"Right then class, we have two new pupils. They're names are Tom and Bill. I see you two have find places to sit." Mrs. Leese said.
Bill and Tom nodded.
"Right. Today we are going to start on a group project. I want everyone to get into groups, mazimum 5 people." She told us.
Everyone looked around, I just sat there.
"Whats the project miss?" Mark shouted out. He was the class clown.
"Well, in your groups, you're going to compose your own song. If you play an instrument, bring it in, if not, then you'll have to use the instruments that are in this classroom." She told us.
"Now. Get into your groups!" She then saidto us.
She was one teacher who didn't choose who we went with, thank God.
"Holly, who you going with?" Tom asked me.
I just shrugged.
"Shall we go together?" He asked me.
"Erm, ok." I said back.
I felt someone kick my chair.
I turned round.
"Yes Bill?" I asked him.
"Can I come with you two?" He asked, giving me those puppy dog eyes.
"Yeah sure." I said.
"Can I?" He asked me.
"Yes Bill. You can come with us." Tom butted in.
Bill jumped up, bringing his chair with him to join us at our table.
"Right, so I'm deffinatly come with you two?" He asked us.
"Yes Bill!" We said at the same time.
"Ok. What shall call the song?" Bill asked.
"Do that last. It makes it easier." I said.
"How do you know?" Tom asked me.
"I write songs all the time, but I'm no good at it." I told them.
"Ok. Do you play any instruments Holly?" Tom asked me.
"I sing. But thats it." I told him.
"Ok. Bill, you can play the piano." Tom told him.
"Ok. Erm...How are we going to put it together?" Bill asked.
"Erm. Ok. Bill, you come up with the piano part, I'll come up with the lyrics..." I said, freezing.
I looked over at Tom. Did he play any instruments? If not, then what can he do?
"I play the guitar so I'll come up with the chords as you come up with the words." Tom told me.
"OK. Lets get started!" Bill said clapping his hands.
We got to work, working hard on the song, we all lovemusic, so I knew that this was going to work well. I was with two passionate music lovers, which is an extremely good thing.
And we all knew that if we worked together on this project, then it will sound really good.
I was actually excited about this music project...which makes a change...
