Last time:
Art revealed to Ivan and Elam that he has an older brother, Hesper, who is trapped in the Land of Fire (Princess Kira's homeland).

{Kira's Point of View}

As Kodak and I sat in front of the fire for a while, I started to doze off again. Kodak rubbed my shoulder, waking me up a little, "It looks like Art wants to talk to you," he told me.
I nodded and looked passed him, "What is it," I asked him gently. He looked upset, so I opened my arms up, gesturing for him to come give me a hug while he explained.
The little boy sat between Kodak and me, hugging me. I ruffled his hair, "Art, what's wrong?"

He looked up at me, "My big brother is in the Land of Fire," he said quietly. I had to strain to hear him.

I blinked, not believing what I had just heard. "Your big brother...?"

He nodded, "His name is Hesper... My old daddy told me he went to the Land of Fire..."

Kodak looked down at the boy, "Why did he go there?"

"Hesper told me he was going to go there someday... He said he wanted me to have a big, warm, safe place to play with him," Art explained quietly, "But he left a very long time ago... I don't know where he is..."

Kodak looked at me, "Do you want to go?"

I thought about it, long and hard. After a while, I nodded, "We'll all go and look for your brother," I said.

Kodak blinked, "All of us?"

I nodded, "Yeah. I can keep my mom distracted while you guys go find Hesper."

"Is that a smart thing to do," Elam asked, walking towards us and sitting by the fire.

"Well, maybe not for me... But Art needs his older brother," I said, "And I know what I'm doing. I'll be fine," I said, reassuring them. They all looked worried.

"How are you going to do that with a broken leg," Elam pointed out, raising his eyebrow.

"There are plenty of branches on the border," I told him, "I can make a crutch."

After a while, Kodak spoke up, his voice deadly serious, "I'm going with you."

I looked at him and shook my head, "No, you're not. Mom will have you killed," I told him, giving him a scolding look.

"I cannot stand the thought of your mother or those... Princes doing anything to you. I'm going with you," he said, staring strait into my eyes.

I glared back at him, "No, you're not!"

"Princess, I'm afraid you are outnumbered here," he said with a soft smile.

I blinked, trying to figure out what he meant. I looked around. Elam and Ivan had the same look as Kodak did. The look that said, 'You aren't going alone.'

I sighed, "Alright, fine. But stay in your wolf form," I told him.

He nodded, "Fair enough." He chuckled, "Now, get your coat, dear. We're leaving."

I laughed, "I would if I could, but I can't. And that's not the royal blood talking," I said, looking at my broken leg.

Kodak smiled and put the poncho-like-coat over my head, "No need to get up, Princess."

I blinked, "Hey, where'd everybody go," I joked.

He chuckled and lifted the hood from my eyes so I could see. His nose was almost touching mine. "I'm right here," he said, "As I will always be, as long as you wish it."

I blushed. I couldn't help it. Him, being that close, and being so sweet. It'd make any girl blush, wouldn't it? Especially if the girl could feel his breath on her lips.

He smiled and kissed the back of my hand gentleman-like, "Up, we go, Princess," he said, lifting me up bridal style.

I blinked and wrapped my arms around his neck, so I didn't feel like I would roll right out of his arms, "Okay, this is new," I said.

He chuckled and walked towards the exit, pulling my hood down again.

And, with that, the rest of them followed in their animal forms through the snow and ice.
