Last time:
__ Art told Kira and Kodak, his new 'parents', that his older brother is possibly lost in the Land of Fire. Kira agreed to go back to her homeland to help find his brother, alongside Kodak, Elam, and Ivan. The five of them exited their cave home and trudged through the snow towards the border bridge.

{Meanwhile}

The Queen was sitting in her golden throne, her thrown room was up in flames in her rage. "Where is she!? Where is my daughter," she yelled demandingly.

"We would like to know the same thing, Your Majesty," the Prime Minister of the Volcano Region said, walking in with his three sons.

"Ahh, the Volcano King and his young sons finally arrive," she said, calming down instantly, putting out the flames from her rage. "I welcome you to my humble castle," she said, standing and taking three steps towards them.

The Prime Minister bowed, "We accept your welcome gratefully, Your Majesty," he said, his three sons repeating him. He raised his head, "My Queen, if I may, where is Princess Kira?"

"I am not so sure at the moment, myself," she admitted, the words spitting out of her mouth. "I assure you, Prime Minister, I have a search party going to look for her. She will be back shortly, whether she likes it or not."

The three sons looked at each other. On each of their lips, a smirk was being played to the others. All three of them wanted the Princess. All three of them were competing against each other for her affection. All three of them hada plan.

Once the Princess had picked her Prince, and once they had married, the other two would join in on the honeymoon, each taking his turn.

The lust of a teenager was not to be misjudged.

{Kodak's Point of View}

I carried the Princess the entire way to the entrance of the cave.

The bridge connecting the two countries was hidden in the fog. To get down to it, through the canyon, you had to go through an ice cave. The bridge is between the two, in between the walls of the canyon. Across the bridge, is the cave of the Land of Fire. We would have to be careful when we got there.

Kira looked extremely nervous as we arrived at the bridge. I looked at her, "Are you alright, Princess? Are you having second thoughts?"

She shook her head, "No, I'm fine," she said. She was still tense as if she was scared, but her voice was level and sounded convincing.

I nodded, "Alright, then," I said. I walked across the bridge and took the first steps into the Land of Fire. I could already feel the heat from the ground. No wonder there was so much fog in the canyon.

She looked at me, "Kodak, can you set me down?"

I nodded, "Of course," I said, setting her down gently on the ground.

She put her hands over her leg, "I'm not sure if I can do this or not, but here goes..." she said. Her hands began to glow from the heat of her Fire. I watched her curiously.

Magma seeped through the cracks of the rock and surrounded her leg. I looked at her worriedly, "Kira? What are you doing?"

She shook her head as if to tell me to be quiet. The magma began to flow around her leg and surround it. She clutched her hands around the air, not closing her hands all the way. The magma hardened around her leg, creating a cast.

I blinked, wondering what she was doing. She looked up at me, "I'm trying to make the heat from the cast heal my leg, so you don't have to carry me around," she explained.

I tilted my head, kneeling down next to her, "Can you do that?"

"Yeah," she said, "The hardest part is getting the magma. I'm not from the Volcano Region, so it's harder for me to learn to summon it. But using heat to heal a bone is easy," she smiled, "It already feels better."

I nodded, "I see. How long does this take?"

She thought a moment, "At the rate it's going, it'll take about five or ten minutes."

"Really? That's quick," I said, amazed at how quickly she could heal herself.

She smiled, "Yeah. A useful little thing I picked up from my mentor," she said, looking back down at her leg as she leaned her back against the cave wall.

Surely enough, five minutes later, she let the magma droop back into the earth and removed the cast herself, wiggling her toes to show her leg wasn't broken anymore.

She grinned up at us, "See? Told you," she said proudly.

I nodded, "I see," I smiled, "But can you stand on it?"

"Sure," she said, standing up. "Doesn't hurt at all," she said, jumping up and down on her once-broken leg.

I smiled, "Shall we go, then?"

She nodded and took my hand, "Yeah. Come on," she said, leading the way into her homeland.
