night, and I hope we can see each other again someday,” Elliot said, walking off.

“Sure,” Jinni agreed.

“Alright guys let’s get to that gym!” Mason said running off again.

“One day I whish we could just walk,” I commented running after, with Elliot close behind.
