A Deadly Obsession (chapter one)

Angela Williams looked over her shoulder, she couldnt help but feel she was being watched. A shudder went up her spine.
"It's just the cold" she thought as she closed the curtains on her window. She paused, was that a face? "no it couldnt be..."
She slowly got undressed and into her long white nightgown. She stopped at the foot of the bed. Her beloved Jonathan was sleeping peacefully, she thought about waking him up.
"he had a long day" she thought and decided against it. She crawled in beside him. He was so warm, so gentle. She really loved him. But she was careful, she remembered the last time she thought she was in love. That was years ago, but it still haunted her dreams. She could still hear the screams and terrified cries of her children. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks as she remembered their last words. Both of them had said, "I love you mommy..."
she just let the tears come. she could feel the burning in her eyes.
Why couldnt he accept that she didnt want to be with him anymore?
Why did he have to take it out on the children?
So many questions... if only there were answers.
Jonathan moaned in his sleep. She wiped her eyes and pushed the thoughts out of her head. He was still out there. They never found him. Even though the police think he went to Mexico, she couldnt help but feel he was there, watching her. The sudden thought came to her mind that he was the face she saw in the window. Terrified, she brought herself closer to Jon, wrapping his arms around herself. Feeling terrified and confused she drifted into a restless sleep.
the next morning
Angela woke up and immediately felt something was wrong. It wasn't until she sat up that she realized what it was. Jonathan was gone.
"oh no" she thought "it was him" she was about to grab the phone and call Detective Baker, when she saw the note. Hesitating, her hands shaking, she picked it up and unfolded it.
