"BILL KAULITZ! FIVE GIRLFRIENDS IN FIVE COUNTRIES! INTERVIEWS WITH GIRLFRIENDS AT MINTS.COM!"
That's what the headline said. I was still on the phone with Bill, only half listening to what he was saying. Something about wanting a date.
"Hang on," I said walking over to my laptop.
Mints was a very popular international magazine. I clicked on the link and began to read the story. It said while on Tokio Hotel's European tour, Bill aquired five different girlfriends in five different countries. It had interviews with the supposed girlfriends, and they all said the same thing: "We went on a date after the concert, kept in touch, were a couple,he said he would always love me, he left, never contacted me again for a month, and then broke it off." Two of them even said he went all the way with them.
"Hey Bill?" I said.
"Yes?" he answered. I couldn't believe it. The Bill I thought I knew wouldn't have done something like this. I wanted to talk to him before anything else.
"Um, I'm reading something online," I began, "Something about you."
"What is it?" I could sense the nervousness, fear, and anger in his voice. He could tell from my tone that it wasn't good things I was reading.
"Five girlfriends in five countries," I said, and I went on to tell him about the interviews and about what they said.
"Oh no," he said. I could imagine the look on his face.
"Care to explain?" I asked. I was a little pissed.I didn't think he did that to those girls, especially the two that claimed he 'did it' with them, but if the stories were true I couldn't believe he was asking me out.
"I don't know what the hell they're talking about," he said, "I went on a couple dates with a couple girls, and I think I had one girlfriend, and yeswe broke up, but nothing happened likeanything they're saying."
I decided to believe him for the moment, but was still a little unsure. I know that Bill can get drunk sometimes.
"So? Do you wanna go on a date with me?" he asked. I remembered that's what he was talking about before.
"Um, sure," I replied.
"Tonight okay? Maybe at like five?"
"I think so. Where should I meet you?"
"Could I pick you up?"
"Sure."
"Cool! See you at five!"
"See you."
I slowly hung up the phone. I was confused. What gave the girls the motivation to lie? Was Bill telling the full truth? I decided to put it out of my mind and finally took my shower.
I put on my Three Days Grace tee and some jeans. I tried to concentrate on the book I was reading, but it was hard. I kept thinking about the stories. Bill did say he had a girlfriend and broke it off with her, was she one of the girls? Why did he break up? All the mystery made me wonder that if the whole thing was true, was I just another girl that he was going to do that to? I forced it out of my head and continued reading until three minutes before five, when I heard the doorbell. I left my bag behind and just put my cell phone in the pocket of my AFI hoodie.
"Ready?" Bill asked me.
"Yep," I said. I yelled bye to my mom and dad, and got into the passenger seat of the Blazer.
"I know you've been thinking about the rumors. I have too. And in case you might be wondering, my ex that I mentioned broke up with me, not the other way around. I think the girls said that to the magazine for attention," he said.
"Maybe," I said half-heartidly, looking out the window.
"Please believe me, Dahlia. I'm not lying," he said. We pulled up to a red light, and I looked at him, right into his pleaing eyes. I could see the truth in them. I scolded myself for even thinking about believing a magazine over him.
"I believe you," I said. I could see his tense body relax, and I felt better. Putting the situation behind us, we continued on our way.
"Where are we going, by the way?" I asked him.
"You'll see," he responded with a grin on his perfect face. I hadn't known him long, but I felt like I knew him for five years, no longer, no less. He turned on the CD player, and Becoming the Bull by Atreyu came blasting out. He was about to turn it down, but looked and saw me smiling and singing along, so he left the volume alone and began to sing along as well.
I noticed we were in a part of town I wasn't too familiar with, and realized Bill might not have a clue where he's going.
"Bill, are you sure you know where you're going?" I asked him.
"Of course! I've been memorizing how to get to places in this town, and was driving around, got lost, and found this place," he said.
I was nervous, but trusted him. Then it came to me. How does he have an American driver's license anyways? I thought. I decided to ignore the question and continue singing along to the music.
Soon enough, we were in front of a beautiful pond with willow trees all around it.It was amazing.
"Bill, this place is gorgeous!"I exclaimed.
"I thought you might like it," he said as he walked over to the now-open trunk. He pulled out a picnic basket and sat down on the edge of the trunk, patting the spot next to him. I went over and sat down. He had the car parked so the back was facing the sparkling water.
Bill pulled out a small bottle of champagne and poured it into two glasses. I took mine.
"This is good," I said after my first sip.
"Yeah, it's better than I thought it would be," he said.
He pulled out the food, just some assorted snacks - but lots of them. We didn't eat a lot, just sat and talked. I really enjoyed spending time with Bill. It felt so... right. Like it was meant to be. We lost track of time, but Bill looked at his watch at cursed.
"We should be getting back now, it's nine," he said as he began to pack up.
I cursed as well and helped him pack.
"I really enjoyed that," I said as we drove off.
"Yeah, me too. We should do it again sometime," he said. He turned and smiled. His smile made me blush and melt.
"I'd like that."
It was almost silent the rest of the way to my house, but it was a very comfortable silence. We pulled up the driveway.
"Well, thanks again. Bye," I said as I was about to open the door. Bill stopped me, grabed my arm, and pulled me into a kiss. It was very gentle, like the one when we were playing Truth or Dare, but full of passion. I knew right then and there that I was in love with Bill Kaulitz.
