“Brendon behind you!” I yelled as my warning came too late and Brendon was now on the ground with Stump on top of him. I yelled in anger as I met with a random vampire mid leap and the both of us went tumbling and cussing over and over till I was on top and working diligently at pummeling his face. Somehow, amidst the fighting, cussing and snarling that had ensued when the Dandies and Fall Out Boy began fighting, another group of punk vampires decided to join in on the romp. So now we had three very angry groups doing anything the could to kill each other.
As I was punching the punk vampire he had somehow worked his feet out from under me with a swift blow, he kicked me in the stomach and I flew off of him, hitting the ground with a loud “UMPH!” I snarled much like one of the vampires as I rolled on my back and kicked my legs out as I quickly got back up.
“Did blondie get hurt?” he mocked in a baby voice. I screeched like a banshee as I tackled him to the ground and gave him one hard blow to the side of his head, stunning him before he stopped moving. He rolled his head over ot look at me as he gasped when I grabbed his chin and the back of his head before jerking and listening to the loud snap that came from his neck. He yelled in pain as he tried to stand up. Snapping a vampires neck will not kill them, it only hurts them immensely. I pulled out one of the stakes from my belt and chucked it at him as it struck him in the chest and he flew backwards, disappearing before he could hit the ground. I got up quickly and grabbed my stomach where he had kicked me. It was tender to the touch and I could already see the bruises that were beginning to form. I hated to admit it, but Fall Out Boy was a tough bunch of fuckers. They had clearly been training hard, otherwise they would have already been defeated as they were greatly outnumbered. I quickly ran over to where Brendon was getting a beat down from Stump. I heard Brendon gasp in fear as Stump pulled out a long, menacing stake and raise it above his head as he prepared to make the final blow on one of my best friends. The stake descended and I thrust myself at the two of the with all the power I could gather up! I hit a baffled looking Stump head on as he flew backwards off of Brendon, whom I heard yell in pain. I watched as Stump went running off towards his team.
“Brendon no!” I cried as I turned around to see him lying motionless. I prayed he wasn’t dead as I crawled my way over to him as I saw a dark blood spot beginning to form on his chest. My heart raced as I ran my hand through his hair, trying to wake him. I trailed my hand across his chest to the blood. As soon as I made contact with the wound, he jerked in pain and groaned.
“OW!” he snarled, his fangs barred as he wretched in pain. I smiled as I pulled him up towards me and into a bone crushing grasp. He inhaled sharply as the pain of his wound and my desperate grasp on him became too much. “Fuck Dylan, that hurts!” he snarled, but his snarl turned to a bit of a laugh as I released him and beamed at him.
“I thought you were dead!” I said breathlessly. He rolled his eyes.
“I thought I was too there for a second, but if I was, wouldn’t I be a pile of dust right now?” he said in a duh tone of voice. I mentally slapped myself. How could I have been so stupid?
“Wow, I’m an idiot!” I admitted. He just laughed, but the moving of his chest made him cringe in pain. I looked around and noticed that we were the only ones around, the others had probably somehow moved on as they fought and were out of eyesight.
“You know, you’re covered in blood.“ Brendon said, pointing to my shirt. I looked down to see that most of my shirt was indeed covered with his blood, including my arms and my hands, which were becoming sticky with the crimson substance. I groaned.
“Great, how am I gonna explain this to the dry cleaners?!“ I sighed as Brendon laughed. I looked over to Brendon who had laid back down and was breathing unevenly. “Are you ok?” I asked cautiously. I always had to be careful, the vampires were very volatile when they were injured, quick to lash out in pain or frustration. Brendon kept himself calm however.
“I’ve been better!” he chuckled lightly. I looked over at the blood spot on his chest and began to unbutton his shirt. “Dylan, what the hell are you doing?” he asked quickly. I jabbed him in the side with my fist.
“Calm down, I’m just checking to see how bad it is.” I explained as I moved his shirt off of his wound. I quickly ripped off the lower half of my shirt, not really caring if it was one of my favorites and began to dab away the blood. “well, the good news is that you’re still here, so it didn’t penetrate your heart!” I smiled, trying to lighten his mood.
“DUH!” he said in a retarded voice. I gave him another quick jab in his side. He cringed. “OK, I’ll behave!” he said, giving in. I rolled my eyes and he gasped in pain as I tried my best to gently fix his wound. Luckily, since he was a vampire, he would probably be healed by tomorrow, though the pain would last till then.
“Its deep, but it’ll be gone in no time.” I said as he sighed in relief. “But, you’re not gonna like this!” I said as I removed his bloody tourniquet which was part of my shirt. “You have splinters from the stake and if I don’t remove them now, they might make it into your heart.” I said carefully. His look said it all as I pulled out a knife so I could try to get rid of them. He grasped onto my hand as he knew that pain was about to be excruciating.
“Just get it over with!” he growled in frustration as I went for the first splinter…

I watched from a low rooftop as the battle seemingly raged on beneath me. I would normally be enjoying the gruesome spectacle of a good fight, but something was plaguing my mind. My eyes scanned over each individual as I desperately searched for Dylan, but she was nowhere to be found. I quickly noticed that Brendon was missing as well. All I could see was the overly-cocky punks being picked off quite quickly and my fighters struggling to fight off Fall Out Boy. I set down my tea cup and prepared to search for Dylan when I felt a presence that made me smirk.
“So Pete, what is it that you want this time? to throw me off a building, or possibly kill me?” I said as I heard a low growl rumble behind me and I stood up and turned to face Pete as he stood there in one of his many black hoodies with the hood pulled over his hair, his eyes wild with hate. “You know you’ll never win!” I mocked. He barred his fangs, just as I did so as well. As if reading each others minds, we began to slowly circle each other, our eyes never breaking their hold on one another.
“Your arrogance is your downfall!” Pete spat at me I laughed lightly, causing him to grow angrier.
“Your bitterness is yours!” I retorted back. He suddenly lunged at me. I quickly stepped ot the side and thrust my arm out, catching him in the chest and “clothes-lining” him as he fell to the ground. “Pete, give up on this silly little obsession of yours, won’t you dear! Its not good for your health.” I smirked as I felt Pete’s foot make contact with my leg and a sharp pain in my leg, followed by the horrid ‘snap’ as I fell to the ground as well. Pete was on his feet in an instant, as was I. I ignored the pain that was burning from my cracked bone in my leg, it would be gone in a couple of days anyway.
“Where’s your girlfriend huh? Did she run off because it was too tough to keep up with the boys?” Pete sneered. I growled.
“Leave her out of this!” I warned. Pete took a step closer.
“After what you did to me? No, I think I’ll just take something from you then!” he snarled. In an instant I was behind him and thrust him to the ground.
“You touch her and I’ll kill you!” I growled. Pete stood up and went to charge, when the loud sound of sirens and gunshots began to echo through the streets.

I staggered off down the street, supporting Brendon as he had his arm slung over my shoulder, trying his best to keep himself from falling. It was quiet between the two of us, mostly due to the fact that we were out of breath and both were in a large amount of pain. My stomach was seriously messed up, I was beginning to think that the soreness would never go away. We rounded another corner, still no sight of the guys, when Brendon finally spoke up.
“You know, you would make a great mom!” he said randomly. I nearly dropped him as we both stumbled. I finally set him down and we both leaned our backs against the side of a building.
“And what makes you say that?” I retorted. He just smiled.
“You’re always getting us blood when we’re not hunting, comforting us and basically taking care of us!” he explained matter-of-factly. “I think you’d be great with kids!” he finished.
“EWW! Don’t make me gag!” I said. “You and I both know that I hate kids!” I said in a duh tone of voice. Brendon just laughed.
“You know sometimes I swear you’re not a girl!” he smirked as I punched him in his arm, which he rubbed in pain.
“Whatever, I’m just glad I have a boyfriend that can’t reproduce!” I said in an annoyed tone. Brendon made a disgusted face.
“There are many things that I never wanted to hear, that was one of them!” he fake gagged and I smirked in triumph. People lost their ability to have kids once they were turned into vampires, that was a fact that I was happy about. We sat there for about five minutes in peace, when a sudden gunshot shattered the silence around us.
“What the…” I began as I stood up, only to see a large group of finely dressed vampires rushing towards us. William was suddenly in front of me, with his arms pulling me into him.
“Thank God you’re ok!” he said breathlessly. I hugged hi back and then pulled away. His eyes immediately went to my shirt. “You’re bleeding, are you hurt!” he said with urgency as he pulled out a handkerchief and began to wipe away the blood from my arms. I shook my head.
“Its not my blood.” I explained to him. “Its Brendon’s.” I said as I walked back over to Brendon, who was still perched against the wall. I put his arm around my neck and began pulling him. He seemed lighter than before as I noticed Ryan had rushed over to help me, a worried and sympathetic expression on his face. “He was almost killed by Stump.” I said angrily. William just pulled me away from Brendon and Spencer took my place in supporting him.
“Lets get home now, we have a bunch of injured. We’ll stay with you till you get back to your bike!” he said quickly, motioning for the guys to follow him and I. we walked at a quicker pace than usual and William seemed on guard.
“William, what’s wrong?” I asked, wrapping my arm around his skinny waist. He just kept his eyes on the surroundings, as if searching for something.
“Nothing, its just that the police kind of gave us all a little bit of trouble back there.” he explained in almost a whisper. I was confused.
“I thought you had control over the police here?” I asked. He finally looked down at me with a worried expression.
“Those police weren’t from around here. Apparently they’ve added another squadron to the city because of our little escapades. I’m not quite sure what to do yet.” he said somberly. I sighed and leaned my head against him as we all walked. We rounded a corner and I saw my bike sitting under the streetlight where I had left it. I quickly ran over to it and swung my leg over as I prepared to start up the engine. The guys stood off on the sidewalk, watching as William put his hand on my shoulder. I turned to him, but he didn’t say anything, his face said it all. He was worried and he wanted me to be careful.
“William, I’ll be ok!” I told him with a sense of authority in my voice. He sighed and let go of me. His eyes immediately began to search the night again for something. “Go!” I said to him sternly. He sighed and gave me a quick kiss before I waved to the guys and they disappeared back to the house. I shivered as a cold gust of air ran up my spine and I kicked my foot down, starting up my bike as I took off down the street, unaware that I was being watched from one of the many rooftops…
