"Yugi spent hours on your room. If I let him I bet he would have colored it your favorite color!" Solomon begins after you treck into the home behind the cardshop, eying every little detail up and down the roads of the city. You smile and giggle, arm in arm with Yugi. He is more than embarrassed by his Grandpa's rambling tendances, and shyly looks away as you both rear the foot of the staircase that leads to both your rooms.
Trailing behind is Honda with your bags, Joey flopping lazily on the living room couch with his ankles prepped against the armrest. Yugi gets your things as Honda pushes his way on the other side of the seat. "Show her all that work you did!" they shout with laughter, throwing their fists in the air with persuasion. Yugi does exactly that as you start your way up the steps.
"It's the first door to your left." your little child hood friend instructs with a heaving grunt of your luggage. You offer to haul them up the stairs, but he chants a series of 'I got it's at you. You sadly shrug and wedge open the door, glamping on a cold gold handle. The room is gorgeous and just right as you step in. The walls area dull blue, but everything else is to your liking. Trinkets of your favorite color as well as stationary are lined up on a dresser, and so are custom sheets. "You can take everything home when you leave." Yugi tells you, collapsing on the hinge of the door.
You rejoice, hugging him lovingly around the neck. It is more than the sentiment to you, since most of the things he picked out are something you have never really grown accustomed to seeing in the West. You thank him repeatedly, and then ask if you can see his room. You tell him that you believe it is just as good.
He rubs the back of his neck with a chuckle of light humor. "I don't really spend as much time with my own decor. I just thought you might like it, and feel more at home." you adored everythig he had done, and in fact it felt beyond being at home. You shut the door behind you as you follow Yugi farther up the stair to his own open door that radiates from the windows brilliant view of the night sky. The moon is full and the stars are dancing as you make yourself cozy on Yugi's bed, the tin can of Duel Monster cards that were given to you at the airport in hand.
