A couple of teenagers around my age were standing around like it was some-kind of funeral. I wiped my hand over my face and looked at it. Water dampened my hands.
Who would sneak in when someone’s sleeping and pour water on their face?!
I looked at all of the teenagers with a questioning glance. They all looked at each other, like a couple of children that broke something special.
I took the time to look over each one of them.
The two guys closest to me, who i figured poured the water on my face, looked alike, they were twins!
There was a small girl in the back, closest to the door. She had long red hair and wore a jacket that looked like it dived in lint, AND had fun.
Beside herwas a lanky boy that looked young in the face, but his body contradicted him.
All of them looked related.
Then i looked to the right of the room. There stood a tall boy with light brown hair and even lighter brown eyes. He leaned against the wall in a alarmed position.
"I-You..."My face grew even more confused, "Who are you people?"
The twin on the right opened his mouth to speak, but the one on the left cut him off.
"My name is Fred!", He grinned. "And this is George!" He nudged his head to the other twin.
"That's Ginny over there!" He pointed to the girl in desperate need of a lint roller.
"Ron." He said simply, "And Cedric." He nudged his head to the tall boy with the brown hair.
"Uh." I said simply.
Cedric tooth smiled and i could feel an uncomfortable expression coming on.
"And... Why are you here?" I asked.
George answered this time. "We came to wake you up! It's time to go shopping!"
Your eyebrows arched. "Shopping?"
Everyone grinned andmy eyes widened.

"Come on sweetie! Quicken your pace!" Molly yelled me. I hastened.
"Go and wait by the boarding wall if you want everyone! I'm taking Vandila for supplies!"
Everyone rushed off but the boy named Cedric stayed put.
"I'll come along, if any helps needed." He smiled at me and i felt shivers go down my back.
Geee..
Oh no... like i need ANY more reasons to be ANY more embarrassed. I mean, i don't even understand this stuff let alone know what i'm shopping for. He strode before me while i struggled with my suitcase full of clothes. Molly was too busy searching the lit and looking for stores so he slowed down to meet me.
"Need help?"
"No. I have it. Thanks."
"Looks like you do" , He said with a cocky smile.
I was getting alittle mad.
I glanced sideways and his eyebrows raised and put his hands up as if to say 'I didnt do it'.
"Woah! sorry it just looked like you needed some help... You were tripping and stuff."
I softened my look.
"Ugh...sorry. I've been acting like a jerk latley. Juat.." I thought about telling him about me running away but i shake my head. "Nevermind."
"Something happened?", he asked, looking at me.
"Yeah."
He frowned sympathetically. "No need to say anything further. I understand."
I looked at him and smiled. I gave him my bag and he laughed.
"Your pretty interesting for a girl."
I laughed.
"Your pretty much the stalker type for a boy."
We both laughed.
"Oh! this one first!" Molly shouted, we both turned our attention to her.
She hustled into a store named 'Wangs Wands'.
I looked it over and got alittle scared. Cedric took my shoulder and pulled me in.
"Oh, your going to love this one.." He said in a hushed tone, filled with sarcasm.
A oriental girl stood up from behind the corner.
"Hello, Welcome!" She looked me over. "Trying for a wand?"
Molly nodded and smiled at her.
The girl went behind the counter and pulled out what looked like a polished stick.
She handed it to me and i stared at it.
"This is a basic wand. Most popular with students!"
I looked at her, terrified and embarrassed. She blinked.
Cedric sighed and spoke, "Give it a whoosh. Wave it."
I waved it and nothing happened.
He groaned and i blushed. He made his way towards me and took my wrist.
I immediately jolted on instinct (From encounters with Grace and Grant).
He looked at me weird and i blushed even more.
Molly and Wang the Wand girl looked at me strangely.
"Sorry!"
He shook it off and took my wrist gently this time.
He was behind me, alittle too close for my comfort and waved my hand.
"Swish and flick." He jolted my hand on the 'flick' part, showing me how to wave it.
He showed me once more and backed up a foot or so.
I waved and flicked the wand.
The lights in the tiny store flickered like a lightning storm.
We all looked around, startled.
Abulb next to Cedric blew up.
He ducked and Molly and Wang jumped. The lights flickered back on.
Molly spoke. "DEFINATLEY not that one! She has a bit more abilities. Do you carry anything a notch higher in level?"
"I think so" Wang went behind her desk again and came out with a pink box.
Eww..pink..definatley not that one...
She handed it to me and scurried behind her desk. Molly walked behind a table and cedric picked up a book, ready to block anything thrown.
I rolled my eyes and waved the wand.
I waited for something to happen, but nothing did.
Wang started, " I think that may be-"
Schroom!
The paper copier on the side of the room by molly spewed papers.
Wang rushed over and unplugged the machine. Wang chuckled.
"OKAY. Not that one." She looked at me. "Hmm... it's very rare, but...i got this in stock a couple years ago...try it out."
She went behind the counter and into the back room. I looked at everyone else.
Molly smiled at me insecurely and i mumbled a 'sorry' and looked at Cedric.
He held a piece of cloth to his forehead. I gave him a questioning glace but he just smiled.
Wang came through the door handling a silver box she set it on the counter and took the wand from inside it and placed it neatly into my hands.
She backed up behind the desk again.
The wand was silver and felt really light, unlike the others.
And another thing about it, it felt soooooooooo good! a tingle in my chest couldn’t help me from smiling.
I waved it immediately.
Everyone braced themselves.
Nothing. Everyone waited a bit longer. Nothing.
My smile widened into a grin. I couldn't help it.
Wang nodded her head "Wow." Her mouth held open. "Dragonheart tissue and silver dark mermaids tail shedding..."
Mollys face twisted to 'uh? no? your pulling me?' face and Cedric looked impressed.
Molly finally talked, "I guess well take that one." Wang nodded. Cedric smiled and got off the floor.
We walked out of the store and Molly jittered.
"Small amount of time left! well have to split up! Cedric take Vandila for a post pet! Ill go for books and cauldrons! hurry now!"
I followed Cedric around a couple corners. He finally faced me and asked,
"Owl, cat, or rat?", I was about the answer but i saw a red blotch on his forehead.
"Oh! that glass cut your forehead! i'm so sorry!" I rummaged around in my pocket and pulled out my handkerchief and poured some of the water from my bottle onto it i reached up to his face and he dodged.
"Really you don't have to! i'm fine!"
"You look homeless! come here!"
I held his shoulder and slightly stood on my toes and wiped the blood off his forehead.
"There."
He rolled his eyes and i made a 'pfft' sound.
"Hmm.. Owl... i can dress it up- wait what? i'm getting an actual animal?! a pet?!"
I was so excited... i never had a pet, really... i once had a fish... but the night i got it we happened to be serving fillet. but thats not the same!
Wow. An actual pet.. I felt my face melt.
I spotted a fluffysilver owl staring at me the same way Cedric was. I pointed to it.
Cedric chuckled and shook his head.
"You a strange girl..."
