The Most Popular Guy In School Hates Me, And Now The Whole School Hates Me! part 1

“Cora, honey, how was school?” my mom asked me the minute I walked in the front door. “Great mom, I made this new friend named Jasmine, do you mind if I sleep over at her house tomorrow night?” I decided not to tell her about Brandon and everybody hating me because then she would probably come to school and talk to everybody about it. How embarrassing would THAT be?!

I grabbed a packet of MM’s off the counter and went upstairs.

“Hey Cora, what’s up?” My older brother Devon asked me as I was walking to my room. “Not much, you know, the usual, everybody in school hates me except for one girl, how bout you?” He chuckled, then replied, “Sounds fun. I met this guy today, I think his name was Jesse Meens, he was pretty cool so I’m going to some party of his tomorrow night.” I gasped then said, “no way! Jasmine Meens invited me to a party at her house tomorrow night too! We can carpool!” Devon laughed then said agreed and walked away.

Walking into my room, I shut the door behind me and ate a blue MM. I called Jasmine and told her I could come. “By the way, do you happen to have an older brother named Jesse?” I asked her before I hung up. “Ya, why?” “He invited my older brother to the party tomorrow night, weird right?” Jasmine laughed, agreed, then said she had to go. I hung up and tossed my cellphone onto the carpet.

The next day I packed up everything I would need for the party, then Devon drove me too Jasmine’s house around 3pm. As I was waving goodbye, he shouted out, “have fun! I’ll be there tonight so don’t do anything stupid!” then drove off.

On cue, Jasmine ran outside and grabbed some of the bags from my hands and jumped up and down. “Oh my god I am so excited, hurry up and put your stuff away, we have to get ready for the party!” I laughed and followed her into the house.

It was small, with tan carpeting on the floors and creamy walls. We dropped my bags off in her room, which was painted red with a dark purple carpet and cluttered with junk.

“Ok now everybody is gonna be here at 7 so we have to start getting ready! I get to do your hair and makeup and pick out your clothes ok, and you can do me! It should be fun!” I laughed, agreed, then followed her into her closet and started looking for a cute outfit for her to wear. Finally I spotted an adorable red tanktop with a white anchor on it, and a pair of tight black skinny jeans. I grabbed them and set them on her bed.

Walking into the room, Jasmine declared, “your beauty clothes are in the bathroom for you to change into your highness!” I giggled then left the room and entered the bathroom. Laying on the countertop was a light pink tube top and a short black ruffled skirt. I slipped on the outfit then admired myself in the mirror. “Plain but cute. I like it!” I said to myself as I walked into Jasmine’s room.

“Oh my god you look so adorable! And how did you know that this is what I wanted to wear?” Jasmine said in excitement. I shrugged and allowed Jasmine to push me into a tall wooden chair in front of a mirror.

After an hour had passed, Jasmine and I were both totally ready for the party. Just as we walked downstairs, Jesse Meens entered the living room.

“Hey Jess, who’s this?” he said, noticing me standing there. He gave me a quick once over and I found myself blushing.

“This is Cora. I know what you are thinking Jesse and stop thinking it now! If you touch her at all tonight I swear I will have mom ground you for a year!” Jasmine said casually.

“Chill out Jasmine, jeez. Anyways, I’m Jesse, although I’m pretty sure you already know that,” He said, holding out his hand. I shook it and noticed that he was pretty cute. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Jasmine shouted out, “IT’S PARTY TIME!”
